What is in the area
Rock bathing, lots of local bars (2 Irish),the seafront is a good place to walk of all the extra calories, If you come out of the hotel turn right and walk to the end of the road you can get a bus to Valletta (18cents) from there you can get a bus to anywhere on the Island. f you cross over the road you can get the bus to the lovely sandy beaches.
The seafront also has a Macdonalds, a couple of kiddie rides

This area is very hilly.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the town centre.
The buses are cheap and fun to travel on, and it is advisable to visit other areas in particular Valetta on Sunday for the market and Sliema for the shopping

Apart from excursion into Valetta. didn't see much of actual resort as all inclusive and stayed around hotel a lot. Visited Malta three times before so seen most of Bugibba and other sights. Lovely place.

I like Bugibba and St Pauls bay, loads on offer and it's not a big island so driving around is superb as they drive on the same side of the road as us
St Pauls Bay and Biggiga are very run down and slum like.
Bugibba is surrounded by dog fouling, broken footpaths, potholes, litter and half built / ruined apartment blocks.
There is no beach, and no sense of community pride in their surroundings.
The locals drive like madmen, overtaking on double white lines, parking on roundabouts, and never signalling.
The little bar entertainment involves a tired ex-pat Briton or semi retired Maltese singing to bad backing tapes.
I came to Bugibba 20 yrs ago, and it's got worse not better.

We had been there before to this area, and knew what to expect.
Roads are very bad, the paths are worse, with mad drivers and high kerbs
Hire a car or walk out at night at your peril

There were lots of things to do in Malta and the excellent bus service allows you to travel the whole island at a low cost.
We visited the majority of towns/villages and found interesting things to see and do at all of them.
A trip to Gozo is also highly recommended.
Malta is a lovely island to visit. We will revisit but a lot later in life.
