C'an Picafort was a lovely resort. Clean. Nice shops, coffee bars etc.

If you wanted more action you could go to Alcudia.

Alcudia old town was a treat. Historical, take your camera.

The resort is excellent - plenty of english bars around even a bar that showed all the soaps - (annie and neils bar) the London Bar was my Favourite - the barman Alex was such a scream - he really made my holiday! So if anyone is reading this and vistis the London Bar please say a big hello from bossyknickers and George - that will bring a smile to his face.

Didn't spend any time on the beach, but it looked fine and the promenade along the front was ideal for a long walk.

A good selection of shops etc and some nice clothes shops amongst the usual touristy rubish.

Visited the market in Picafort on Friday and the one in Alcudia old town on Sunday. Good bus service both ways between Picafort and Alcudia, but be prepared to stand coming back.

The area around the hotel is quite urbanised so you don't get too many of the high rise hotels unless you go into Ca'n Picafort. There were ample tapas bars and one or two english type bars around but if you really want the night life then go to Ca'n Picafort. This area is ideal for strolling and anyone with children or the disabled would be able to get around quite easily. It's a quite resort and long may it remain so. The beach was very clean although there is a constant fight with the sea weed which gets washed up. There is also a cycle path which runs from just outside the hotel along the sea front to Ca'n Picafort and a link train takes you round the resort at very little cost. On a Friday they run the market along the road from the hotel and it is quite a good one. We would certainly visit the resort again.

Son Baulo area of Can Picafort is quiet(ish) and clean. The entertainment is not for those wanting foamy discos but you can get them if you jump in a taxi.
If you enjoy a quiet drink or a bit of Karaoke then you will find it. You can watch/listen and join in various entertainments in the Hotels and bars, all within minutes stroll away.
The beach is lovely, though no sun-beds for hire.
I would definately go here again.

Ca'n picafort is like every other resort in Spain,a wide variety of places to eat and drink both clamouring for both the english and german trade with the odd british pub (no. 1, williams, wotsits etc) offering the soaps for those who really should have gone to benidorm and bratwurst bars for the Germans who are similar. there are a few small tapas bars to be found for those who want to try a bit of culture and not just hollands pies.

Bus to Palma 4.70 Euros hourly and 2.30Euros to Alcudia(the Tuesday market was excellent)

Car hire is highly recommended ~ we got to our hotel in 40mins the coach took 3hrs!

Gorgeous white sand beach.

We actually stayed at this resort 8 years ago and we enjoyed it then, the bars and the beach and shops are out of this world.
Fair enough the shops stock the same things as each other and the franchise SPAR must be making a fortune out there, still a resort with beautiful views and vistas and clean, the locals around the area appeared to be polite, and the staff in the local shops and bars were friendly and helpful.

Playa de Muro is one of a handful of resorts which hug the beach of the wide Bay of Alcudia. These resorts are a little crowded, but low rise, and seem to get less built up the further East you go.
Playa de Muro is not a wide beach, but it has beautiful golden sand, and a strip of pine trees between it and the road. It is cleaned every night.
The hotels are in single file, and overlook the beach and the S'Albufera marshes
