The resort itself is lovely. The beach gets crowded but there are always sunbeds and parasols available. The sea is very safe and beautifully clean and clear. I only spotted one jellyfish the week we were there. There are a very good variety of shops in the small square, which we only found by chance. They can be easily missed if you dont walk far enough up the road. Lots of souvenier and gift shops and plenty of bars. Very nice to stroll around in the evenings. There are quite a few steps to the beach so not really recommended for people with walking problems but the beach really is quite lovely.

I have marked down entertainment only for the reason that the RockCola has stoped live acts(I beleive a new venue is opening soon)all bars have t.v.showing sport.

The crazy golf in the center is a good laugh.

Beach beds/parasol 14euros per day but beach is very clean and safe.

A lovely small resort with enough shops for a short walk round. there is also a small train/tractor for a trip around the full resort lasting 30mins. Did not check out the entertainment as were all inclusive. paid one visit to the beach as its steep steps to get there and had a buggy with us very small but beautiful and the sea can be very choppy. plenty for kids crazy golf and a entertainment area with ball pit and small karts.

Stayed at Callas De Mallorca.

Would have been better if either they had built the airport closer to this resort or vice-versa. Still it is a very nice resort and we would visit again.

We were near to two of the beaches, one was at the bottom of a lot of steps (could not be bothered to count them)we did some snorkeling at this and it had a lovely sandy beach and the sea was real blue. The other one was a larger beach and also sandy with the same very blue sea.

Both beaches had umberellas and beds for hire. The shops were very good and there were a small number of bars and a larger number of cafe's and restaurants. I will also mention the local police, a chap from Scotland had his pocket picked during a shopping trip with his wife.

After he had reported it to the hotel staff two police units turned up a spent a lot of time with the victim and seemed to be really concerned about the incident. Crime can happen anywhere but it does make one feel a little better if the police are wlling to do their best to clamp down on it.

I think that the local police seemed very profesional and dealt very well with the situation.

Usual gift shops & mini markets in a small shopping area
which also featured a few bars and restaurants. There is a kareoke bar which is ok and a night club(Tiffanys) which is open till the last person leaves !which my teenage son took full advantage of. For those smokers (me included) you can only buy cigarettes now from a tobacconist, which there is 1 of, which i believe is due to new legislation introduced in 2004.non of the supermarkets can sell them _even though they advertise tobacco! tobbaconist closed sunday till 6pm and a bit pricier than i expected - 36 euros for 200 L&B, silk cut etc,, but cheaper than the so called duty free at Majorca airport which are 38.5 euros

Beach was good, with shallow waters, and very clean, you have to negotiate some steep steps to get to the beach

The resort is quiet with a few bars and shops, but adequate for a family holiday.

Very small resort with limited facilities. Not suitable for families with teenagers. Could see the beech as very tiny down some steep steps.

Calas de mallorca..Is a quiet resort on the south-east sid e of the island..We arrived mid may and it was scorching for a few days it was above 90 degrees..The area has plenty of restraunts and many shops so you wont be short of things to do..There is a couple of lovely cove beaches and porto colom is only a few miles down the road also with a beautiful beach with many boat trips..Cant comment on the buses as we hired a car and that is probably the best thing to do if your visiting this side of the island as i understand that there is only one bus a day into Felintx the next town..The resort is kept clean but as with all majorca..Mind the dog poo..Calas de mallorca is a lovely part of majorca but i would say this part of the island is more geared up especially for tourists and families..I would return to this part of the island again as it doesn't have the full on party attitude of Magaluf and palma nova..and this makes for a more relaxed holiday if you prefer that kind of thing..Also a quick mention on the weather which was lovely every day we were out here and on a few days reached over 90 degrees and this was mid-may..
