I like it. Most rooms have a sea view, the higher you go the better itd be. Youll have to walk uphill. As youd expect. Its worth it.

Rooms that are pool facing. All the restaurants we tried were very good.
There aren’t any water parks in the resort apart from the one in the large hotel for hotel guests.

Great clean child friendly beaches. Soft sand, crystal clear waters no seaweed debris or jelly fish couldnt fault it. Very quiet as a resort we loved it but if u have children over 12/13 they will be bored to death even with a hotel with entertainment they will be limited.
Please note pushchair access to the whole of Portinax particularly the beach is a nightmare steps steps and more steps no ramps so if u have walking difficulties or are a wheelchair user DO NOT attempt to visit this resort

I was at Presidente above beach, and had hill on way back, but beach was excellent. There was something for everyone, and it was a nice peaceful holiday that's what I wanted and got.
Made trips to Paces for night life.

From the hotel you will find two beaches at the bottom of the hill ,which we really enjoyed spending time on. Whilst there we bought snorkling masks and had a go at looking at all the fish which swim around you in the clear blue water, As you can tell we loved it.
There is also another beach further round the cost not too far approx 20 min walk which is also nice.
We would definately like to go back again!

The resort is a nice, although very small one. There is one set of shops and a couple of bars around the corner in the next bay. If you want shopping and nightlife don't come to Portinatx!
The beach was fine, a bit of litter around, but only the usual. I would visit this resort again but would probably stay around the corner in the next bay in an apartment next time.

Not a lot to do in Portinax - a few bars and restaurants. Very quiet, peaceful, relaxing resort. We hired a car before we went so sometimes visited other resorts. I would go back to the resort for a quiet holiday for adults only!

Small but plenty of nice shops, both beaches nice, can follow signs if you like walking.

Portinatx is quite a hilly area - lots of uphill walking and steps to climb, but this should not pose a problem if your fitness is generally ok. The main square offers a good selection of shops and bars to keep you occupied. 'Delboys' in particular is a great place to catch up on what is happening in the UK/the rest of the world. There are large TV screens to keep you amused whilst the kids play snooker. The staff at Delboys cannot be faulted - they all speak English if your Spanish is a little rusty, and are all very helpful. The menu is basically English - lots of cooked breakfasts - but great for fussy kids who wont eat anything but chips and toast.
The gift shops all sell the same kinds of things, but there are some lovely little 'authentic' gifts to be found if you take the time to browse properly.
I have to say that we do not recommend the 'Real Restaurant' as a good place to eat. The service was diabolical. Although there were three waiters it took them 10mins to take our drinks order, and another 10 to bring them over and even then it was wrong! It then took another 10min wait for them to take our food order, and another 20min wait for our food. The cheese omlette came out stone cold and rock hard and was inedible, and the chips that came with every meal were cold and swimming in grease. A complete failure on their part to provide a decent meal, and I certainly would not go there again.
The beach was an adequate size and provided plenty of reclining sun loungers to use. However, the sand was littered with cigarette butts and pine needles and made it difficult for kids to make sandcastles and play properly. The water was lovely and clear and safe to swim in, and there were pedaloes to hire if you wanted to go out further in the water.
There is a glass bottom boat which makes a trip around the bay which I would highly recommend. It costs 7.50 euros per adult and half that for children. The scenery is beautiful, and the fish which collect around the sides of the boat waiting to be fed are just gorgeous. I recommend you take a loaf of bread with you on this trip as the fish will love it!
There is also a bus which goes from the main square to Ibiza town every hour, and for a larger selection of shops and boutiques I would suggest you go there. The bus trip is about 5 euros return.

On the transfer coach from the airport we were pleasantly surprised of the views of Portinatx. Situated at the top of the island of Ibiza the area was very green and provided a lovely setting for a chilled out holiday.
The beaches were lovely and the sea was beautiful. The sea was excellent for snorkelling and was warm like a bath! Unfortunately it was disappointing to see large amounts of fag butts on the beach.
The resport entertainment was fairly low key, with a handful of bars and restaurants, Del Boy's and Vincents Bars provided a top setting for the two England games we managed to watch whilst we were there.
During our stay we visited Evissa (Ibiza town) on the local bus which was great fun (especially stood up round the windy roads!) but was very cheap. It was well worth a day out especially to the old town. We also enjoyed a trip on the glass bottom boat which sails round the bay. It was slightly choppy when we sailed and nearly brought back our breakfast!, but we got to feed the fish and see the local shipwreck! Get yourself on it!
We also hired out mountain bikes from the hotel (for free)for an hour or so (my bum still hurts from the seat!) which was great fun but be warned - the hills are bigger than what you think and the gears and brakes are the opposite way round!
We also wanted to have a go on the mini train but didn't get chance. The trips offered on the train lasted on average about 3-4 hours at a cost of about £7.50.
I would definitley recommend Portinatx to family and friends but would not visit the report again only because we like visiting new places each year.

Portinatx is a very pretty place with many small beaches. They were ok when we went there but i would imagine they get overcrowded in high season.
Shops were a bit of a let down, mainly aimed at tourist souvenirs.
Do take an excursion to the 'hippy market' it was absolutely brilliant and a great place to buy clothes, bags, purses.
In all a very pretty resort but many hills and not suitable for those with mobility problems.
