Location
The room was excellent, very spacious and had everything needed for a self catering holiday.
The Rosamar is a well maintained aparthotel which was spotlessly clean. The staff throughout the hotel worked very hard and were always very cheery. We usually bought breakfast in the dining/bar area which was very good.
There was a large size pool with plenty of loungers. However, weather was not too great the week we were there with only a couple of really sunny days and a couple of days rain.
The rosamar is a good 45 minute walk around to San An. However the water taxis and bus service were very cheap and reliable.
We particularly enjoyed going over to Cafe Mambo for a few drinks and a plate of Nachos to watch the sunset, the atmosphere there was terrific. The cafes around the fountains in San An are also very good.
Places which we really enjoyed eating in were Smuggler Inn (across road from Rosamar) and Libertys (about half way between Rosamar and San An).
Took a bus to Ibiza town. Very enjoyable evening having a look around the stalls in the harbour and the shops. Very good bus service to and from San An which only took about 25 minutes.
Took the tourist train for the 2 hour trip. It was good value and nice to see abit of Ibiza other than San Antonio. Be prepared that the train driver is mad and full of corny jokes!!
All in all had a fantastic time and hope to return to Ibiza. Next time would probably stay nearer San An as most of our evenings were spend around the sunset cafes.

What a lovely clean hotel and fully equipped ,it was well maintained throughout and the pool was cleaned and checked regularly.
The food was lovely too we had breakfast there most mornings - and the staff were really pleasant. We thought it was an ideal location,no noise and in easy reach of all the shops and bars. The entertainment was basic but still enjoyable.
Loved the hotel so much, we are going again next year.

Before getting to Ibiza I was a little worried regarding certain things about the hotel but once I arrived I was thrilled.
The rooms were so clean and cleaners came everyday. Hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating, we had a little problem with our door one day and it was fixed when we returned back.
Even though we were self catering we still ate at the hotel a few times and it was very pleasant. Although there were no kids amongst our group we still enjoyed the entertainment whilst we getting ready to go out to the clubs. Special mention to Jos

Hotel is located quite far round in San Antonio Bay but you can get the boat/bus/taxi over to town easily.
I love Ibiza and will be back soon and would have no problems with staying at Rosamar again.

Sheets on the sofa bed were filthy and the sofa bed itself was broken. When I complained, we had to wait 2 days before they could swap the sofa bed with one from another room. They gave us another smaller apartment in the meantime, but this meant I had to be seperated from my 2 sons at night. This was far from ideal

Hotel seemed very fantastic, bearing in mind that this is a bargain basement hotel as far as price goes, it really is a very good hotel I would put it three / four star and is as good as the posh hotels we have stayed in elsewhere for 3 times the price.
The location is not bad, good view across the bay if you get a higher floor and if you walk out of the hotel and to the left on the main road you soon hit the pubs , restaurants and shops etc. Unfortunately Ibiza is not the nicest place in the world but for a bit of sun at the end of the summer its superb. And at the price you pay for this hotel, you just cant moan.

Thomson Kids club excellent as was mini disco each evening for kids, but can't remember anything on offer for adults.
Hotel has zero noise tolerance after midnight. Not true. Can be very noisy so take ear plugs.
Our room had a view of car park and Mardi Gras which is next door, so again noisey on occasion.
That's all the bad stuff. The rosamar is really friendly and laid back. The reps and reception staff were really helpful and friendly. The rosamar is a good walk from most bars in San An Bay, and a taxi or ferry across to San An Town, but we thought that to be a good thing. Pinet beach, 400 metres from hotel is excellent, Strand beach not so good.
Best meal we had was in the West End at Jamels Bistro. It's a gem of a place hidden between the big bars.
Don't book car hire through the reps at the hotel. They use Betacar, and you can find betadeals elsewhere.

Pool area was great
Not happy that the place was closing down as we were staying there. Bar was being cleared, and tables and chairs removed from around pool - very unsatisfactory

The Rosamar is only about 3 years old and is lovely and clean, with a lovely marble entrance and lobby which overlooks the pool and the bar area.
The rooms are large and spacious but with little rooom to store the suitcases, and not enough wardrobe space for a family of four. Beds we found comfortable, but the sheets were a little rough. We had a view of the carpark and the mardi gras, although this didn't disturb us. we did have a glimmer of a seaview. the cooking area isn't the best I have seen, although we didn't actually cook there
the only complaint really as that our toaster was broken and they didn't replace it.
The staff at the rosamar were fantastic, helpful, excellent english and always available, top marks to them.
the rosamar's location is very central along the san antonio bay, if you are looking for quick and easy access to the west end then this hotel is probably not for you, but if you are looking for somewhere central in the bay with close access to bars and restaurants then the rosamar is ideal, we walked loads whilst we were there and there were plenty of places to visit.
We recommend the restaurant opposite the bowling alley further along the bay as it has an outdoor charcoal grill and has excellent steaks.
We didn't stay for any of the Rosamar's entertainment, but it looked ok.
We would recommend the Rosamar to families and couples, and we would certainly go there again.
