Hi I read thee reviews before I went and felt sick the worst thing was the accomadition maintenance although I never complained about the faults in the room.

Believe what you want but we all had a great holiday
this is not a holiday from hell! Although some people found cause for complaint.

There seemed to be plenty of entertainment around but we took the twenty minute walk into town every night anyway. I say 20 minute walk...don't do what we did the first day and go along the coast via the old town. We ended up climbing steep hills and being trapped outside the city walls which do an excellent job of keeping invaders out even to this day.

The beach was convenient and clean and you can get ferries from there to explore the other islands. The bus station is about a 15 minute walk away and I'd recommend the buses as a cheap way of exploring the island. We went first week of July and although comfortably busy you wouldn't call the place crowded. There were no signs of drunkedness or unpleasant behaviour and there was a good mix of nationalities...quite a lot of people from Eastern Europe which surprised us.

Altogether I'd recommend the place, although I might not take children there as there isn't much for them to do.

figeuretas is one of the best places ive stayed in, a nice 5 min stroll to the beach, shops were all close by, and some very nice restaurants... the looky looky men got on our nerves a bit with their squaking ducks! one of the pubs we enjoyed was moby dicks... an excellent atmosphere, the kids loved it and were made very welcome by jimmy the barman, and rufus the dj, we would have liked to go to the kareoke bar, and all though the bar was open, it was too early in the season for the kareoke! my 0ne wish.... is that we had gone for 2 weeks, instead of 1...!!!!

The resort was clean, ie, streets, roads etc and i have no complaints about it. Although some of the beaches could have done with a clean up and tidy up.
There were a lot of different trips available.... boat trips to different islands, boat trip round ibiza, water parks, etc etc.
The entertainment was good, and very family orientated, different pubs welcoming young children, and making grandparents feel special!!

As it was before the magic 1st of May when we visited most places were closed so you did not get the true picture as I have been before many times I know it looks much better when things are open with cafes spilling out onto the promenade and people strolling along.

This resort is very Gay friendly, which is the main reason we stayed here rather than San Antonio. The location borders with the run-down dirty Playa d'En Bossa where you will find Bora Bora and Space if you want to see scantly dressed women and loud abnoxious lads.
Figurettes was quite quiet when we stayed (Early September) and it was gorgeous very picturesque with views of Ibiza town and Dalt Vila.
You must eat at 'Soleado' right on the sea front (if you can afford it) the food and setting is fabulous!
The Gay scene in Ibiza Town is really not worth the 30 minute walk and is not as described in promotional literature. It really is a vile dull hole. However do try 'Bar Red' which is gorgeous with fantastic service and 'Anfora' probably the best club on the island and without the pretentious bar/entry prices of the hetrosexual larger clubs.

the beaches in all was of a good standard, apart from the locals taking there dogs on to the prom and beach around sunset and latting them foul the pavements and beach without cleaning the pets mess up, the resort is not really suitable for children un less you walk to player de'n bossa every night

The resort was definately not our cup of tea and there was ages from 14 to 48 in our party. There were men looking for prostitutes from the local brothel. This made it difficult for the 2 19 year olds in our party when going out. They were forever being approached. The beach however was lovely. I would never go back here.

Figeuretas is a small off-shoot of Ibiza town, being about half a mile along the coast and within easy walking distance..further to the west is Playa den bossa, again about half a mile away, but easily walkable on the flat...

Figeuritas itself is a fairly easy-going place, some nice stretches of sandy beach that were never too crowded, with a jetty that the boat trips leave from (more later)

The wide promenade is flanked by numerous cafes/bars and restaurants of all types and there's no lack of choice for those eating out - the prices and quality vary immensely though - we had one or two substandard meals, but you pays your money etc.....

Beach basically clean, wish people would dispose of their cigarette ends more carefully, but there are plenty of litter bins around....

Small fish in the sea, but no nasty things like jellyfish whilst we were there (although I understand that this has been a problem at other times)

One problem is dog mess - although many people cleaned up after their pets, there were quite a number of those that didn't and the result was quite bad at times (and no, this wasn't strays that were the culprits- in fact we didn't see a single stray dog all the time that we were there...) - be careful if you're going barefoot!

As I said earlier, the jetty is the boarding point for the water excursions run from the resort - there are two companies that work the area in competition... be careful! wise to book your ticket the night before so you are guaranteed a place - otherwise you could end up standing in a queue for up to TWO HOURS without a place, with only a promise of yopur money back if they can't take you...

If you do the trip to Formentara be prepared to be landed on an outcrop of volcanic rock that you have to clamber over and then wade through knee-high water to get to the vastly over crowded beach - don't try this with toddlers/pushchairs)...There is only one cafe for meals, and their prices are extorsionate (captive audience).
On the day that we went, not only was the beach packed, but the water was full of jellyfish! We felt that the beach at figeuritas was far better!

Other things to do include pedalos with slides on them, jetskis, a banana boat and there is a open-air salt water swimming pool between two parts of the beach..

During our time there (first week in august) there was a local festival going on with activities all week - they had put up a large stage on the main town square and there was live entertainment every night, there were also a number of stall around and numerous kiddies rides, together with a fantastic firework display on the tuesday night - probably the best I've ever seen!

Ibiza town lively and chic and expensive, Playa den bossa even more lively and a little scary at times with gangs of kids pulling handbrake turns on the road in loud cars with even louder music booming out (you know the types!)

Getting about the resort is easy, it's all flat, but getting to, say San antonio is a pain - the local taxi service is hit and miss - there is a single taxi rank in the town centre, but you can stand there for hours! you might be lucky enough to flag one down...

The busses seemed to be packed, and you had to get two to get to SA...we eventially did get a taxi, cost £20 or so for the 15k trip, and no problems getting back - plenty of taxis in SA.

All in all a good basic holiday, would go back, but there isn't a lot for juveniles to do here unless they are prepared to eat out with the family and then chill, or jump a taxi (if they can get one!!) to SA

Adios amigos!

Stayed just outside of Playa den Bossa.

This is the second time we have been here and dont think
it will be our last. It has a beautiful beach, plenty entertainment and the people are friendly.

If you want clubs they are there. If you want culture its just round the corner.
