I like it. Most rooms have a sea view, the higher you go the better itd be. Youll have to walk uphill. As youd expect. Its worth it.

Rooms that are pool facing. All the restaurants we tried were very good.
There aren’t any water parks in the resort apart from the one in the large hotel for hotel guests.

Beaches

The three beaches in the area are nice and safe especially for children but do tend to have a lot of seaweed floating about, the resort is small with a few bars and restaurants scattered about. Its a nice quiet area if you wish to rest and chill out but also within easy access of Ibiza Town or Santa Eulalia as there is a regular bus service to these resorts.

Portinatx is a really clean, safe resort with beautiful scenery.
We had 2 young teenagers with us and because the resort is so small it was fine for them to go off on their own as we could always find them.
Restaurants bog standard, no haute cuisine or traditional stuff. Lovely bar called Bar Zuma on the beach that plays chill out music and serves lovely cocktails but drinks in the resort as a whole not cheap. Not much entertainment apart from Delboys and Vincents-Delboys English pub which shows football and Vincents opens at 8pm and has singers/drag/quizzes etc.
All places in resort seemed to serve alchohol to underage drinkers. Resort is a bit out of the way but there are buses to Ibiza Town which is lovely with trendy shops and Santa Eulalia which is a nice resort.
Got taxis a couple of times in the evening but these are really expensive and the drive back in the dark with no lights on the winding road can be a bit of a white knuckle drive especially when the driver is texting at the same time!
Might come back but would probably stay at a different resort and get bus to Portinatx for the day.

When in Portinax there is the unmistakable smell of sewerage and it seems that this is a standard problem as it was no different to my last visit.
"Cardiac hill" nah its a great way to burn off your Presidente puddings. There is only so much sitting you can do.
Would love to have tried the glass bottom boat but didn't have the time. Pedalos were enjoyable. Gift shops were reasonably priced.
Car hire was efficient but perhaps the clerk could be a bit more cheerful. It was interesting to see someone being miserable in 5 different languages (including body).

Portinax is a very small resort - not complaining just that if you want loads of bars and music, go to San Antonio! The entertainment at the Presidente finished at about 11, 11:30 each night and then the area was very quiet. We were HB at the hotel so didn't eat out but there seemed to be some nice places to eat by the beach. Note - when you go down the hill from the Presidente, turn left along the path when you get to the first beach. There's another much quieter beach around the corner.
Apparently there's a mini railway that runs from Portinax. We saw the signs (Thomas the Tank Engine!)but never saw the train. It's a 4 hour trip, so be warned! There were some nice bars and a few shops. The beaches are great, sandy, shallow water, the price of beds was a bit steep - EUR12 for 2 beds and a parasaol. We ended up just taking towels since there was plenty of space. A really good family resort.

Portinatx is a quite family resort and to be honest that is what we were looking for.
If you want loads of bars and hundreds of shops then stay away this reort is not for you.
The resort is lovely and clean with just a scattering of bars and restaurants. Kareoke in Vincents Bar was great and Del Boys is good also.
Boozy Buys is the place for cheap tobacco and cheap alcohol.

nice cove, pretty with nice sand, pity about all the cigarette stubs though. safe to swim, feed the fishes bread, very entertaining for all. Nothing for teenagers, only a few small bars with football televisions, although to be fair del boys does try and cater for everyone. the small beach just around the bend is quieter, standard sun beds, buy yourself a lilo, far more comfortable and only cost 2.5 euros Bargain...

there are only a few small shops inthis place and as i can normally spend on a desert island it was hard to spend money here as no choice we spend time in a bar called del boys which was ok the family run place was a hAven from the hotel we were at. there are next to no trips you can easily organise. ibiza town had shops but were mainly designer and as most people isaw were built for comfort not speed including me not a great deal to buy .the beach was nice although a worrying thing was the life guard i spoke to didnt speak english the resrt is a predominate brits abroad place

Portinatx is a very small quiet place with a few shops, restaurants and bars, as expected. The beaches are quite clean with a clear shallow sea ideal for families of all ages. There are about three car hire firms in Portinatx so you do have some choice. We toured the island by car clocking up 800 km, so we saw most of the island. We even visited a few other hotels that we had been considering for our holiday. We felt we had made a good choice in going to Hotel Presidente at Portinatx

The resort is tidy & picturesque, no riff-raff to make a mess.
This resort is very quiet, with only a couple of bars that are open late. Vincents Bar & Del Boys are the main two bars. Del Boys is open all day & is great for catching up with football matches & results etc (Sky Sports in this bar).
The main beach is fantastic, very safe waters to bathe in. The sunbed & parasol hire is pricey ar 4 euros each. We made the mistake only once of paying this price. The next time we bought a parasol from a gift shop for 8 euros & used that for the remainder of the holiday at the waters edge on the beach, perfect.
All in all what more could a family ask for, a great hotel, beautiful safe beaches & a peaceful resort with no hint of trouble. It looks like we're heading back next summer to a gorgeous resort & a fantastic hotel. Well done Portinatx & well done Presidente!!!
