We found the rooms and bedding very good towels change every day, room cleaned every day.All the staff were very helpful especially Sharon in the dining room, Simon in the bar, and Rosa the room cleaner.
Food was plentiful, We will be returning , and have booked again to go in April 2006.We can only say to the people who gave those negative reports are very hard to please.
We were very pleased good value for what we paid.

When we got to the hotel we found a different story from what we had read. When we asked about we got to know the hotel us under new management (this summer). Food was good, the place was clean, the staff was nice. Nothign special but this contributing to a good holiday. Entertainment in the hotel could be better but then Qara and the area are full of pubs, restaurants, cinemas and other entertainment.

We had two bed rooms, a sitting room, very small kitchen and bathroom.
Food was ok. Breakfast we found very good, plenty of choice and as much as you want. Evening meal less good but still ok.
Games room in quite poor condition ie. pinball not working, pool table slight split in cloth etc.
Indoor swimming pool - dark, too hot and humid - felt as if there was no air! Changing room very poor condition - but staff nice.
The patio doors to our third floor balcony did not fit properly, and during the poor weather we had, we wondered if it would fall out!(it didn't.) Our bigest complaint (un-resolved) as that for our week stay we did not have hot water! Each day the staff said they would find the problem. But alas ......
Entertainment - sort of thing you would find in a pub or working man's club.
The best thing about the public rooms is there is NO smoking! - Smokers have to lock themselves into a glass room!! Thank goodness the hotel got that right

The food was passable considering it is mass catering. Sometimes better than others.
The staff were all friendly except the Duty Night Manager on our departure who would not refund our 10 lira deposit for a safe key due to us losing the receipt. (How can we have a safe key if we haven't paid a deposit?) Still waiting for this and been back for 2 weeks.
We never stayed in the hotel in the evening for the entertainment so cannot comment, but from observations the same crowd seemed to stay in there every night - so much for seeing the rest of the resort's night life.

The hotel was clean, but the food was inedible most of the time, you really couldn't tell what you were eating. The bacon was never cooked and everything was rehashed the next day. A couple of times the meal tasted sour and ended up in a serviette! Food was generally cold, and you spent time hunting around for spoons etc., which hadn't been laid on the table at the beginning of the meals.
Location was poor, and the surrounding area was scruffy to say the least, we passed a dead rat each day on our walk down to the seafront.
Entertainment was OK if you like hearing the same old music each night.
Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone and won't be visiting there again.

We have just arrived back from the Soreda and the pools, we must agree are indeed in some urgent need of attention.
The towels and sheets although clean were a bit grey at times. The room was cleaned every day and well maintained.
The restaurant was bright and clean although it would have been nice to have been seated in the same seat throughout our stay to get to know the staff better. The food although nice did on certain days have a limited selection and guests who had children only had to ask and the chefs cooked them something (not many people knew this therefore thought there was nothing provided for kids) however, the pool terrace restaurant had a very good selection of snacks and meals.
The staff were very friendly and as for the comments made about certain members of staff at the terrace bar throughout our 2 weeks stay we never saw them in anything than a cheerful mood and always happy to oblige. Although we were all inclusive we did get served until 23.30 and then up until midnight if we wanted any more drink we had to pay for it. Yes I would agree it is not a 4 star by British standards but it would definitely warrant a very good 3 star.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will be re-visiting on our next visit to Malta.

My parents enjoyed it there n so did my friend and i there were loads of things for teenagers to do including some great bars & clubs near by.
The staff were very friendly & nice. The only few complaints i hav is that the hairdryer wasn't the best, the roof top pool needed to be cleaned more & the indoor 1 was a bit dark, but the rooms & food were lovely.
I would visit again, malta & the hotel are a great place for a holiday!
