The food is good, it is cooked in the Maltese style which is to be expected. My son had his 7th birthday there this year the kitchen staff and waiters went out of there wat to make him a birthday cake and to ebsure he had a brilliant birthday.
The hotel staff have always been freindly and helpfull.
The only stipulation we make is that we have a sea view.

Rooms were clean and tidy.
Food was of a reasonable standard (warm and fresh) veggies had to ask for things from the veggie menu.
Would visit again and this time try a sea view.

The high floor keeps you away from the traffic noise, though this is not excessive, and the sea view means you don't get the noise from the air conditioning units but also an excellent view of the pool area and promenade.
The rooms were of a good size, and the beds were very comfortable, and although the bathrooms are fairly small, the showers were excellent.
All the public areas of the hotel were very clean, staff seemed to be cleaning all day.
The food was plentiful and varied.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. Kevin, restaurant staff, was always very cheerful and helpful.
The evening entertainment programme was geared to the older generation but still well presented.

Rooms cleaned everyday including Good Friday. Bathroom a bit on the small side.Had a room on the 3rd floor with a side sea view, got some noise from the road that runs along the side of the hotel, a room on a higher floor would have been better. Sun on the balcony all day.
Food varied throughout 4 week stay although sometimes was only warm.
Staff friendly and helpfull.
Entertainment was aimed at the elder age group, Football, rugby lovers were better off walking up towards the bus station and stopping off at the Woodhut bar where Ray (the owner) has all the big games live ( 3 TVs ) and the foods not bad either.

Although our bedroom had been redecorated, the cleanliness left alot to be desired. The beds were only changed after we put in a request after 9 days. We then waited another 9 days and had to request a change again, but after that they were changed regularly.
Dusting never done and floors were swept once a week. Toilet leaked twice and twice it was repaired with masking tape. The toilet was not fixed to the floor. It was pot luck what clothes you were putting on as there was no light where the wardrobes were and the rest of the lighting was not adequate for reading.
Could not get air in the room at night because of the generator in the courtyard, (must go for seaview rooms, courtyard rooms dull and dismal) Food was nearly always luke warm and the biggest plate you could get was a salad plate.
I dont think they know about dinner plates! Indoor pool was out of action for a week. However there was constant hot water in the bedroom and the showers were the best we have had away from home. Also the Coffee shop attached to the hotel was very good and excellent value.
I know we went there on price, hence the food not being up to much, but I feel that cleanliness should be kept up regardless of the price. We would not go back to this hotel.

Room was an acceptable size but no light by the wardrobe.
Standard of maintainence throughout hotel is poor. Slippy floors everywhere. The pool area is especially slippy. One woman broke her leg in three places on first day at hotel. I also slipped on second day in pool of water in restaurant that had been caused by leaking a/c pipes. Be careful you have been warned.
The toilet door would not shut, (Please note "not lock" I mean would not shut). Although reported every day no action taken. When using the toilet smell entered room. Bath was very slippy but could have avoided accident if it had bath a mat.

The rooms are excellent. I would recommend you pay for the sea view rooms and if possible the upper floors as they are the best rooms. Always clean, loads of fresh towels and bed linen and the maids don't come round too early. We had a problem with a leaky toilet. This was fixed within the hour. I borrowed the maids mop to help out and when she found me doing this, she hugged me. For the rest of the trip, more fresh towels, soaps and toilet rolls than we knew what to do with!! The rest of the hotel is clean. I went into the kitchens to ask about having an omlette made for me and had a quick look around. Spotless despite being in the middle of lunch.
The entertainment is aimed at older people. But once you've had a few drinks, doesn't seem too bad. There is a disco at the weekends. Quite a small room but it's air conditioned and the DJ will play anything you ask him to if he has it.
I didn't see that much for the kids. They seemed to amuse themselves at the pool most of the time, as kids do. Maybe there is a club for them but I didn't see this advertised. When by the pool, there always seems to be a breeze blowing in from the sea and what a view!
