Block 2000 have views over the main swimming pool, which is really nice! Also, both A La Carte restaurants are well worth a visit, although the main restaurant has plenty of variety and high quality food also.

What could be better?.....children happy in the fab kids club for 2 hours a day,and you chilling out with the adults, on the beach or sat at the beach bar or even playing beach volley ball!!!!...all were very happy!!!!
As for the planes it became quite a novelty, and never really bothered you at all!!!!
Booked to go back.

The resort of playa den bossa is clean and has lots of shops.
There is plenty of bars and a waterpark.
The beach is really long with clean sand and warm shallow water.
I would definetly go again.

Playa Den Bossa has plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. I have a very young family so we didnt sample the nightlife except for a ride on the "tourist train" that runs at night.
The shops are pretty much all the usual selling cheap cigs and booze to beach gear. There were quite a few mini stalls around all selling jewlery and sunglasses, I would advise to stear clear of those as one hotel guest was badly ripped off by one seller.
My main complaint is that alot of kurbs are vey high and akward with a buggy

There are 2 snack bars over the road from the Mare Nostrum and a gorilla funfair although this was open intermittently due to some strange reason- the gorilla park has some exciting rides with typical lax Spanish health and safety laws, nothing deadly but you would never see something like that in England without ride operators and the usual British red tape- my son loved it although at 2 euros a ride it got expensive quickly.
On the beach opposite the hotel is a smashing little beach bar, we went nearly everyday for a sangria (8 euros) and to unwind after a trip or dinner highly recommended, next to that is a bull bar where you can ride a mechanical bull, there are also various restaurants/ cafes down this area following the beach both ways.
Figuerettes was about a 10 min walk away and has a nice beach and some ok places to eat and a little promenade to walk along, this area is predominantly a gay area although everyone is chilled out and theres no atmosphere or anything and its perfectly friendly place. Be aware though that there is slightly higher crime here as there’s a lot of residential homes, one lady from our hotel got mugged and lost her purse (2 ladies walking at night is a soft target keep your wits about you and you should have no worries)
Ibiza town
You can get the bus for 1.10 euro (taxi about 7 euros) or catch a boat from the jetty outside the hotel. During the day its hard to see what all the fuss is about, yes dalt villa is worth a hike up for the views and eating places, but I kept getting the feeling that we had missed something. Come again at night and its another world, stalls all over, pavement cafes, crowds of people watching the parades from the clubs, well worth doing for a nights fun.
Playa den bossa
having been here 2 years in a row we didn’t spend as much time in playa as we had done it all last year, theres plenty of things to do for children and adults and is well served to cater for everyone, theres a little fair with stalls and dodgems etc games parks for the kids, bars for the grown ups. After about 12 oclock it becomes busy with the disco brigade and gets clubbier the further towards the airport you go.
San Antonio
Taxi from Ibiza town to san an was about 17.00 euros, this town gets a lot of bad press from Ibiza uncovered but is actually very nice, little market stalls and winding streets dotted with bars, whilst on the harbour front pavement cafes serve the mainly British holiday makers, main reason for coming here was to get a boat to calla conta, unfortunately due to bad sea weather we had to go to calla bassa, again a lovely beach served by a few restaurants well worth a visit, some good snorkelling here.
Visted café Mambo and watched Pete tong do his set then watched the sun go down with all the clubbers whilst our little one snorkled in the sea.
Santa Eulria
Taxi was about 17 euros again, modern grid like town with a nice promenade and marina, had one of the best sangrias ever at a café next but one to the fountain on the prom (10 euros for champagne sangria prolly best one I had all holiday and we tried a lot!!) its possible to catch lots of water taxis to various other parts of the island from here.
Formentera
We did this as part of a Tompsons trip “island hopper” in a glass bottom boat, interesting guide took us all round the island by bus after the short 45mins boat trip some great sights and then a few hours on the beach at es pugles (spelling) beautiful clear water and fine sand, was told formentera was expensive but wasn’t stupid prices that we feared, ate in a beach restaurant and sampled the sangria- not bad (11 euros) got stung by jelly fish. Worth a trip good day out
Es cana Hippy market
After aborting one mission due to standing at the wrong jetty (it’s the one in figuerettes not playa!) we boarded the “Captin Hook” for the rough journey to Escana, the crew were great fun, the captain has a parrot and brings it down for photos (no charge) then proceed to get you drunk from one of those pouring glass things on the way back. The hippy market we were told was full of tat but was actually quite good I had a expensive giant paella which was delicious. There are hundred of stalls and street entertainers, we had a walk to the beach at Escana which was ok, very small resort though, bet its quiet on a night.
Thompson Highlights
We did a few of the Thompson organised trips and found them all to be good, , the trip to formentera as mentioned above. the Mardi gras- we paid for the upgrade which was unlimited cocktail all night good show food pretty good. Lazy day cruise- my favourite one, trip round the south of the island with a guide, dinner at a small beach restaurant, then a cruise to Es vedra, followed by champagne diving.
Water park
Tickets were one euro cheaper off the reps and you got to queue jump- shame there wasn’t one when we went, park is pretty good, usual collection of slides and rides, its possible to get a stamp out so you can go and have your dinner somewhere else in playa then come back,

Fantastic beach, clean resort, and fantastic entertainment whatever the hour, with a variety of activities and excursions within the resort for all ages makes this resort one i would definatley love to go back to.

Stayed in Playa D'en Bossa, the resort was very clean and the beach was excellent with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. There was also a banana boat and jet-skis.
Don't know much about the resort entertainment in the evening as the hotel entertainment was brilliant.

The resort again is only small but dont be put off by that a ibiza town is only a small ride away in taxi or bus and it is fabulous place to see and experience. There is a few nightclubs in playa den bossa which are all very good. After midnight it livens up and the clubs open but before that there are bars for you to relax in. Beach was nice in the area of our hotel not many watersports, but if thats what you like a short walk and you would find some. Playa den bossa is a nice place.

i have visited Playa Den Bossa before, it's a lovely resort, not to lively but not too quiet either, its for people of all ages. Space was only 5 minutes down the road from us, as was the water park 'Aguamar'. The beach was gorgeous, we went there for 6 days out of the 7 days we were on holiday, they charge for sunbeds (2/3 euros for a day) but we put towels on our lilo's to lay on, and it was fine! the sea is very clean.

The streets, cafes, bars all very clean. There were childrens trampolines across the road and waterpark 5 minutes walk away.Beware you will be charged for you sunbeds extra in the waterpark and my girls never used them all day.Grassy area can be found at the back of the park.
Old Ibiza Town is great at night but alittle more expensive to eat in.We made are own way to the hippy market and saved alot of money on the rep trips and came home when we liked.Great fun but over rated. The "mardi gra" show is a good night out but expensive for a family. The sea is warm and the beach was not to crowded but alot of cigg ends to be found.Overall we had a nice holiday but once was enough but remember one mans meat is another mans poison
