The resort of Cala d'or is about 1km away from this hotel but the village of Cala Egos is very pretty and quiet. There isn't much to do if you want a lively holiday. The place itself is quite clean. We were in need of some R & R and this was the place for that. The only downside was there is no seafront or promenade as such, to walk along after dinner. However, we compromised and strolled along the terrace and back looking at the beautiful view of the sea and listening to the crickets (cicadas)that live in the trees but are very rarely seen and are harmless. Take my word for it, I am a very 'picky' person and won't put up with anything sub-standard. This place passed all my criterias with flying colours.
Cala D'or is probably the nicest place we have ever been (in fact we'll be visiting again this year for the 3rd time)
The resort is very relaxing place to stay although it may be too quiet for some. There are more restaurants than you could possibly visit even during a 2 week stay and many nice bars in which to have an evening drink.
The beaches although small are all beautiful and always spotlessly clean.
The Marina provides even more bars and restaurants and a very relaxing place to have a stroll (and wish you could have one of the boats)
