Well what can i say, this was our third visit and by far the worst as far as the food was concerned. the breakfast was allways fry ups. The evening meals were either,Chicken, fish or Pork all cooked in different ways each night.the chicken was not bad but the pork was so tough I could not cut it and when I did manage to cut it,it still had blood in it. If you are a vegi type person then this hotel is for you, you will be in paradise. The sweet bar was brilliant, ice cream, baked apples, baked pineapples etc.

we have just returned back from a lovely holiday at this resort, all the staff are very friendly and helpful.the bar staff are great and rember your order even thought they are busy and there is no waiting for drinks, the prices in the bar are the same as at home. The cleaners are very good. There is so much chose in the food which was good for us as i am veggie and my partner in fussy, something different every day.The beach is only a short walk away but there are plenty so sun loungers around the pool (as the weather was not so good for are stay the pool was very cold ).We had a good mix of entainment. The resort was rather quiet for us of a night time so we will not return to this hotel but we would love to take it and the staff to a different resort.

Hotel was very good and clean. The sunbed hurry was a good laugh in the morning,so if you are staying in this hotel set your alarm clocks for 7.20 at the latest.Food was excellent both Breakfast and Dinner.Entertainment was good both morning and night, with Amy and Gavin working very hard to keep us all entertained. When we left Gavin was by himself AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHH.He was a great sport.I would recomend this hotel to anybody.P.S watch out for the bed legs!!!!!!

Overall Rating: 1/10
Comments: Got conned into this looking for somewhere different for a change and had been with Thomson last year and had no complaints. We were told it was a lovely place and read some of the reviews on here with the usual mix of good stuff and bad about the hotel and resort.
1) Staff at hotel were very pleasant and helpful
2) Room very basic indeed
3) Location of hotel is awful
4) Resort of Canpicafort its self (a real mixed bag not to our taste I am afraid)
5) Thomsons tours are wallet breakingly expensive for most of the trips on offer.
6) FOOD WAS ABSOLOUTELY DISCUSSSSSTING, Pork pork and more pork, foul smelling pailla, fish in this sauce or the discusssstingly tasteless potatoes, tastless sweets. We ate from the kiddies menu for 2 nights and after that we ate out, could not stand to look at it let alone eat it anyone who thinks the food here is good then all I can say is you are not very fussy what you eat and I would hate to see what you eat at home . It was certainly not a patch on Spainish mainland holiday to Costa Blanca last year.
7) Entertainment was so so 2 really good shows out of the 2 weeks
8) Drinks in hotel expensive
9) Rooms not many with a decent view (main road oppisite a petrol station was ours)
10) Mallorca and here in perticular nothing to get ecited about.

On our last day spoke to a chap who had been moved from a Thomsons all inclusive place in middle of no where as the food there was C**P!!! and this was only slightly better at a cost of

Just come back had good hol,its great for kids, our 8 year old loved every moment. Food good but need to cater more for veggies, my only moan is the lack of sunbeds and parasols, there is only 38 of these, so every norning it was battle, they could easy add more. As temp was easy 86. They are crucial. Also lost count how many times we stubbed our toes on bed legs!

We stayed at the Haiti from the 14th to the 28 june 2008. We arrived at about 8pm just in time to get what was left for dinner, cold raw chips on the first night. The breakfast was better pork sausages(cheap ones) but better than frankfurters, all the usual stuff streaky bacon beans eggs hash browns and continental, watery juices (we bought our own from the supermarket opposite) and tea and coffee, but all was ok. Evening meals the first week were good plenty of choice always hot. We put this down not many people were there.

Second week the Scottish turned up and everything seemed to go downhill. Space in the dining room was limited and if you sat near a window it was like trying to eat in a greenhouse (very hot)and the restaurant manager would moan if you opened one. The meals were vegetable cream soup every night followed by pork or chicken or fish cooked a slightly different way each night (very monotnous).

The hotel for a 3 star was kept very clean. Maids came in the room to make beds and change towels every day and work really hard, as do the waiters and bars staff. Waiters in the dining room are a little hasty at times to clear your table and at evening meals seem only interested in selling you drinks (no free ones at meal times not even cold water)you have to pay 2 euros for a small bottle. We again bought our own from the shops around the hotel (a lot cheaper).

Hotel location is ok about a 10 minute walk to the beach and main shops. Hotel staff in general are very good but you always get one don't you?

Entertainment is very hit and miss. Mini disco is a waste of time and some of the acts they get in are very easily forgettable. A Rod Stewart inpersonator who loved himself, Elvis one was not very good but cos it was Elvis got everyone joining in (good fun) Temptatons were very good but that was about it.

If you go to this hotel and are unfortunate enough to get rain then you will be bored out your mind. The only things to do is order drinks or food (expensive) or try to get on one of the 2 video games or the one internet computer they have.

Rooms are clean but very basic no TV no tea coffee making facilities (we again took our own travel kettle) Rooms are like going back in time, shower over a bath and not much room plus a small balcony.

We probably compared it too much with the First Choice Holiday Village were we stayed last year which was a lot better.

If you want a cheap holiday then I would say yes visit this hotel but only for 1 week, 2 was too long and watch out for those bed legs!!!!ouch!!!!

Loved this hotel, very clean.
Staff polite, maids great, room always spotless.
The food was good but as a veggie found some nights a bit tough to get a reasonable plateful!
Entertainment left a lot to be desired.
Hotel was a 5 min walk to beach, but not really a problem, it was far enough away from the busier bars too.All in all a good holiday, would go back to this hotel again.

We stayed from 10th August-24th August 2007
Review written on 28th August 2007

FOOD - was well prepared and cooked but felt there was not enough choice and quite samey every night. Childrens menu also but mostly same too. Enjoyed cooked breakfast every morning. Snacks and lunch were a bit more expensive than the seafront bars.

CLEANLINESS - hotel was very clean and tidy. Maids cleaned rooms every day. Clean towels when you wanted them.

LOCATION - about 5-10 mins walk to beach (or longer with my husband as he was always stopping to take photos!) Beach nice but lots of seaweed in places. Sea was lovely and warm. Shallow for quite a long way out so good for children. Lots of choice of bars along seafront and shops. Although thought clothing was quite expensive.

STAFF - hotel staff all very polite and helpful. Reception staff very friendly. Have to hand room key in if leaving hotel, they probably got fed up with us lol! Restaurant staff always very polite and cheerful very efficient at collecting plates so there was always room on the table for seconds (well for my husband anyway!) Bar staff all friendly. Our first night there my husband forgot to take euros to bar and only had english money in his wallet. Barman David thought this was funny and joked about it each time he went to bar. Glasses collected regularly from tables. Entertainers Irene and Nick done kids club from 10-12 and 3-4. Our daughter was so busy in the pool she only went on the last few days beacuase it rained quite a lot and she wanted something to do (although she enjoyed it when she was there) Irene and Nick helped the children to put on a show for the evening (circus of talents) our daughter was a cowgirl and a can can dancer. Very well put together considering they only rehearsed for a few hours. After waterpolo the kids thought it funny to push Nick into pool then not let him out!! (Although my daughter said he is leaving this saturday so he should be safe then!) Thomsons Reps were quite friendly and helpful although as usual at the welcome meeting all they are interested in doing is selling trips. When our daughter was 5 we visited Western World water park and was told that there would be plenty of rides for her to go on but when we got there she was too small for all of them. Other families this year were mislead by the reps too.

ENTERTAINMENT - we stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and there was different entertainent on every night. Some good (Beatles/Westlife/Jacksons/Robbie Williams/Elvis tribute bands) also grease put on by Irene & Nick and 2 other entertainers. They also done show of sketches which was very funny. Some other entertainment not so good. Mini disco for the kids every night (you won't come away without having the Schnappi song in your head!) Mostly very young children doing the dancing so our daughter (11) thought she was a bit old to join in so she did sitting down dancing instead!
For the evening entertainment you need to sit in the middle row of seats otherwise you don't get a very good view as there are posts all the way through the bar and if you get a seat behind one of these you can't see anything.

Would visit again although towards the end of our holiday it rained quite a bit and there wasn't a lot to do in the hotel (bingo and a quiz was put on by entertainers) but if there was a pool table and some other things to do it would have been better.
Only other complaint was the unruly kids. Some parents forgot they had children with them and let them run riot all day and all through the evening. We are not anti-children, we have a child of our own but she knows how to behave in public and we wouldn't let her annoy other people. We are all on holiday so a bit of respect from other parents would be good!!
Swimming pool was quite big but more deep than shallow and very cold!! Which is nice when it is very sunny and hot but we weren't very lucky with the weather (very cloudy most of the time, rain and storms) so think it felt extra cold, brr!!
Sunbeds reserved every morning as soon as 8 o'clock came (our daughter said it was like the march of the cybermen) although there are plenty of notices around the hotel saying you're not allowed to do this. We didn't know until we got to the hotel that there were only British holidaymakers in it. So people are always moaning about Germans putting towels on sunbeds we found the British are just as bad!
Room was a little small, we had 3 beds in the room so getting to wardrobe was a bit difficult. But we only slept in the room so that wasn't really a problem.
All in all we enjoyed a nice holiday.
