Cancun can be explored on their bus service, about 3p no matter how far you travel. There are hundreds of taxi as well so getting about is easy. Language is not a promlem at all. The Mexicans are very freindly and helpful. Don't be put of by some people who complain about tipping, it is never a problem. But please remember that they are not on good wages. There is loads to do in the central Hotel Zone, clubs, resturants, posh shopping and cheap bargins.
Go swim with the Dolphins it is wonderful.
A wonderful place that will remain in our hearts for a long time.

We did not venture out of the hotel much, we booked 3 trips with aquaworld which was about 5 mins away on the public bus (35p each way roughly) We went on the cancun queen a river boat on which you can have a steak/lobster meal, that was really good, definately recommend the snorkelling trip as well. The other trip was a boat trip to isla mujeres this was good as well very laid back day. These can all be booked at the hotel and if you book more than 1 at a time you will get a discount.

Quite close to pubs and clubs. During daylight hours you could see that places were in need of a clean and spruce up.

Loads of night life going on in the strip ,shops ,shops and more shopping, lots of designer shops hand bags, sun glasses and watches . Downtown cancun you will find a walmart and loads of other shops a mini america. Plenty to do you have to swim with the dolphins they are lovely and the pirate ship is good value for money the food is lush on there. Plenty ofother trips available to.

The Moon Palace is situated outside of Cancun but you have a private beach, 2 lobbys and a 27 hole golf course on site so it needs the land around it. There are a couple of free buses from the hotel or a taxi is about $23. Cancun is quite busy but has lots of restaurants, bars and shops including a lovely luxury avenue shopping centre housing lots of designer brands, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Chanel etc.
We swam with Dolphins at Xel-Ha which was an amazing experience and we would recommend it highly.
