I am the lady that requested information regarding the accessability of wheelchairs etc.
We have just returned from Qawra Palace after two weeks there. Hotel is great, food is very good and plenty of variety. The bedrooms from the 4th floor up have been refurbished to a very high standard.
The only criticism I have is that the lifts are very narrow for wheelchairs.
Overall the holiday was a great success, we will be going back again, to say that it is a family hotel the children were no trouble.
First class hotel with first class staff and ameneties.
Do try it.

I went with my mum and grandparents and have a lovely 2 weeks at this hotel. The hotel was clean and the rooms that we stayed in were very clean and tidy and cleaned regularly.
The hotel food was ok, but then again I am a very fussy eater. My mum and grandparents thought the food was excellent and enjoyed every meal they had.
The location of the hotel was ok apart from when you wanted to go to the bus station having to walk up the steep slope.
I couldn't give enough praise for the staff at this hotel as they were lovely and everyone of them so very helpful.
Overall we have a great holiday here and wouldn't hesitate to come back here. Infact my grandparents both stayed here in June 2004 and had equally good praise for the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. They had another great holiday here and will be returning again.

This is a place not a Palace, reminded me of 'Tenko', especially if you have an inside facing room.
The staff were surly, rude and very annoying. Guests staying on an all-inclusive basis were treated like the great unwashed. Guests were assigned stations in the restaurant(canteen), we were Station B (it was like Butlins), we then had to wait for a table in Station B to become vacant, the rest of the restaurant (Station A, C,D etc.) could be empty, but you are not permitted to sit there!
The Exchange Desk is another example, I went to change my money, arrived at the desk, the cashier was sat down reading a book, he looked up at me, and promptly got his 'desk closed' sign out!!!
In-mates, sorry Guests are permitted to play Crazy Golf in the Prison, sorry Hotel Quadrangle, but God help you if you loose a ball!
In summary, a god-awful place, run by surly and unhelpful staff, with nasty food and rubbish wines.

Just returned from a brilliant week in Malta! We (a group of three students) decided to take an Easter week searching for some summer sun. The weather was pretty much like a good British summer - in April!
The Qawra palace was a lovely hotel. The staff (as the Maltese people are generally) are amazingly friendly and helpful. Just don't mistake their quietness for rudeness. Rooms are thoroughly cleaned, as is the hotel generally. My only minor complaint was that a few small maintenace issues should be looked at - but nothing major to worry about. Amenities are good, there's plenty of space by the pool, which isn't overcrowded. The bar is nice, etc, etc.
Pubs just up the road served pints of lager at 80p, or bottles of wine for

First impression was that it could do with brightening up and modernising, but did notice that some work was in progress.
Was not excited by evening, entertainment.
Did like the Cafe Royale, the hotel's own restaraunt. Watch out for Friday & Saturday night though, the locals flood the place. Having said that, they are quite friendly and we enjoyed chatting to some.
For first trip to Malta was very enjoyable. The fact that we went end of February and courier said previuos weeks holiday makers hardly saw the sun, WE HARDLY SAW A CLOUD!
Even locals said it was more like their April May weather. So that was the icing on the cake.
