I like it. Most rooms have a sea view, the higher you go the better itd be. Youll have to walk uphill. As youd expect. Its worth it.

Rooms that are pool facing. All the restaurants we tried were very good. There aren’t any water parks in the resort apart from the one in the large hotel for hotel guests.

The actual resort of Portinatx is absolutely stunning - its a beautiful bay. I'm sure that if my knee wasnt as bad as it is, I would have derived great pleasure from taking walks around the bay - not that there are many places nearby that you can walk to though, it is a very small resort. The smallest that I have ever been to.

If you are looking for mad nightlife, you can forget it here. Its a quiet resort. The mega plus side of visiting this resort is that i felt completely safe there. If i were ever to holiday alone, I would go to Portinax.

The beach was glorious and I loved the couple of swims that I had in the sea. The only thing that put me off going in the sea was the amount of jelly fish in it! I didnt fancy being stung so i mostly stuck to the hotel pool!

Portinax is ideal for healthy fit families - personally I wouldnt take a toddler in a pram or buggy there and i certainly wouldnt take anyone who required a wheelchair due to the steepness of the hills.

All in all, Portinax is a beautliful place to visit.

The resort is really pretty with very safe bathing and a lovely beach. Quite a few local bars all of which were of a good standard. Not a lot to do but we did have a fiesta weekend with dancing and fireworks which did add a bit of life. Downside of the weekend was an all night Ibiza party until 6.30 am in the morning - I think they played the same track all night (can you tell I do not like club music and thought I was avoiding that going to a quiet resort of Portinax and not San Antonio). Three nice little bays in total with pleasant walks to each.

A very pretty resort which is clean with only a few bars and shops, not aimed at people wanting the club scene but ideal for families with young children wanting a relaxing holiday.

Portinatx is small, quiet and very clean. It contains afew bars and places to eat with entertainment. We went to the pub called Del Boys to a pub quiz one evening and really enjoyed it. Vincent's bar and Del Boys offer food and entertainment, from singers, kareoke to drag artistes. As fitting with the size of the resort the beach is small but is cleaned on a daily basis. The resort has shops, mini crazy golf and trips out to sea on glass bottom boats, pedaloes and banana boat experiences! There is also a hippy market of a decent size held every sunday evening just a short walk from the hotel. The one downside to the resort are the freelance photographers ready to take your photo time after time, but fortunately do leave you alone without too much persuading.
We would be happy to come back to this resort again in the future.

Portinatx is amazing. It's not too quiet but you wouldn't find loud bars and clubs waking you through the night.
The beaches are beautiful, there's one big one and two smaller ones, all of them you will find have fish and other sea life.
One of the smaller ones is right down at the other end away from most hotels and restaurants, it's near a german hotel. It's quite nice, you can do scuba diving there and the Carlos the guy that run the sunbeds, beach bar and a night bar is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet!
It's very easy to rent a car there aswell and you could probably drive around the whole island in one day easily, I would hire a car for 3 days max. you could drive around everywhere and spend time in some towns that are interesting.
If you head to the west of the island you get some beautiful sunsets.
Portinatx also had an all night rave one the main beach, it happens once a year, it was the best night I've ever had, everyone is welcome, plenty drinks and you meet so many cool people, locals and tourists. The festival also has loads of competitions for young and old, swimming, mr and miss portinatx, waiter race etc. etc. It's really fun to watch and easy to get involved in! I was there from almost the start of july so it may happen around then.
Definitely my best holiday ever.

Portinax is a small resort, all gift shops sell the same things, some shop owners a little watchful, but most very friendly. Buses out the area are limited and expect to be standing for the journey back as the buses get crowded, due to irregular returning times.

Food and drink is good and cheap in the resort. The beaches are small but nice and clean and the water is warm with plenty of fish, and some nice rocky areas. Not a place I would return to, due to lack of amenities and things to do both at the hotel and the resort.

We visited this hotel after recommendation from friends who had been there. My partner and myself had a great time, food was great, entertainment was brilliant, loved the reps with what they did with the kids before the main show-they called it chuckle time.Great entertainment from the reps in the evening, enjoyed princess laura's singing-she should be making records. Adam was extremely funny, hotel was lovely and reccommend it.The whole area was lovely and we would return in the future.

The sea was crystal clear and though abit cool it was fantastic,When out of the apartment we tended to go to the smaller of the 2 Beaches to our left, (S'Arenal Petit) which has the best bars on. Zulu Lounge a great chill out bar which serves wicked cocktails and the views are great looking over the bay, La Ciguena which is fantastic, the owner works in the bar and stays open till the very early hours (Last Man Standing) prices are great 4 large shorts and mixers for fourteen euros !!! . La Ciguena also has the best restaurant in Portinatx the food is brill especially the Shoulder of Lamb Ive never seen anything like it theres so much couldn't eat it all. Must admit they served the best Sangria as well.
The resort is quite small not very many bars only one English bar being Del-boys serve a nice breakfast if you want to eat English, their evening meals are really good def gotta to try the mustard sauce makes my mouth water thinking of it. Bev Brian and Mark and the rest of the staff make everyone feel welcome, Marks a bit of a clown making everyone laugh, if anyone goes there you've gotta play boozy bingo. Theres another bar called Vincents which has some good entertainment and is where Elvis lives now got the pictures to prove it. They play some not to bad music, but come 1.00pm it tends to become a bar for the locals who use it to pull anything, in fact if anyone reads this from Nottingham theres a club call Obsessions its just like that (if it breaths then its willing as my fiancée found out in the ladies toilet 1 night when she saw a local guy and girl coming out the cubicle very sheepishly). Overall i would recommend any bar/restaurant in Portinatx apart from The Don Quijote we had spent most of one of our afternoons sat outside this bar having beers and a few jugs of very nice sangria, every-time we ordered we were served tapas at no charge, the service was faultless from the young lady who waited on us, so we decided that we would go back the same evening for a meal to say thank you for the service given that afternoon, and my did we make a mistake the place was fairly quiet 6 or so locals watching the uefa cup final, we sat down at a table ask for the menu and ordered another jug of sangria some bread and Alioli bread and olives and looked through the menu we all decided on the mixed grill then an English woman came out of the back which was a surprise as we thought it was a ibicean bar any way she ask us how we would like the mixed grill we told her then off she went, we could hear the meat being cooked 10minutes later the first plate came out for my brother in-law he cut in to his meat and ate some i said i thought you ordered your steak medium he nodded but his steak was actually blue then 1 by 1 the rest came out my fiancée cut into her chicken and ate alittle then she noticed that it wasn't cooked the English woman came out the back and asked if there was anything wrong we told her and she took all 4 plates back to re-cook the food but it still wasn't cooked properly we asked for the bill not wanting to cause a fuss and was willing to pay for the food and the drink in full, the English woman was talking to the locals and laughing at what it seemed to be us, the young lady that served us during the day was still there and she appeared to be very embarrassed at what had happened and apologized, we paid for just the drinks and left the young lady a good tip for the service during the day, the following day we were all ill for most of the day. We would not recommend that anyone eats at the Don Quijote or if they do at there own risk.
We all really enjoyed our time in Portinatx and intend on going back next year on our own again, we are going to San Antonio Bay in October with the children and will visit with them as well.

the resort of portinax is beautiful and the sunset is amazing, the resort is very clean and while we were there the beach was cleaned the slight down side is the amount of seeweed that is washed up and on the odd day you may experience jelly fish in the water.the resort has a glass bottom boat that runs 3 times a day and there is also a mini golf which children love.
