Staff are excellent and friendly and will do anything for you. The breakfast is basic toast and jam or scrambled eggs but you can order a big plate of fruit for a

The hotel was beautifully clean and the staff work continually to keep it that way.
The grounds are a delight to wander around,i had my favourite quiet little place in the badly needed shade to lie and read. The views from the annexe block are amazing, the lakes and trees and plants are lovely.
The staff are friendly and courteous, the room boys work diligently to keep the rooms spick and span. How nice to leave your room in a pickle and return to it at the end of the day to lovely clean bed linen and towels. There is a very good A/C system that is a bit noisy but well appreciated.
The bar staff and waiters are great, they soon learn your names and what you like to drink. The young lads who tend the grounds and help with the general running around are so polite and hard working.
Special thanks to the staff in the non smoking breakfast area who made me fresh lime tea every morning to help my tummy upset. So kind. x
The evening entertainment is low key and a bit naff by UK standards but ok, most people go out elsewhere as food is overpriced and limited in variety at the hotel compared to eating out and about.
The only negative comment I can make is the breakfasts. They are quite limited, eggs and more eggs! and the cutlery and glasses are not too clean. We used to just have a coffee then wander through to Baga or Arpora, lovely walk , build up an appetite and get a hearty brekky in one of the cafes.
A wonderful hotel for the price, booked up for next year, cant wait.

Our room was in an annexe at the far eend of the complex near the small swimming pool and I think this was the best place to be as the rooms are not overlooked. Very spacious rooms and cleaned immaculately every day.
Staff very friendly in this area of work but could not say the same for the staff at breakfast. Dissappointed with breakfast. We could have cereal or an egg dish. After the first 5 days we started to have breakfast at Brittos beach shack on Baga Beach.
There was an hourly bus to the beach but we just got in a taxi there and back with two friends, this cost us a

Great setting overlooking the lagoons.
A few minutes walk to a handful of great restaurants or 80 rupees in a taxi to Baga.
The annexe rooms were lovely and spacious and overlooked the lakes.
All the staff at the hotel were very friendly, couldn't do enough for you, the high number of repeat guests proves what a great hotel this is.

The hotel grounds and rooms are cleaned everyday to a high standard.
The hotel location is about 1 mile from the beach but the road and track is an unpleasant walk due to heat & the drivers, but it is possible to walk but there is a free shuttle bus, taxis outside the gate.
The staff are very friendly and efficient (in the Goan way)
Entertainment was something different every night (not really our taste) quite traditional but quite popular.
Would visit again & recommend
If you get chance I would recommend staying in the annex blocks as they are quieter and the balconies are not overlooked. The Hotel location after visiting the others we were looking at in Arpora is the best due to it being just that little bit out of the way but not remote.
We hired a scooter after the first week and wish we had done it from day 1 it cost 150rps a day

The rooms are large and have a sort of kitchen area which includes a fridge/mini bar (reasonable prices). Rooms are cleaned every day and bedding/towels are changed every other day. Rooms also have a TV.
The staff are fantastic, always polite and helpful and quite a few of them have worked for the hotel for many years.
There are 2 lakes next to the hotel that have some decent sized Barracuda in them that put up quite a struggle when hooked.
We haven't eaten much at the hotel as there are so many fantastic restaurants to visit. The meals we have had at the hotel were a good standard.
There are 2 good sized pools and a kiddies splash pool which are kept very clean.
Other facilities which the hotel has are:
Beauty salon
Shop
currency exchange
jewelery shop
safety deposit boxes
2 bars
24 hr reception
room service
towel service
The number of repeat guests that the hotel has is not surprising, the Marinha is a cracking hotel in a quiet area but in easy reach of just about anywhere. We are going for the 4th time in 3 weeks time!

From the outside the hotel looks good but inside is a different story. The rooms are though spacious are dark, the decor is dark, the bedding is dark, it was quite depressing. There is not enough wardrobe space or coathangers -- take your own.
The bathrooms are very basic indeed, there is hardly any space for toiletries and the towels were way past their best.
When we arrived we were told that the water was off but that it would be on in about half an hour!!!
The rooms were clean though.
The staff had a habit of coming round to restock the mini bar at about 7-30pm --just when you were in the shower, it was very inconvenient.
The restaurant was appalling, every day there was lipstick on the glasses or cups and it took forever to get served.Poached eggs were served on soggy wet bread.
On a positive note, the staff were wonderful as most Indians are. I would not have dreamed of complaining because they do their best and they do it with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble.
They make you feel really welcome.

The rooms are very spacious, basic but comfy enough for the length of time spent in them.
Breakfast is basic, but we are talking about India, look at it this way - have a basic breakfast but look forward to your evening meal elsewhere. You must visit the Mooncrest (this is on the dusty road on the way to Baga Beach), David the owner will treat you like a queen/king and the food is awesome.
There are also many restaurants further afield and some exceptional ones at that.
Staff very friendly and courteous, rooms cleaned daily to a good standard.
Stay in the annexxe as it is much more relaxed and quiet.
Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
