The weekend prior to our holiday we looked on this website and were really worried about our booking. We needn't have been. We have had a fantastic holiday - simply the best! You get out of this holiday what you put in. The hotel was basic but clean. The food was plentiful and varied - something for everybody - even picky eaters. The local shops were plentiful and only two minutes away - perfumes and ciggies cheaper than airport. Hotel staff were friendly and courteous. Entertainment was brilliant - again something for all. If you want to sit in a corner and have a quiet holiday - this is not the hotel for you. Thanks to all the lovely people we met for making our holiday so special - hi to: Paul & Michelle, Rufus & Sharon, Kevin, Michael,Paul & Karen, Ricky & Caroline, Neil & Tracey, David & David 2, Wayne & Jane, James & Hannah, Ralph, Manu, Fernando,Hyna, Kevin, John, George, Richard & Sue, Lucas, Tobias, Dave and anybody else who knew Abi & Philippa.

We had a fantastic holiday, the hotel was clean and tidy, bit disappointed with our room very small not really big enough for a family of four, we were unfortunate that we got the small room as there are bigger rooms.

We found the food very nice, there could of been a bit more choice for kids, but then again our kids are very picky. We found the majority of staff were very kind and helpful. The entertainment through the day and evening was fantastic for children and adults couldn't of asked for more.

The only complaint we would have about the hotel is that the rooms could of had air conditioning, but you can't have everything can you?

We met some fantastic people who made our holiday for us big hello to Paul, Michelle, Ricky, Caroline, Paul, Karen, Rufus, Kevin, Michael, Wayne, Jane, David, David2 ,Aby ,Pippa, James, Hannah and all our German friends, and anybody else that we met.

We booked our holiday through Travel City Direct several months before hand on an Allocated on Arrival basis, The brochure didn't have this hotel in it.

First impressions were fine and after reading some of the reviews since we got back it seems to have improved. Most things were ok although I was not impressed by the entertainment.

A fan or air conditioning would have improved our holiday as it was unbearable most nights with the heat.

Food was repetative but the drink was fine.

The resort was small and quiet, most bars were not very busy as most of the accomodation was All Inclusive.

The best part was a nice view of the Med and a nice breeze.

Although I wouldn't return to this hotel it was fine for what we paid. I prefer a bigger resort with more to do. I must mention the Irish bar, although not very busy we had a few good nights there and the staff were very friendly.

The worst part was the transfer back to the airport when our driver got lost and we nearly missed our flight.

I have just returned from 2 wks all inclusive at the Samoa Hotel with my Wife and two Grandaughters.

The Hotel is absolutely immaculate.

The food is superb.

The entertainment is different and suits all ages, you could find yourself being involved in many of the acts.

The staff, specifically the entertainment staff couldnt do enough to help us enjoy one of the best holidays we have ever had.It is not a holiday to "sit around"

The majority of people were families, very friendly and we made a lot of new friends.

The Hotel Samoa is an excellent place to enjoy your holidays, trust me I tell the truth.

We had a excellent time at the Hotel. The Hotel is immaculate and the entertainment was great. We met a lot of nice families and the kids had a wonderful time. Our only complaint is that the food was terrible. They never opened the snack bar (said it was not busy enough, although the pool side was very busy) and served what they called snacks in the Restaurant. This meant the snacks were not served all day as it stated in the holiday brochure and what they did serve was not snack food but food let over from lunch or dinner (sometimes they just fried it and served it as a different dish). We spent a lot of money eating out at night as there was nothing available to suit the family and were disappointed as we had paid for all inclusive. The Hotel itself was great and most of the staff were very nice. We would only consider re-visiting this Hotel if they really made an effort to improve on their food. Beware people travelling with young children the kids club is for 4-12 years old and not 2-12 years old as stated and the bouncy castle only goes up for half an hour each day (very misleading in brochure).

Hotel Samoa, Callas De Mallorca

We visited the Samoa in June 2003, our third all inclusive holiday and by far the best. Hotel cleanliness was nothing to complain about, the food was good, you maybe come across the same thing again, but done in a different way. The location of the hotel was great, no traffic to worry about with having the kids, the shops were just right opposite. Hotel staff could not have been any friendlier and the entertainment was absolutely fantastic, something for everyone.

Hotel

Reception-Very Nice and Welcoming

Rooms - Shabby with NO air-conditioning

Hallways - Ripped cheap carpet with cigarette burns

Public toilets - continually flooded at night,
no-one seemed to care

Reception staff - quite friendly

Bar Staff - neither friendly nor unfriendly

Restaurant staff - downright rude and cleared plates
away while you were still eating!
Didn't seem to give a monkeys

Large Pool - Ok but not cleaned very often

Childs pool - Ok but briken tiles on bottom
and children alweays cutting feet

Food - Terrible, the worst we've had

Entertainment - we loved it, but it went on too late

Break Ins - Many, especially on ground floor under
hotel

Illness - Lots had sickness bug while we were there

Resort - Hilly and Isolated but has a fairground
and a small handful of giftshops and
restaurants

we stayed in this hotel september 2002, on arrival impressed with the hotel, resort quiet & basic not very good for the for the less mobile due to lots of steps down to the beech. also the hotel had no lifts to the lower part of the hotel and to get to the resturant you had to go down about 20 steps not very good when you got a buggy and a child. food was dreadful we were disappointed as we payed for all inclusive but had to eat out 75% of the holiday, (and we were not the only people who had complaints about the food). entertainment was very good kept all the kids entertained even the adults, my partner took part in alot of the games and on the night time if you won you got a certificate. overall we made the best of a bad situation but will not be going back to this hotel or resort again.

We went to the hotel samoa in july 2002, it took us 1 hr from the palma airport! as we arrived at the hotel it was very nice inside, the rooms were nice. The food wasn't that nice depending on what you like! But the entertainment provided was great at night and during the day with the different sports provided. The staff was friendly and was there to help you whenever. There was alot for children to do, with shops and bars being across the road from the hotel. Id definatley recomend the hotel to people.
