Excellent hotel, we stayed in the bungalows after 1 night in hotel due to freak thunder storms and arriving at 1am in the morning. We found the bungalows clean and no different to the hotel rooms, with children would def recommend it.
The pools lovely a choice of 1 large outside pool 2 children

Great family hotel! Fantastic waterslides open most of the day. Very large swimming pool which is very clean. At weekends the pool was rather crowded with locals.
Food was nice. Drinks very expensive.
Nice bungalows but up steep hill, not very nice in 35 degrees plus.
Entertainment was very repeptitive and everything repeated in different languages ie. russian.

We stayed at the Club Acapulco near Kyrenia for one week 20/10/04. The hotel is top class, the pools and the water slides are excellent and so is the beach, very safe.
We stayed in one of the bungalows, when we return next year we will stay in the hotel. This does not mean that the bungalows were poor, they very clean (cleaned every day) but they were basic, the hotel was just a higher standard.
The food in the hotel was excellent my children aged 5 and 16 are both faddy eaters but had lots of choice and always had a plate full.
Hotel entertainment was limited but we went out of season, a group each night while you ate your meal and usually a singer in the lobby bar afterwards. We didn't visit the casino but if you buy five pounds worth of chips you get a free drink.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful; the first night that we arrived we had missed our evening meal that was no problem as they were only too happy to serve us a 3 course meal.
The beach area is very clean and the waves in the afternoon are great fun without being unsafe (as long as you take a reasonable amount of care).
Before we went we heard a lot about the drink prices, they were more expensive than outside the hotel but not over the top, a pint of beer was about one pound thirty.
Two words of caution around the pool area can be slippy but if you walk and take care you should have no problem. Also food and drinks cannot be brought into the hotel, do as we did hire a car, go to the supermarket bring the food and drinks in your flight bags and lock them in your case in the room, a visit to the mini market on site is advisable so you can buy the same products as they sell then hey presto the hotel are no wiser and you can eat your crisps and drink your drinks around the pool and no-one is the wiser, make sure you put your litter back in your case until the end of your holiday if you eat and drink in the room.
By doing this the car hire paid for itself in the money that we saved. Last comment there is nothing outside of the hotel to do so car hire is recommended.

My husband and I stayed at the Club Acapulco for 10 days to the 27th October 04. We stayed in the hotel itself and found it to be correctly graded for North Cyprus where tourism is still in the development stage.
The location was approx 5 miles to the east of Kyrenia and next door to one of the many Turkish army establishments to be found all other North Cyprus. Walking to local bars and restaurants was not really possible, however daytime courtesy buses to Kyrenia meant you could spend lazy lunchtimes at one of the many harbour restaurants. The beach was lovely and sun beds both on the beach and around the large attractive pool, free and very comfortable. Need to take your own beach towels.
The staff were always friendly and helpful and the hotel nice and clean with the exception of the restaurant table cloths which were at time left on for the next customer although food stains was clearly visible.
The hotel food was good with an excellent selection including lots of local specialities, which we particularly liked. The restaurant experience however was one of our worst holidays with no atmosphere to the large area, badly set tables, blaring out live music and not enough no smoking areas. The overworked staff found it difficult to keep both tables and clearing areas free of build up, but to their credit remained friendly and cheerful throughout.

In October 2004 we visited N. Cyprus for a long stay holiday. This was our fouth visit to Northern Cyprus. We booked the "converted house" at Club Z in Kyrenia, this was supposed to be newly refurbished accommodation adjacent to the hotel.
Well it was adjacent to the hotel but refurbished it was not, the place was very poorly furnished and was not very clean, the kitchenette and bathroom leaving much to be desired The bed linen was very poor.
The hotel is in quite a convenient location within walking distance of Kyrenia town centre. On arrival this is quite an impressive self catering\B & B complex, not very big with a decent size pool. Unfortuantely these are its only good points.
The food was very poor, especially the evening meals, The whole place was very poorly maintained the pool in particular was only cleaned a couple of times during our five week stay, the bottom, sides and steps were green, and we heard very many complaints from people regarding their accommodation in the hotel.
The staff tried their best and were very friendly. The owners were more interested in opening their new Casino than in the guests they had staying there.
