Resort was very nice plenty of places to dine, nice harbour, lots of small beaches ideal for snorkelling but not enough places with live entertainment after your evening meal. Hire a car we went all over, roads are good, signs are good..................

A very clean, family orientated resort. With the usual gift shops. As we stayed AI we did not look for places to eat but I think there were about 6.
Cala D'or is about 5 minutes away in a taxi(never any problem getting one.) It costs 5.50 euros each way.
I would highly recommend this resort to families with young children who want a relaxing holiday.

Although only a small resort we felt there was enough variety of bars etc. The bars were well run with friendly staff.

The marina and town itself were lovely - the town was quite a hike though. The beach was lovely - about a 10 minute walk to the cove of Es Forti.
Resort entertainment - only bars and restaurants, plenty of them though.
The only reason I wouldn't visit the resort again was because there was not a lot to do around the immediate area

The resort its self was very quite which is great for families, the entertainment is fun packed for all ages.
The nearest beach is about 10-15mins walk from the hotel with steep banks, not recomended for people with walking difficulties.
The beach its self is very clean. On entering the hotel it is very clean and so are the rooms which are cleaned every other day.
We would definitly return to the Puerto de Sol again.

Everywhere looked very clean with only a small amout of litter on the outskirts of the resort which you notice as you walk from the hotel to the marina.
We didn't go out much for entertainment in the evening as the hotel was very relaxing, which is what we wnated from our holiday.
What we did see when we strolled out in the eveing looked good as there was a wide varied choice of bars and cafes to choose from and an excellent choice of supermarkets, gift and leather shops.
An excellent resort to find reasonable priced handbags etc.

The resort is clean and has wide variety of bars and restaurants serving everything from tapas through Chinese, Indian, pizzas, steaks and even English breakfasts!
The beaches are quite narrow and are not very big but we didn't have any problems finding a space. They're clean and there is a a good selection of takeaway food and drink available.

This report is about Cala Egos, which is on the outskirts of Cala D'or.
It is a small resort but has a village main street which boasts a supermarket, several souvenir and clothes shops and the usual bars and restaurants.
There is a slightly larger supermarket tucked off the main street.
The beach/cove at Cala Egos is idyllic. It is a gently shelving beach and you walk out a fair way before being out of depth. It is a narrow and long beach with rocks either side. It was safe to swim in and the water was clean and clear once you were off the (crowded) shore line.
We spent more time in the sea than in the hotel pools because of this.
You can rent sunbeds on the beach but we didn't bother as we bought mats and a parasol for very little in the local shops.

I found Cala D'or really clean and tidy and there was plenty going on for people of all ages, the beaches were clean and the water was really clear - perfect for snorkeling or just a swim. We will be returning again and again.

Cala D'or was a perfect combination of dining and places to go for a drink. There are a few clubs, of which we tried a few, and everyone was veyr friendly and it felt very safe. You are spoilt for choice on restaurants, all offering you free sangria if you choose to eat with them. We made friends with a restaurant owner and he took us out to some spanish bars along with his english girlfriend, all the spanish we're very friendly and all spoke perfect english, although it was nice to see some spanish culture as there are a lot of english bars. The food is very good whereever you go, but they do vary a lot in prices so make sure you check the menu's before you enter. We especially enjoyed the Es Caliu restaurant where we sampled lovely Tapas and the Taste of Texas restaurant, where you receive free sangria! The Upstairs Bar was filled with spanish locals, so go there is you want something Spanish! The Cavern Club had a good nightlife for a younger crowd.
