Resort is nice but slightly more expensive and geared up more for the German tourist.
Restaurants there seemed high in cost compared to other parts of Majorca and I advise you not to eat at The Restaurant Torito. Looks divine and you access it by walking down steps but the food was absolutely gross and highly priced to boot.
Beach was gorgous with sunbeds and umbrella costing 7 euros for two.
The resort was quiet and if it were not for the excellent standard and entertainment/food at the Hotel I think we would have spent a fortune and had few places to go.

The beach was clean and work was in progress removing seaweed deposited onto seashore due to a storm during the first two days of our stay at the resort.
There are local disco's and bars but any noise late at night did not effect us.

C`an picafort is a very nice resort with plenty of shops, pubs & cafebars to choose from. One thing we noticed was the service we had was much better than you get in britain. You sit at a table & the waiter comes to the table takes the order & brings what you order with the bill, then takes the money you don`t have to get out of your seat. The beach is very clean & there are plenty of sun loungers to hire.Streets were very clean & tidy but you have to watch out for mopeds which are everywhere, great place for families or couples would recommend it.

Resort had plenty of good bars which offered a mix of German and English catering. Beach promenade was excellent and very pleasant to walk along day or night. Good selection of shops. For a true Spanish experience we recommend a Spanish bar located on Via Suissa called Entre Tapas Y Amigos. Family owned and run lovely Spanish food and drinks.Popular with the locals!!

Tourist Info Office most unhelpful, but Bus service to Alcudia superb - best 2 euros in Majorca. Nature Parc iin Alcudia superb but not promoted widely, similarly necropilis in can picafort.

C'an Picafort is a resort that would be ideal for families and anyone wanting a relaxed holiday. The resort is very clean and friendly. The beach is fantastic, sandy and clean and there are lots of sunbeds available. There are bars and clubs (though we went in may and it was quiet) and a choice of restaurants. Not many authentic 'spanish/mallorcan' restaurants but would recommend 'Mandilego' for a special occasion as it can be pricey.

We pretty much stayed in the hotel so can't really comment on the hotel. But had a few walks into town from the San Baulo end. It's quiet and just about has the feel of a local village. Locals were friendly enough but I got the feeling there are a lot of holiday homes there as not much going on.
Beach at San Baulo was jet black with gunge but that was probably because of the storms. Hope so as it really wasnt' nice to walk along that end.
Would go back to the resort again but only for the hotel.

Well, if you want to go on holiday and not be surrounded by brits, this is the place! (if you do .... go to skegness!) unfairly, there are brits here but are overpowered by germans / dutch! ( i did however visit out of english season) I think it is an older persons retreat, but still it is perfect and a totally different contrast to neighbouring Alcudia! I felt totally relaxed here and uninterrupted or hassled...the beach is amazing, although heavily taken by loungers/parasols, you can find places without if you want to save your money.... you can walk (strong legs willing) all the way to Puerto Alcudia from here - over an hours walk, but what a great thing to do when you haven't got any kids in tow! Also a good point to add is that the main road does not run along the beach front, so pretty safe too....but it is replaced by cafe after cafe, there are plenty of places to eat - german sausage seems popular, there are also a few bars that are more bars than eateries with disco/karaoke/football/english tv......I undoubtedly would come here again and would favour this over alcudia...
There are some english dominant hotels here - clumba mar/ haiti are probably, locality wise, your best bet!
I wouldn't worry too much if your hotel pool isn't up to much as the sea (clearest blue) is very swim-able and paddable for the kids pretty shallow for a long way in, and there are some water sports available including pedaloes/windsurfing...there is also a boat taxi that goes around the bay! there is also a very good bus service route for around the island and plenty of markets...
I went on two trips (through the reps)whilst here - 1 to valdemosa...worth missing.... but the village / monastry were more promising! and the house in the afternoon was also lovely (can't remember it's name - maybe la grancha???!)! I also went on the boat trip to Formentor (from puerto alcudia)....a 1 (exclusive) hotel resort...to where you are left for just over an hour to basically lounge on the beach before returning to the boat for lunch and a champagne dive!
I would be very surprised if someone disagreed with this area...and even if you do get stranded at c'an picafort and it's too quiet...a livelier more family orientated area of alcudia is just a bus ride away....
