The hotel has a lovely large pool and kiddies pool with snack bar (much better than CPO). As with most places, all the sunbeds are covered with towels by 10.30am even if the owners don't appear until midday.

Accommodation was in a one bed apartment which overlooked a busy ugly street. I would definitely request a pool view. The bedroom was clean but the kitchen /living area was grotty and I could not bring myself to cook there.

The staff were unhelpful, gruff and didn't look like they should be working in the tourist trade. Only the chambermaids ever smiled. We were accosted regularly by reps selling timeshares but it was our own fault - my husband can never say "no" to people!

There is a large supermarket next to the hotel and a lovely pizzeria just past the supermarket. The beach is a good 15 minute walk away, down past the CPO.

The entertainment is quite staid at the Oura Praia so we went to the CPO for the children's disco which finished at 9pm. Unfortunately what followed was bingo!! Unless you have small children I would go elsewhere for evening entertainment.

I had a wonderful holiday in this hotel. Having travelled on a number of sun holidays this was by far my favourite. The hotel was extremely clean. The air conditioning was a huge bonus. The apartments had everything you could possibly want. I was in a one bed however friends of ours stayed in a studio which was also really nice. The only thing about the studio is that studios apts are open plan and wouldnt suit people who like to go to bed at diff times. The one beds are very spacious and the kitchens are very well equipped.

I dined in the hotel a couple of nights. They have a Carvery eat as much as you like a two nights which is excellent value for 8 euro. Would advise to go early for this one as it can sell out.

The one thing about the hotel is the drink is very expensive when compared to local bars. The entertainment is fairly average, however the sister complex the Club PDO has great family entertainment in Amandas bar. again though drinks are expensive. The pool bar is also expensive for ice creams etc.

All in all have no real complaints and would def book this again. Wonderful complex excellent facilities and location
