Kappara is about a 15 minute walk downhill to Sliema and a little out of it off season. The resort is set on both sides of a road and I am pleased we were in a block on the hotel side. It was very quiet but then we did go mid September.
Two pools were lovely and clean, plenty of sunbeds, outside showers worked fine. We did feel a bit limited in the evening as there was no entertainment and to get to Sliema you do have to cross a busy dual carriage way.
We didn't fancy doing that every night and traipsing back after a heavy meal but plenty did. We just eat in the restaurant and went back to our room and chatted.
It was so peaceful and quiet and a very relaxing holiday.

The resort was very friendly and clean. We did not venture out of the hotel for entertainment so cannot comment other than hotel entertainment. There is no beach in Silema - just rocks but for us this was a bonus - no sand everywhere!

Not really keen on Silema, it's hot, dirty, no beaches, load of shops but nothing worth buying.

No beach, no anything, only people pestering you to do unwanted harbour cruises.

For those of you interested in history, this is the place to be. We went out on a few trips one of those being the parrot park which was good value for money.
The resort itself is very strange as it is part British/Italian traits.
There are lots of cafes which are really nice and reasonable in price.
The only drawback with Malta is that it is quite dirty in parts and we think that if we had not been at the Fortina then the holiday would not have been as enjoyable.
In a nutshell book a good hotel and you can't go wrong.
people are very genuine and approachable.

The resort centre was quite a long walk away down a steep hill. There was alot of construction work going on and the place had an unkempt feel about it
