This Hotel was a pleasant surprise after some of the reviews I read.
It is decorated in old Spanish style which is quite pleasant. Its situation is ideal for the beach and the promenade in Palma Nova, access gained through a private gate directly on to the beach road.
The rooms are well equipped and kept clean. Yes the English speaking channels on the television are limited but who goes on holiday to watch TV.
The food was really good. If you are expecting pie and chips then you will be disappointed. This is an International Hotel and the food reflects that. The Mallorquin dishes were delicious, and plentiful. The breakfast was equally good.
The staff are very pleasant, helpful and professional.

Hotel Delfin Playa Palma Nova is a very comfortable, quiet, Mediteranean style family orientated hotel. You have to be prepared for the fact that you will probably be the the only English people staying at the hotel. It has to be said that when we were there the hotel was occupied by about 50% Italians, 25% eastern Europeans (mostly polish), and a varied mixture of French, Dutch, and a few Germans making up the remainder.
You have to accept that being English you holiday in a very isolated environment within this hotel, although as soon as you leave the Hotel you are always amongst the English again everywhere in Palma Nova.
For me this was no problem. I am quite happy to holiday away from my compatriots.
The food is varied and of good quality although you will have to again be prepared to dine Mediterranean.

The hotel itself is definately clean and spotless. No problems with any part of the hotel be it the rooms, restaurants or pool area.
All inclusive based on Breakfast 8-10am, lunch 12.30-1400, and dinner 1900-2100. Drinks from bar 11am to 11pm. No pool bar but again the pool isn't far from the main bar. No snacks between mealtimes available but that didn't bother us in the slightest. Always a variety of food available at mealtimes.
Great location - small path down to beach road. Easy access into different parts of Palma Nova. Buses available on the main beach road going into Santa Ponsa one way and Palma City the other, and all the resorts in between these ones. Bars, shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and souvenir shops all available on beach road.
The staff are excellent to get on with. Reception staff very commendable to the hotel itself - fantastic and very patient when dealing with checking in and advising on any queries anyone have. Restaurant and bar staff are polite.
From what we saw of the entertainment team - they were always smiling and friendly. We didn't get involved in the hotel entertainment as we were always out and about in the evenings.
