Do yourselves a favour and never use this hotel. Returned yesterday and it could not come quick enough. So many negatives regarding this place. Raised so many issues with hotel and every one of them was brushed aside. Booked a premium room with bunks beds for 2 adults & 2 kids aged 9 & 10. Room was just about big enough for 2 never mind 4. Balcony was so small even that was a tight squeeze for 2 and the smell from the sewers coming through the toilet was disgusting even though we where on the 9th floor(top). Use the shower and you’ll find the toilet floor swimming with with water as the water flooded out underneath the shower screen. As an all inclusive hotel drinks where a plenty but there was no policy that we saw that monitors excessive alcohol consumption. With so many kids around I thought the hotel would stop serving alcohol to anyone who obviously had 3 too many but this wasn’t the case. Even during the day the amount of drunk people staggering about was ridiculous and at night this was 100 times worse. For a complex advertising as great for families I would advise against taking young kids to this place unless they are used to loud aggressive drunk behaviour. Plenty of free activities for the kids to do however with so many kids looking to take part there is limited availability and even then it is far too busy for the kids to be able to be fully entertained for the full activity. For example there was a carnival day where kids could play carnival stall games such as ‘throwing darts to pop balloons to win tickets to redeem for popcorn and sweets or throwing beanbags into targets along with another few games’ but with so many kids taking part it took about 45 minutes stood in a line before it was their go. Then there’s paid activities within the complex which are run by outside agencies such as swan pedallos & electric boats in the lake, trampolines, electric cars to name but a few. All of which are €6 a go. Even though your in an all inclusive hotel be prepared for some major expense. Just having 2 kids with you wanting a go in all I’ve mentioned would cost you €48. I know it’s optional but I certainly wouldn’t like to keep telling the kids “NO” especially on holiday. Entertainment at night was average to say the least. Food is plentiful and more than edible but quite repetitive with the same things on menu but just cooked in a different way. But the icing on the cake for us came a week into our stay. We returned to the room after a day by the extremely overcrowded pool to find one of our iPads badly damaged. (Screen smashed so badly you could see the inside) The only person to have access to our was the maid. She obviously dropped it panicked and got out of there quick as the room was obviously not finished as beds weren’t changed, no fresh towels and she left her master keycard in the room. I spoke to reception who told us to speak to customer services who are only there from 9am till 6pm. Next morning we spoke to them and told them about what we found. They asked how many kids we had and implied it could have been 1 of them. When we told them they weren’t in the room all day they said we would have to wait until they could speak to the maid who surprisingly wasn’t back for 2 days, the same day as we where due to leave. They did however check the cctv in corridor and also the lock reading to see who did or did not go into the room that day. Upon checking they confirmed what we had already told them. We asked to speak to hotel manger and where told they would need to speak to maid first. 2 days later on our departure day we spoke them again. We where told that the maid said she lifted up the iPad from the top bunkbed and had opened it and it was already smashed and put it back down again. Apparently she did this just in case it was broken and she got the blame. Seriously? We told them there was no way the iPad was on the top bunkbed as it was sitting on the small dressing table. Why would she even open up someone else’s belonging in the first place. There where 4 iPads in the room and that was the only iPad she looked at. Never heard so much ridiculous comments. The kids certainly didn’t put it there as they have their own iPads. After telling them this the maid then changed her story to “ it must have been someone else’s room where the iPad was on the top bunk. So now we have the maid telling 2 different accounts of the events that day. We then asked what they are planning to do to cover the cost of the iPad repair only to be told they will do nothing. We where classed as liars and they believed the maid who had changed her story to suit the inconsistencies in her 1st version of events. We once again asked to speak to hotel manager but once again we where denied this. They said they would not let us see me manager for something like this. Approx £200 worth of damage that they would not compensate and still after numerous requests to speak to manger they constantly said no. Things did get heated and they said they would call the police. We told them to do ahead and we could speak to the police regarding the obvious criminal damage. Then they said if we wanted to speak to the police we would need to go ourselves to police station. Something we could not do as we where due to leave to come home. In the end they told us they would not be doing anything regarding this issue and told us to contact our travel company when we got home. They where even reluctant to give us their names and the name of the maid. Eventually after an hour of heated discussion they gave us their names, but not their full names. Although the 2 customer service managers spoke perfect English, numerous times during our discussions the spoke to each other in Spanish. I even still have the maids master keycard for the room as the customer service manger handed it back to me when I showed it to him. I could easily on the first day speaking to them have gained entry to every room in that complex. So there’s another thing in a very overcrowded complex. Security is not high on their list of priorities. If you stay there and have any issues of damages you can forget about getting it resolved. All they will do is close ranks and tell you to take it up with your travel company. Do yourselves a favour and stay well clear of this place.

We have just returned here after 2 weeks away with the kids. OK, it is not the highest standards of luxury but one of the things that you want when you go away is to ensure that the kids have a good time, are occupied, fed and happy. This hotel does all of that in abundance and there are also plenty of other children to ensure that they have a great time with plenty of water and sun to boot.
The hotel room was nice, the bed was comfortable it had all the basic necessities and we did not have any complaints from the room that we chose. With regards the food, it is after all Spain and it is catered for children as well as adults so the food was nice but not what you would expect in the Carribean. Again, the children were all happy so we could not have asked for much more.
The staff were great. Everyone helped as much as they good and the staff at reception were very good. Pool was always well attended and you felt safe. Again, that is that you want from a holiday with the children.
The flights with Thomas Cook and the transfers were all good and there were no issues or things to report. The weather was great and we went into Alcudia a few days and the place was brilliant. The beach was always clean and we also had 3 or 4 meals out that were nice. We went all inclusive in the hotel and that was great for the children.
We travelled as a family and loved every minute of it!

Have visited this hotel before and thought that it was absolutely brilliant back then. A really good all round all inclusive that covered everything.
This year just did not meet the high expectations that we once again expected. Food and drink were nothing special, entertainment was mainly pathetic with only a couple of decent shows ie Parrot show and Gaga tribute. I can fully understand entertaining the little ones but other age groups and adults are on holiday aswell and the mini-disco seemed to go on forever each and every night. Day-time entertainment was really good with plenty going on all over the site if you wanted to join in.
The staff in all departments were great with the entertainment staff shining with endless energy and effort.
The bug bear of the complex was the sheer levels of noise and total ignorance of some fellow guests. I know it's a family complex but it's just wild at times and I now totally understand the Jeremy Kyle show type references from other reviews I have read. The excuse that it's a big family complex so expected does not really sit comfortably with me either as it used to be a lovely relaxing place.
You are described everywhere as being a snob if you dare to mention that you actually did not think the place was totally amazing. Just go with an open mind and if you manage to avoid the chavs you will probably have a great time.
You will love it, hate it or be somewhere in between. I am the latter thinking it's okay but not really worth the money anymore and not somewhere I would recommend again either.

Hotel very clean and there were always cleaners about night and day. The food was spot on and the theme nights were every night. The people saying there was only pizza and chips, weren’t staying in club mac.
The location was ok, could have been better though. The staff were very friendly especially at the bars always polite. The entertainment was top notch no disrespect but they were proper tribute acts not the reps filling in.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again 1 but I stayed out of season I think 6 weeks schools holidays would be manic here.

A very large group of us went to this hotel for my 50th birthday, 33 in total! We stayed for 1 week all inclusive, the hotel was lovely and clean, however the swimming pool and bar areas were littered with peoples cigarette ends and ash, there was not one ashtray to be found. (There were the bins dotted around where you could extinguish your cigarettes) but it left the children having to walk on this stuff by the pools! That would be my only complaint about this hotel, oh apart from the floors in the reception and dining areas, they are extremely slippy when its wet, a few in our group slipped over, take great care!
The food was ok, warm and with a different selection in different areas, the swimming pools were lovely with a lot of sunbathing areas. The entertainment was ok I suppose, this hotel would be very suitable for families with small children, there were a few small ones in our group, but I have 3 teenage daughters and they were quiet bored, the hotel staff were very nice always willing to help with any queries you may have.
All the rooms had 2 double beds in them which was rather odd as the balconies are very small, no way would you fit 4 people sitting out on it, you were squashed with just 2! There is a free bus that runs just outside the main entrance that takes you down to the beach every 20 mins, the beach was fantastic, overall it was a lovely holiday, however I wouldn’t go back as like I said it is geared toward families with younger children. Have fun, stay safe and watch those slippy floors!

This must be the best family holiday we have had! The hotel has 7 swimming pools and its own waterpark (make sure you get the waterpark included in your package). The rooms were great, the entertainment was fantastic and the food was to die for. I do not understand anyone having a bad word for this hotel as it offers what it says. We will be back in 2012.

Food was good drinks are very weak. This hotel is overrun by kids day and night with most of the parents not giving a damn about them. Ggot woke up 12 out of the 14 nights with adults and kids shouting down the corridors at all hours we were told when the three hotels are full they hold 7000 people. Must say all the first choice kids reps are fantastic and they need a medal for putting up with what they do (many thanks to the first choice reps for giving my daughter a fantastic time).

I always use Holiday Truths when choosing a hotel but have never left a review until now - I felt compelled to do so after visiting Club Mac Alcudia as I am simply stunned that it has received such positive reviews previously. If you like; tiny rooms with an even tinier balcony, woodchip, dirty toilets, endless queues for anything & everything, eating unidentifiable food at plastic tables, poorly mixed drinks in tiny plastic cups (and heaven forbid you should expect a glass of rose or a cocktail...), constant noise night & day, staff who are uninterested at best and rude at worst and entertainment staff who simply crumble and give up at the sight of rain then the Club Mac hotel will be perfect for you. I have never been so glad to leave any hotel in my life.

This complex is just too big. The service is very impersonal due to the amount of guests. The rooms are typical for this rating of hotels but the public areas are maintained to the highest standard, amazing when you see the amount of rubbish people walk away from after a couple of hours at the pool.
Sadly we stayed during a week with the worst weather in Majorcan history and this complex has no contingency for poor weather. The animation team is possibly the laziest I have ever seen, 2 songs around the pool and no interaction with the children.
The location is not very good a good 15 to 20 walk to the beach, they do lay on a bus (1 bus) once an hour. Very poor when there is nearly 3000 people staying at the Hotel.
