The entertainers are great they get everyone involved in all the games and if you dont want to you can just watch the great shows they do, alot of work goes into each show, brilliant.
We made many friends who we see each year back at the Tonga and who we will hopefully see again.

As for the entainment it is the worst I have ever seen the bingo caller [think about Matt Lucas as the hypnotist] this guy only allows females on his stage if they win bingo his favourite number is 69 if you don't like the show you are forced to applaud or he gets very very angry the guy is very unprofessional. The other guy looks like {Phil Cool] and constantly annoys you round the pool to play cocktail games which is for children.
This hotel is a hell hole and never go during English holidays as your holiday will be ruined.

Rooms~ on the smaller side, would have been too small if the children had been with us. All the rooms have just had new furniture but they haven't replaced the curtains, light fittings or bed throws (Which seems a little oddd!!) Bathrooms had 3/4 bath with shower over, vanity sink, large mirror and loo. Fully tiled and very clean. NO full length mirror in the room
Food ~ plenty of choice salads, veg etc but most of the meat was a bit ropey ~ didn't expect much more having paid

The rooms all have en-suite and a suitable balcony, with the size of the hotel, don't go on the balcony if you suffer from Vertigo. (Lovely views)
My Wife and 2 children stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.
The beds are ok, and the maids cleaned the room daily, they do speak limited English, but hey I speak limited Spanish, so we spent the whole week between blank expressions and laughter, as we both tried to communicate.
The food was out of this world, you could say I'm easy to please but honestly, we all ate something different each night and filled ourselves up. The choices may repeat themselves over a fortnight but we didn't care, it was good to go in the restuarant and choose what we wanted.
The bar staff work their backsides off and do so with a relative attentiveness daily, there was one guy behind the bar whom seemed a bit stroppy or resentful but after a few days he was ok.
The entertainment team................. absolutely hilarious, they keep on going and going, all with smiles on their faces and never faltering. The bingo caller is hilarious, he calls it in the style of a German porn star. If you can imagine that and entertains everyone by lying about his age and stating that the number 69 is his favourite, guess what he calls it every night.... he only allows lady winners and makes sure they walk off stage after he has given them 3 long kisses............. a true entertainer, whom I thought was great. The rest of the team is followed up by Alex a very muscular Russian guy who can speak loads of different languages and the rest of the team of young women and a Belgium lad, whom all had the same motivation to entertain the guests and make sure you all had the same chances to join in.
My wife and I and the kids really did enjoy ourselves and have been both worried and disheartened by the reviews given...... I can imagine that in high season it may have been slightly different, but we encountered nothing negative. All I do is smile at the Germans, Dutch, French, Swiss, Spanish and fellow English and I found that you either receive funny looks or you would be greeted by Halo, Guten Arben, or whatever.
A decent Hotel which has worked hard to meet the concerns raised by the other previous patrons and actually resolve issues as I have noticed during my stay.
I would go again to the resort, but I'm going to give All inclusive the miss next time, sorry Club Tonga.

You cant get the lifts the food is not varied enough you have to wait for your drinks for up to 10mins. The entertainers work very hard to please everyone but that is the only plus at this hotel.
When you go to eat be prepared to clear your own table.

The hotel is huge, 14 or 15 floors - 4 lifts in total.
3 lifts that went to the top missing out floors 1-5 & 1 lift for floors 1-5.
To be honest thank god we were on the 4th floor and could walk it! Poor beggars that were above had to endure large queues and frequent break downs.
It has to be said that we had forgot how bloody rude Europeans can be, Germans, French, Italians, Spanish and even some of the Brits - I suppose it was probably just a case of dog eat dog!
Parasols are not provided, there is some shaded areas in and amongst the trees, however they are not as easily moved as parasols - I'm sure you get my meaning!
Oh yeah, don't forget to get up in the middle of the night for the sunbeds as past 6 or 7 am forget it, your on the concrete pal!
The Hotel staff are polite and do their best, the bars are obviously popular and again queues are large but reasonably quick.
The 'All Inclusive' is very much subject to restrictions e.g. Ice creams only between 12 & 1700.
The mini snack grill was only in operation again between 12 & 1700 and the quality was poor, the burgers had those boingy bits in, y'know grissle stuff.
The main resturant serves very typical 'All inclusive' type of foods and there is variety, however it does become repetative.
The entertainers are all different nationalities (No english ) and provided reasonable entertainment for the very young and adults.
It has to be said that the Hotel is very family orientated - Would not suit people who want a child free Holiay.
I think personally the hotel carries too large a capacity to cope with the ammenities, hence most of its problem areas.
It is very strange from some of the previous comments that some people are frequent visitors, returning year on year - personally I would not return here again, although everyones tastes are different.

Rooms clean but very small. We were in a room with a prefix s three beds and a camp bed very cramped, so we spent very little time in the room at all. Just to sleep and change. Shower cubicle you can not turn around in it.
The food was very basic and repetitive some edible and some not. The restaurant was chaos. There should be someone on the door directing you to clean tables. Very busy no tables cleared you have to stand and wait as they are clearing up. There is no organisation no queues everyone just pushes in. The outside grills were very basic, burgers and sausage with gristle, the staff on these two areas are quite unpleasant.
Hotel location was fine.
The bar staff and entertainment staff were polite. The reception staff were not so polite. The queues for the bar are very busy on a night time, you only get half pints all the time and at 11pm you are down to two drinks per person in plastic cups.
The pools were cleared several times on our two week stay for one reason or another , what looked liked vomit in the pool was explained by staff as the cement from the sides and the next time it was from the pine trees??. There is a terrible smell of raw sewerage around this pool for most of the day every day not pleasant at all in fact sometimes unbearable. There are no parasols in this hotel, if you want a sunbed by the pool don't sleep after 6.30am.
The hotel has 15 floors we were on the eight floor no good waiting for a lift to come down it is quicker to walk as they don't stop. Don't queue for the lift on the ground floor no one else does, if you can manage to catch one.
The entertainment was pretty poor and some of it unsuitable for children, although the children enjoyed some of it. The children's show of oliver twist was very good. There needs to be more daytime activities for the children, the adult daytime entertainment was ok. All the entertainment team work very hard all day, but the shows are somewhat out of date. Could do with a couple of live shows during the week. The parrot show for the children was terrible.
British are well out numbered at this hotel. We will not be returning to this hotel and can't understand why people would go back year after year. There were more complaints I'm sure but can't list them all.

As a chef I was reasonably impressed with the food. We have a child who is fussy & he loved the snack bars by the pool. They serve the norm hot dogs, burgers, pizza & chips but also do grilled fish & BBQ meats with lovely crispy salad. The main restaurant was good & very busy but we never failed to get a table.
The hotel was kept very clean in both rooms & public areas. The bar staff are civil enough, by the way, adults can get 4 drinks up to 11.00, they won't tell you this though. Drinks fine, slush & ice cream available all day.
Entertainment? Rubbish, they have their own entertainment team who put on basic shows for 1 hour a night, they then go through this exaggerated "DID YOU LIKE THE SHOW" outline in 6 languages for ten minutes to get applause. At 11 it stops and they put on go to bed music, supposed to be disco.
I complained & had three of them confront me. Nobody knew the music & nobody danced, entertainment basically from 9.30 - 10.30 and to get a table you have to be there by 8.
Pity about the entertainment as we had a great time over & above that.
Would go back but with A/C it would be much more welcoming, kids (15, 12 & 10) loved it.

The hotel rooms were cleaned every day and clean towels were provided everyday.
The food was very good, better than any other all inclusive holiday I've been on before. The restaurant was busy but always got a clean table.
The hotel was in a quite resort but plenty of good things to do.
The bars were very busy on a night and sometimes we had to Que for 10mins, but the staff dealt with this very well and were very polite and friendly especially Carlos and Tony.
The entertainment was brilliant, then team could not have done any better if they tried. All entertainers spoke English and all other languages very clear and fluent. During the day they were loads to do for example shooting, volley ball, football, water polo and many more.
Out of us all that went, we all had a great holiday and would like to thank the entertainment team especially Mr Wimpy and Alexis and the girls from the kiddie club. We will be definitely be returning.

The food was ok but got a bit repetitive but the kids loved the grill in the day, could do with some kind of snacks at bar in the evening as once evening meal is finished nothing else is available.
The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable as we only used it to sleep.
The beach is only 10 mins from hotel over a busy road which is a nightmare as no-one lets you over, the sea is lovely but quite a few fag ends on the sand.
The entertainment at the hotel made our holiday it was fantastic they work so hard and are always happy. Jarl, Wim and Alex are great do some fab shows at nite.
The ladies {can't remember all they're names} are great with the kids and do a disco every night. Theres plenty going on during the day if you want to take part.
