Callas de Mallorca is situated on the east coast so is not as busy as other parts of the island, It is a very small resort but has everything you would want, the cafe's and restaurants were very reasonable a typical meal in a good quality restaurant comes to about £30.00 for two people.
The beach is one of the jewels in the crown of this resort it's only small but super clean and is attended by a lifeguard and beach supervisor in charge of the sunbeds.
The sunbeds are 10 euro's a day for two people but on the week we were there we were happy to pay this charge as the shade from the palm type umbrella was very welcome.
The beach has it's own snack bar with reasonable prices though toilet facilities were limited to say the least.
Though from our hotel it was quite a walk and it is not a beach for those with limited mobility as the steps can be awkward at best.

Alway always always someone sweeping up!. No lager louts or noisy bars. Clean Clean Clean. Plenty of places to suit all taste , and although we visited off season there was still something to catch your eye! The beach was stunning, choppy on days but the lifeguard on hand superb at keeping in line!.

The resort was a fairly small tourist area. Without the tourists there would be nothing there.
The local buses were inexpensive but only really served other tourist resorts on that side of the island e.g. there was only one bus per weekday to places such as Palma, Alcudia and Porto Pollensa.
This is an extremely hilly area and, although there were several places where bikes could be hired, I would not relish the thought of cycling up the hills to get out of the place. I would recommend car hire if you want to travel around the island.
The caves of Drach near Porto Cristo are a big tourist attraction. I went and would not recommend it. They are quite expensive for what you get. There were about 2000 visitors when I went and this was low season. Although the 'tour' is advertized as lasting about an hour in reality you actually get about 15 minutes due to the number of other people on the same tour.
There is a commentary but the guide is at the front of the group so unless you are one of the nearest 15 or so people to the guide you do not benefit from the commentary as you cannot hear what is being said.

The area needs some money spent on it compared to other resorts on the island it seems to have been forgotten. The street lights stopped working towards the end of our week.
There are bars with football that sort of thing but we were there on AI so didn.t use them.
The beach is quite small but there are sun beds and umberells and a snack bar also there is a lifeguard who is very strict.

Nice, compact resort with not far to walk to anywhere. Pleasant bars and eating places. Some of people in the Hotel Samoa ate out most of the time.

this resort was beautiful with fantastic views and was very clean although the disabled would struggle with the uneven pavements and steep slopes that had supposedly been built for them. there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants although little nightlife (clubs) all in all a quiet place.

The resort is very small, I would not recommend going here in the middle of October like we did as every day something else closed down. At least 3 bars closed down the week we was there (14th October), 1 hotel had already closed down before we got there.
Beaches are small but nice & clean , plenty of boat trips to go on or buses to take you around.

I can't help thinking Callas de Majorca was built in the wrong place, the beach is too small and was fairly crowded even in September; I guess it's even busier in July/August. The beach wasn't as clean as it might have been with cigarette ends and the remains of berbecues(?) at the waterline. Quite a strong current, though the sea is shallow quite as long way out.
Shopping centre is fairly small, but there are all the usual facilities.
Definitely not the place to go if you're looking for a lively holiday, and if we'd gone for longer than a week we'd have had to travel further afield I think.
Probaly wouldn't go there again by choice, but only because there are other resorts we haven't been to, if you see what I mean....

Canarios Park Hotel is in a remote area at least 2 miles from any other life. There is a mini train service, but this is not free as stated in the brochure. The beach is approximately 40 minutes walk away and the small quiet town about the same. There is minimum night life and this resort is not for young people who want clubs or pubs as it is more geared up to bingo-playing, karaoke-singing older people who want 'lights out' at 12. I would most definitely not visit this resort again.

This is a purpose-built resort like a small holiday village. It was very clean and tidy. There were plenty of gift shops, a few bars and cafes but it lacked any atmosphere. It had no charecter or history.
We never had a night out in the town as our hotel was too far away, but it seemed like a hotel complex.
The beaches were narrow and quite crowded for the time of year. They were clean and the sea was nice.
The resort had exchange facilities, excursion agents, supermarkets, booze outlets and one tobbaconist (and two mini golf areas) so it wasnt all that bad.
