I found Cancun a bit too commercialised for my liking. Whilst others may love it I prefer the quiet holiday.
Cancun is for the people wanting to get out there and do everything, there is lots to do, dolphin swimming, Isla de mujeres, speedboat jungle tour.
I would not recommend Cancun for honeymooners wanting a quiet stay.

Cancun is an amazing place to go, it has loads to offer, from restaurants, clubs, markets, historic interest, shopping and fun! Here are some of the things we did:
Went to Isla Mujeres swam with dolphins in a sea environment, also snorkelled with manta rays here. Swam round a shark tunnel, saw a parrot show and went open water snorkelling to a reef - trip was all inclusive but there was loads more things we could have done!!
Went to the aquarium and went into the shark enclosure in a perspex cage, fed them - what an experience.
Went on a jungle speedboat tour whre you drive your own speedboat -also more snorkelling - fantastic
Went to Chitzen Itcha - pretty impressive place but a long journey and the guides can drag a bit
Went to Xcaret eco park snorkelled down an underground river, went horseriding through an jungle path and along the beach, watched a very good nightshow here as well it was good.
Went to Cocobongos - The shows in this club are amazing you must go and see its brill,
Also went to another variety of nightclubs that were good
Plus loads more - Give Cancun a try it's great.

The resort was extremely well maintained the beach area was always clean,superb service on the beach, both in drink and food, the resort apart from trips we did not leave the hotel therefore cannot comment on bars around, what I did see I was not impressed would prefer to drink in the very fine hotel lobby, resort entertainment was excellent would give it a 4 as of course they were not professionals, but never the less they were brilliant,

The Blue bay Club is outside of the main resort of Cancun and so you need to go into the actual resort.
The best way to do this is get the free bus or boat to the Blue Bay Getaway.
The resort of Cancun has “Everything” you could think of to do Shopping, Drinking, Eating, sight seeing, you name it.
The Ecology park is well worth a visit they even give you the suntan lotion so as not to damage the environment.
We did the Dolphin swim and it was wonderful.
Take a trip on the Ferry to the Isle of the women, you can hire a water taxi once there and get some great snorkelling.
The only down sides that I saw was in one of the shopping centres they had a swimming pool with captive dolphins for people to swim with.
These looked in poor condition and once you had seen dolphins in the outside parks, it was obviously they were not happy.
The same applied to some of the “Shark” handling, the poor old nurse sharks could do with out us mauling them around, I would urge anyone to go to Cancun as it is great, please don’t – encourage the shopping centre’s to keep Dolphins etc. Visit the parks where they at least try to look after them properly

The resort was very clean. The entertainment in downtown Cancun is very good,there are many bars and nightclubs to suit everybody. The prices in the bars and resturants in Cancun are abit high, went to 1 bar we were offered buy 1 get 1 free cocktails, they did come in yard glasses but we were still charged near enough £10 bit much for buy 1 get 1 free if you ask me. The main beach in Cancun is fabulous, white sand, turquoise water what can I say it took my breathe away I've never seen anything like it. It really is just like the brochure pictures. I would definatly go back to Cancun but I would be very choosey about where I stay, you need to be close to resort centre to get the fabulous beach, and be careful with the hotel food.

This resort is just like Ibiza for American Teens who arn't yet 21 and want to get very drunk.

The cleanliness of this resort is very impressive, people were cleaning all the time and the manicured gardens were fantastic. The beach on the "Atlantic Side" was brilliant with good waves. There were plenty of Clubs and Pubs, Pat O' Briens shows live football league matches.

Cancun is a very nice place. Downtown Cancun is a little dirty in comparison to the Hotel/Nightclub area but it is not too bad.
The Hotel zone (By big flag) is kept very clean as are the beaches.
There is plenty to do on a night time in Cancun, lots of Bars, Nightclubs etc. Probably more suitable for Younger people.

The resort itself was ok. We didn't do many excursions although I have heard Xel Ha is a great place to visit. There are many things to do but we just wanted to relax. They can get quite pricey.
The plazas were great although I didn't find much of a price difference between Cancun and London.
I might come back again and stay at a different hotel.
The Hilton beach is fabulous! must visit that!

Wouldn't rush back to Cancun simply because my partner and I rarely visit the same place twice. We would however return to Cancun for a group holiday.
Granted this is a very tourist driven resort but the prices were not shy of what you pay in London. Luckily we were all inclusive and the open bar sufficed before the clubs were in full swing. The clubs were good. You only had to pay for entrance equivalent of $35 and it included an open bar. The malls and shops everywhere were once again ridiculously overpriced. The bus services in cancun are excellent.
If I was to return to Mexico it wouldn't be to Cancun as my partner and I didn't get to feel the full flavour of Mexico.
