Location
The food is good and plentiful there is enough choice to keep just about everybody happy.
The hotel is only a 5mins walk from the beach. The staff were friendly and very helpful the reps were always willing to listen and help.
The entertainment was varied and on the whole very good. We will definitely look to book again next year.

The food was delicious I really looked forward to my meals.
The location was excellent, I was practically right on the beach, plus I was near the hippie market.
The staff were really helpful and any queries were answered straight away in full English.
The entertainment was very poor. My younger children loved the shows, but I had a 15 year old teenager (Becca-lou) who was very bored and there was nothing for her to do on an evening. However, once she met some young boys she was happy.
I would recomend this hotel to other people. Whereas I will not be visiting this hotel again as I like to visit other places.
Thank you, you really made my life go brighter!!!!

The location of the hotel is very good being only a 3-4 minute walk from the centre of Es Cana and the lovely beach there.
We found the reception staff to be very helpful but restaurant staff surley and very slow to clear. We nearly almost had our used dishes left on the table right up until leaving and were often not asked if we would like to order any drinks.
We were very disappointed with the choice of food though and even the kids were sick to death of chips and think this is still of a 2 star standard. Breakfast was fine if you like your full English, but otherwise it was very limited with only tinned fruit cocktail (no fresh fruit, only for dessert in the evenings) spanish cereals, doughnuts and rolls with only one type of cheese and meat per day. I think the poor choice was due to the fact that the hotel was 90% British so little continental offerings were available.
The pool are was good with it sloping towards the deep end and a seperate kids pool. Plently of sunbeds available although the usual 'towel brigade'
Kids only went to the kids club a couple of times and it was the usual, purpose built hut to play games in but extremely hot due to the amount of glass surrounding it, not ideal. Our boys loved the football court and spent many a happy hour there.
Entertainment was ok. Visiting acts were quite good, especially the hypnotist, parrot show and drag artist but pretty dismal when the Sunset/JMC gang were taking centre stage. The usual mini disco for half an hour at 8pm, then a biscuit in hot water dunking competition EVERY NIGHT!! followed by bingo but in only one language, I actually missed it being done in several for once. The main show/act usually came on between 10 and quarter past followed by a few party dances and music to midnight sharp.
The real down point for us was the one night we were kept awake all night by 6 young lads who moved into the next 2 rooms. Firstly before they went out shouting and running along the corridors and then when the couldn't get back in the rooms at 4 in the morning because they were locked out. We complained, along with the entire 2nd floor the next morning and were told they were only staying for one night as their hotel was fully booked. They were duly evicted and presented with a bill for damage but what on earth was a family marketed hotel doing letting them stay in the first place?
All in all we enjoyed our holiday, but for the first time ever I was ready to go home especially for some decent food. We tried eating out a few times but found the restaurants very english and so-so and as a result have opted to spend more and go to a 4star plus next year.

The hotel itself is well decorated and kept extremely clean; the cleaning staff seem to be on duty all day cleaning somewhere.
The room we had was of good quality with not a bad view. The only complaint we had about the hotel was the food. Most people seemed to enjoy the food but we found it to be lukewarm all the time, it did not matter whether you went into the restaurant when they opened or later, the food was never hot and some of the food was undercooked, especially the fried eggs in the morning.
Overall, we had a good quiet holiday in a hotel that is excellent for families with small children.

I agree with many of the other comments that this should indeed be given a higher rating than 2 star. I have stayed in 4 star places that would not come near to their standard. The place was spotlessly clean and the rooms bright and fresh if a little small, although I had a single room which was more than adequate. The receptionists are truly wonderful and the nicest I have ever encountered and a true asset to The Caribe, as indeed are all the staff.
The food was a little "canteenish" but there was certainly something there for everyone. The professional entertainment was of a good standard and the entertainment team worked very hard, although not to my taste, everyone else seemed to enjoy their antics. I would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel to anyone and my only gripe would be that there is no water available with breakfast, just sickly sweet juices (tea and coffee of course) all bottled water has to be purchased and is rather expensive considering it is a basic requirement. Apart from that, it was perfectly charming. !
