lovely holiday. hotel was very clean and staff friendly and helpful. special mention must go to the bar staff, especially the head barman,steven,(esteban,in spanish) who was always entertaining and enthusiastic to say the least. also to carlos who has the most beautiful eyes.
the food was nice and varied and the waiters and waitresses were very helpful.
the walk to the beach was only about 10 minutes and once there, plenty of shops
the nightly entertainment was 'iffy' but enjoyable in the main. when it was'nt, there was always steven to entertain behind the bar.

Just back from 2 weeks at the Hotel. Really is as good as everyone says. Everywhere is very clean, all the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you enjoy. Kids club was good, but Bo especially)and Marie are outstanding childrens entertainers. The evening entertainment was very good apart from some French disco group, all the other nights were top class. The hotel is well situated and shops and beach nearby. Food is excellent with plenty of variety. Great Family Holiday. Only problem watch for the pool though....very deep, but the Hotel and Staff are otherwise excellent.... We are back one day and have already booked for next year.

The Haiti was better than expected. This was the first time we been on a package holiday and for the price it was excellent. The hotel was clean throughout and there was a wide choice of food at every meal. We didn't use the hotel bar much nor did we avail ourselves of the entertainment (that's why it's only got a 1). We hired a car for the week and the hotel was difficult to find. Yes I know it's on a main road, but the road signs send you a differnt way. Anyway, for those in hire cars, the hotel is on the C712 road signposted to Arta from Alcudia. Keep following the signs to Arta; ignore signs to C'an Picafort. You will see a REPSOL petrol station on the right. The hotel is opposite that.
There's a nice little bar behind the hotel; Pepe's. it's run by a local and his English wife. Very welcoming and drinks are a lot cheaper than the hotel.
One final thing. We were surprised at how many people (guests and staff) smoked. This is not a criticism, but if you are a non smoker you may be put offby the odour of smoke pervading the hotel, particularly in our room and the corrodors.

This was our second hoilday in Majorca, our first being in Alcudia five years ago. This time we tried Can Pickafort. The hotel in general was OK but just OK. We had two rooms. My heldest so 17 had a room with his school mate. Myself and my wife shared the other room with our 12 year old son. The rooms are small but the downside were the bathrooms. The cleaners(housemaids) were excellent. they are very thorough but can only work within their confinds. Basically I am not be too unkind if I say in our oppions that the bathrooms could do with gutting and a makeover as they are looking tired. The staff in the dinning hall and bar are excellent and most freindly and easy to get on with. I did however, have to remind them about full pints of John Smiths. Drinks we feel were a little on the expensive side and the food was great. Our room was directly over the enterainmenet hall 1st floor so noisey at night. The evenings entertainment was poor to say the least. For instance there was advertised a Queen tribute band so we went to look at them. Would you belive it not one Queen song was sung all night in fact it was just beatles all night. Nothing wrong with Beatles but not what was expecetd. I have read some comments about the smell of smoke and can only agree that the smoking in the hotel is heavy. There is also no control over noisey residents through the night and this awoke us on several occasions well into the early hours. This I feel is more a responsibility for the people with no consideration for others. Nice pool area with plenty of activity and the constant airconditioning was a nice thing when we were there as it was very hot late 30s early 40s. In general then not a bad hotel but we would not return after looking at others in Alcudia. This is where we will be returning to.

I must also agree with a comment I have just read about the Thompson excursions. They need to get their act together.They are far too expensive and someone must be pulling a right wedge from them. After having holidays in majorca, Tenerife and then back to Majorca we will not in future book any excursions with Thompson again. Sad really but everytime we have trouble with either tickets and or couches not turning up the reps are totally in-ept at sorting it out satisfactory and can only blame each other in their abscence. To be quite frank do not care. Our oppinion and perception.

I have reported these matters to Thompson direct but expect nothing to come of it.We will book a Thompson holiday again but we will shy away from their excursions big style.

The best choice of food we have ever come accross on a Half Board Holiday.
Everywhere was clean. Rooms very basic but high standard of cleanliness.
Bo and Marie should be given a pay rise, they work really hard to ensure everyone has a good time.
Entertanment great (except the French band one night, don't call us...we'll call you!)
Really nice pool, excellent place for children.

Half board basis....<b>food is EXCELLENT! </b> Breakfasts have all you ever need ranging from bacon, sausages, eggs, hash browns, scrambled and hard boiled eggs..cereals, toast, tea/coffee.
Dinners are also varied with lots of main course choices varying fro peppered steaks, paella, pork, fish, salads, chips, saute potatoes..really is plentiful and the deserts are superb..even has a cheese board too:)
<u> Waiters/waitresses </u> were friends and efficient and we never once felt rushed.
<u>Cleanliness </u> was unfaultable with the rooms cleaned daily. Pool is immaculate with enough sunbeds to go around.
Hotel staff were very friendly and worked hard.
I must praise the <u>reps</u> in the hotel. I have never seen any reps work as they did. The kids club was fabulous and the reps were non stop entertaining the kids both inside the kids clubs times and outside with a nightly kids disco in the main hotel. Bo and Marie..you were stars!
Entertainment was nightly and was above the standard I expected - no need to leave the hotel even.
Lifts x 2 but were very small.

Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone and would definately return there again!

The Haiti hotel was first class in all departments,great food excellent staff,no waiting at the bar,the bar manager was the star of the place,also the reps,a special thanks to bo the rep well done my kids loved you.all the best from sunderland england,jaky & anth & family.

Hotel rooms were cleaned everyday.Food was excellent. Location was ideal for a short walk to the beach.There were two small lifts in the Hotel and they were frequently breaking down but as we were on the first floor we could carry the childrens buggies down. However, people on the seventh floor may have had difficulty. Overall an excellent family Hotel.

We stopped at the Hotel Hiati with my wife and 4 year old daughter

Transfers from the Airport(what a size) were excellent.

Hotel was clean in that there were clean sheets/towels everyday and floors etc were always clean but our room was not the best as it smelled strongly of cigarett smoke. The suspended ceiling in the bathroom was all rusty along the metal bits and the tiles in the shower could do with re-grouting, a small thing i know but it made the room feel shabby. Not sure what the other rooms were like.

There was a fairly large selection of food which was very good...if they could just learn to cut the eyes out of the potatoes and actually cook them properly.

Entertainement was fairly good but started a bit late for the kids 8.30pm and it was the same act for the kids every night.


My only real complaint was on a day trip to Alcudia on the public bus, getting there was no problem but coming home i have never experianced such ill mannered people. Basiically we were at the front of the bus que when the bus arrived and the doors opened we were litterally shoved aggressively out of the way by other holiday maker, most of whom were British im sad to say, This happened several times before we adopted the same approach...not very nice when you have a 4 year old child.

My advice to every one is DON'T book any excursions with the holiday reps i Paid about

we all loved this hotel so much that we are returning this september. the food was excellent,proper english food.the staff were very polite and helpful and you could not fault the cleanliness of the hotel. the entertainment was every night and no need to go out of the hotel. if you do please visit the trotters on the beach bar on the front that was excellent. the pool was kept very clean and enough sunbeds to go round. 1 have been to this hotel twice now and it is great and cant wait to return in september.
