Been to many all inclusives in Spain all much the same so you know what you are getting, Reception staff was very helpful, plenty of sun loungers by the pool, not much of a wait for drinks when all areas was open, limited to 2 drinks per person after 11pm which is ok by me.

Food was good we found something we liked every day and there was never a wait for a table.Got addicted to the ice slushes to cool us down.

Entertainment guys worked hard but could have done with some external shows that other hotels do, nice strolling distance to the bars and shops and the long sandy beach, bus stop outside.

Room was big compared to others, we was on the 1st floor so never had to use the lifts, all in all a great holidaygreat place would go back

We stayed here on an all inclusive basis and everyone was complainig about the food when we arrived and we have to say it was difficult to find any decent food at meal times. There was plenty but, none of it was very nice. I have stayed in many much better all inclusives than this one.
The hotel is about five mins to centre of resort and the same to the beach so is ideally placed. The staff are fine and all were pleasant.
The entertainment team also run the kids club which they do very well but, the evening entertainment leaves a lot to be desired.
The hotel is clean and towels and linen are changed often. Having said that we did have cockroaches in our rooms. They arranged for the rooms to be sprayed but, they still came back.
I would not stay at this hotel again.

Our first impressions of the hotel was a good one having being a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews. Food was really nice and plenty of choice though the breakfast wasn't as good as the sausages were never really cooked. My kids who can be quite fussy ate almost everything. The maid service was good she changed sheets and towels regularly but could of cleaned the floors better. The hotel rooms are really small but you dont spend much time in there anyway. The location is really good for the resort centre and beach which is only 5-10 mins walk. You can get a bus at the bottom of the road to alcudia etc or get on the can picafort express to see all of the resort. Hotel staff were good but could do with smiling and being a bit more friendly, I think its nice to have a bit of banter with bar staff but you wont get that here. Entertainment staff do work hard as they speak and entertain 4 or 5 different nationalities but their shows could be a bit better. The mini disco is good and you find yourself singing along to the songs after a few days (we even bought the cd). This hotel overall is good and for the money you pay I cant see why anyone would really complain.

Rooms were very small and not ones shown in brochure. Clean towels and room cleaned daily. No air conditioning, room was stifling ceiling fan only circulated the warm air. British were a small minority at this International Hotel. The queues at night at the bar was murder.Sometimes you had to wait 20 minutes.Food was poor quality, have had better food at other 3 star hotels. Not much choice for kids in restauraunt. No toasters either at breakfast only brick hard pretoasted bread.Hotel very clean and did manage to get a sunlounger every day. Hotel staff very helpfull.Cant say we would go back though . Lucky if you had 5 drinks a night due to the queues.

firstly we went in mid may so we were concerned about the weather. the temperatures reached around 28 degrees most days and we only had 1 day of rain . there was only a ceiling fan in our room which was suffient for the time of year but i dont think it would be enough in peak season. the pool areas were great. good sizes and nice and clean. my daughter had a go at scuba diving in the pool whilst we were there and she loved it. the hotel itself was clean although we didnt actually see an awful lot of maids around. the hotel at any time. entertainment was much the same as any other hotel weve stayed in although there wasnt any water polo, whether this was due to the pools being so cold, i dont know and believe me the pools were freezing, although this didnt bother my teenage girls. we found the staff were all very friendly, particulary the reception staff, and they all spoke good english. we found some of the bar staff were a bit picky and would serve 4 or 5 drinks at a time to some people but would only let others have 2 at a time and would make you que up again which was a bit of a pain when theres a few of you in a family. the only down side was the food. every meal was the same, sooooo boring. any one who had young children i thimk would find it hard to find something to eat. you could get burgers, pizza, chips, salad, fish, hotdogs and pasta from the snack bar , but if you go to the restaurant of a lunchtime you will still get burgers and pasta.
the food is the only reason we would not go back to this hotel again. otherwise we had good time.

Me and my daughter travelled for 1 week AI to this hotel. Overall the hotel was very nice,it was an international hotel that I was not aware of. I booked the holiday independantly and overall was glad that I didnt pay alot for the holiday. The hotel was very clean and the maids cleaned everyday, even if you put the do not disturb sign on your door. The walls are very thin in the rooms and it became a pain listeneing to everyone going to bed in the early hours, we were on the 2nd floor which was good as the lifts broke whilst we were there. The entertainment staff worked really hard and pout on a watchable show everynight. My little girl wasnt keen on the kiddies club and only went once. The pools were very nice but it was a battle to get a sunbed, although there was grassy areas for you to use. The major annoyance of the week was the queuing for a drink at the bar. They really do need more bar staff. Overall the holiday was ok but I would not return.

Stayed here on all inclusive basis, for 11 nights with our family of 8 adults and 3 children.Arrived around 11am and they had been a mix up with the rooms,we required 4 but had only been allocated 3,but was soon sorted out.We had 4 rooms on the fifth floor, only one lift to this floor, and very small only held 5 persons.the hotel itself was clean, with cleaners constanly cleaning all day, rooms cleaned every day and towels changed regulary, lola very friendly and lovely to the children.Hotel food typical for a three star, some days better than others but didnt starve.the biggest problem was there were plenty of tables but they were always full of dirty plates, very slow at clearing tables and if you sat at a table that needed clearing, you got told off for not waiting. The staff in the dining room very ignorant and unfriendly, never smiled or greeted you and had no time for any holiday makers.Bar staff not much better but they did allow you to get a few drinks at a time up until 11pm,although the queues were rediculous, having to wait to get served for upto 15mins at a time. The outside grill was great for the kids and the chef was friendly which was a nice change, this was open 12pm-5pm.No food anywhere in the hotel after 9pm,found this strange compaired to other all-inclusives we have stayed in,can usually get a snack up until 11pm but not here,so if you go for a early dinner and you are hungry after 9pm ,TOUGH, you wont get nothing unless you go out.Hotel has 3 pools with plenty of room, but still have to get towels out at 6am because of the germans taking all the sunbeds.Entertainment team great, tried to get everyone involved and constantly had something going on most of the day for the adults and the kids.Mini disco every night at 8-30 followed by bingo, shows not too bad, some better than others, the guys and girls worked hard, from morning till night and never complained.Very friendly bunch who got to know your names and could have a laugh with.Hotel location was approx 5 min walk to beach and small town with plenty of shops and bars, went quite a lot to LONDON PUB where staff there very friendly (ALEX AND STACEY),great with the kids too, stays open till 2am and will serve food till 1-30am.... Overall not a bad holiday but wouldnt stay at club tonga again due to the unfriendly staff and problems with dining room.

Got back yesterday 05/08 and we were so pleased to be home after 2 weeks here. We have been all inclusive a number of times and not wanted to leave but we were all pleased when the taxi collected us yesterday!

Accomadation is basic but you don't spend so much time in there anyway, clean towels daily and bedding changed a few times during our stay. Information says the hotel was refurbished in 2001 but with 14 floors of rooms seeing thousands of guests each week, 6 years is too long and it does need doing again! There is a fan on the ceiling which gives a little cool air out but most nights we slept with the doors open to allow the room to be cool enough. When you check in reception mention nothing about a safe which can be hired they give you your key tell you which floor its on and away you go. 4 lifts 3 of which serve floors 6 to 14 and one doing floor 1 to 4, we walked up the steps most times as the lifts are very slow & hot.

Pool areas are nice not a chance of a sunbed unless your up early, although lots of grassed areas for you to lay your towel and to be honest the one day we did get a sunbed we then gave it up to sit on the floor which was more comfortable. Because of the trees the pools do end up with a fair amount of bits in them but they are cleaned each evening

The food choice is very repetetive, yes there is variety each night but it seems to go on a 3/4 day cycle so you would know what you were getting from one day to the next. We do know a lot of people were eating out rather than eat in the restaurant. Breakfast is similar each day with good variety with the only real changes being do they have croissants/cake or biscuits, lots of bread rolls always available but often these were very hard as were the french sticks. The restaurant staff rarely smile and are not the fastest workers I have ever seen tables are often left messy with people hanging around waiting for them to be cleared so they can eat. We didn't eat lunch n the restaurant but from "snack Tonga" which is run by the most miserable arrogant bloke I have ever seen, he sneers, he comments, he ignores and it wasn't just us we watched him do it to loads of people, yes he is very busy but a smile costs nothing.

The bar staff work their backsides off but there is still usually always a queue although we were allowed 4 drinks each (children 2) again there is not a lot of smiling going on although Patricia is lovely and always found time to smile and say "your welcome" One thing we wern't keen on is during the day plastic glasses are used but on an evening these become glass and we saw loads of breakages happen and they don't always rush to clean it up ....lots of people walking in these areas the following days with bare feet cuts must happen and plastic all the time would be better .....bigger plastic cups too pleae!

Entertainment: the team work really hard to keep people amused during the day with loads going on rifle sooting volleyball darts water polo football tennis table tennis etc. They have a "cocktail game" at 12-30 each day to win a Tshirt and these are really easy "silly games for anyone over the age of 13 and due to the variety and ease of most of them anyone can win. The team all speak around 5/6 languages and easily change between them sometimes you find it hard to hear your bit though due to how quick they speak. The same team do the shows on an evening (no visiting shows during the 2 weeks we were there) and work really hard but some of the shows are just plain boring and not at all funny Please avoid "sketch show" on monday week one becuase its painful although our foreign friends seemed to think it was funny ...perhaps I just have a different sense of humour. Dance shows were ok but this was dancing and miming to a cd Moulin rouge, blues brothers, grease night, saturday night fever.
Bingo is played most evenings ran by the leader of the ents team (Jarl) and he loves the sound of his own voice the 1st time you hear the "script" its funny after a few nights of this you really want him to vary what he says! He says the numbers in 6 languages and only lets ladies win as he likes to give them 3 kisses (5 kisses is 1) At the end of the evening shows he also always says"so did you like the show " and following the applause he adds "I do not let my animacion team work for 45/55/65% only 100%" and gets everyone to cheer louder, sometimes it felt like he was bullying the audience into clapping.

In conclusion we had a nice holiday not a brilliant one and we are glad to be home, we would go to Can picafort/majorca again but not to The club Tonga Hotel.
