The resort of St Pauls and Bugibba are linked and you can get around the Island very easily using the local transport. It is a relaxed resort although very busy in summer. At night the resort comes alive on the promenade with lots of things going on. It is probably not for the young and lively but is ideal for families. There are numerous restaurants which are fairly priced and serve all kinds of food. Although there is not a sandy beach in the resort the local buses run frequently to Golden Bay where the water is clear and warm. The coastline in St Pauls is rocky and you can get into the water easily from the rocks.

If you like a holiday exploring with a little relaxation thrown in give Malta a whirl, it is full of hidden charms.

There isn't a beach!!!

This is a rock and quayside town unless you walk further down to Buggiba.

Remember the timeshare louts are everywhere. They will try any lies to get you into a deal so just say no. Malta should clean up its act here, as it really does spoil the country.
Embarrasingly so, most are English.

Use the organised tours.

M'Dina by night is cool, and The Mosta Dome is beautiful.

Take the bus to the ferry.

Go to Gozo

Buy a table cloth or three and some lace!

Don't forget the Batjira liquer.

Saint Pauls Bay although the resort whilst we were there was not in a very clean condition, this was due mainly to the flash floods which hit us and washed away some of the main roads as well as damaging cars and buildings.

It was difficult to find any entertainment other than watching the ducks take to the deserted boats in the marina.
The beach is shingle and rock so not ideal for sunbathing i would not visit this resort ever again unless you enjoy wearing wellies. The only good thing about malta was leaving.

the resort itself was good and not far to walk to all the bars and shops from the hotel.although the back streets were not well lit at night you felt very safe walking back to the hotel at whatever hour you chose. i cannot comment on the beach as anyone who has been to malta will know these are few and far between.but there are pools in abundance not only in the hotels but along the coast line in the many bars and restaurants, these can be used all day at a small cost which includes a 3 course lunch.all in all the resort is not the livliest i have been to but great for couples and familys alike.

The resort wasn't very clean the Maltese people don't really care about dogs excrements. You couldn't walk around with no shoes on and outside the hotel to the left is a really slippy path and when hot you can fall. There is a little restaurant called Black Tail to the left of the hotel Frank caters for English with a proper Mug of tea and a full english dinner or breakfast. He also hires cars and does appartments.
There isn't really a beach at Buggiba it is mostly rocks you can swim and fish there but to be honest i wouldn't go swimming there. and the toilets are foul on the beach and you have to pay to use them or you go without toilet paper.
Yes we are visiting the resort again in September of this year.

The Maltese people do not appear to take much pride in their surrondings. In the evenings they like to "promenade" with their dogs and they don't bother to clean up the mess they leave. This appears to happen all over the island.
There is plenty to do around the St Pauls Bay/Buggiba area.
We enjoyed a trip on the glass bottomed boat and it wasn't too expensive.
There isn't really a beach here.It is very rocky but people do swim here.
BEWARE of the people offering free trips around the bay. They are "Time-share" sellers and are reputed to sort of "kidnap" you for hours on end in order to get you to sign.
