This resort is very basic not really for the english. The shops are all cramped not much there. We were all inclusive did not visit that much but very few bars. I would not stay at this resort again.

The resort of Can Picafort was really nice, lots of shops and a few decent restaurants, we tried a lovely chinese on the main steet as it was my husbands birthday while we were away. The beach was a bit on the small side and the sand dipped quite sharply into the sea which wasnt very good for my young children, however we went along to Alcudia beach and that was fantastic. The sea was shallow for a long way out and I could rest easy. The people in Can Picafort are very friendly and they accommodate the children very well.

We stayed at The Holiday Village Viva which was a fantastic complex - shame about the location
C'an Picafort in our opinion was not nice. It was shabby, the streets were littered with dog mess.
The shops were tacky - with Burger Kings.
Although we had a fantastic holiday I would not want to venture into C'an Picafort again.

A lovely resort. The beach is great and the sea has constant waves making it good fun on inflatables. Only 7.5 euros for two sunbeds and a shade for a day. There are lots of good resteraunts near the beach with alot offering evening entertainment such is tribute bands.
A good range of shops but nowhere near as busy as Alcudia with its homage to the English i.e. Pizza Hut, Indians, Chinese Takeaways etc!
A trip to Inca market is great fun and would recommend No Frills excursions (available from hotel receptions) and cheaper than tour operators.
Great for young families and couples.

We thought it was a reasonably clean resort, the beach was rubbish free.
We found some lovely eating places which were good prices too and very friendly staff int them, and good with children.
I did feel it was more of a German orientated resort. Majority of billboards outside bars and restaurants were written in German.
It was a pleasant little place with some nice shops and cheap supermarkets.

C'an Picafort is a lovely walk from the Holiday Village Viva.We certainly didn't find it a hard walk back to the complex.
It's slightly uphill but not a strenuous walk. Our 3 year old loved the stroll and the fact that you pass a playground on the way was an added bonus.
At night time it was a little creepy around that playground area and there seemed to be youngsters that gathered and drank in the park but they didn't seem to bother anyone. We found that there was a great selection of bars and restaurants, that the staff in all these places loved children and were very, very friendly and helpful.
The food at "Miami 2" is excellent as is the service and the lads at "Trotters on the Beach" are lovely. The beach is beautiful apart from the fact that there are cigarette butts everywhere.
It really is a major problem.Shops are varied and sell all the English brands of nappies and food.So if like me you are dragging all sorts for your child for every eventuality - don't.
You can get everything you need in the resort. Don't know what the big deal is about dog poo,it's the same in Ireland, ciggy butts on the beach definitely more of a prob.
There are pedal cars for 3 or 4 people you can rent and go for a spin around the resort - great fun.All sorts of little rides for children outside shops and make sure you see the mime fairy that blends into the wall, our little girl was mesmerised.
We really did like this resort, it was small, quaint and had everything we needed.

Nice clean place, plenty to do, shallow beach with lovely water. Hire a car there is tons to see. My wife says you must go to Eroski Supermarket & buy doughnuts from their instore bakery, my lot love them.

Lots of choice of where to eat, shops, etc. Cater to the Germans alot, but there were also a few "English" pubs, etc. There was even a Burger King! Beware of the women doing the hair braiding, they could be rather pushy, but once you decide to get it done haggle, as they all over-inflate their initial price.
Beautiful long, sandy beach, but it was quite breezy and this made the sea rather choppy, so not ideal for smaller children.
Beautiful bay and marina is pretty impressive, well worth taking a walk in the evening along the seafront.
There were no men in our party, and we felt perfectly safe while out in the evening with the children.
