Location
the hotel was always clean and the room was cleaned daily.
the food was one of the best parts - it made the holiday come alive. the restaurant had food to suit everyone. they had food for french, spanish, english and other countries.
i loved the location, the sun was always shining and it was near the beach, shops, pubs and night clubs.
the staff were always kind and polite. they always wanted to help - no matter of the situation.
the entertainment was my favourite - the entertains were great during the day and put on an excellent show in the evening. there were loads of sports for anyone to take part in - even if you dont like sport (like me) it is fun to join in.
i would like to go there again and i recomend it to everyone.

This hotel is fantastic when i was reading reviews before we went i was thinking oh dear where are we going!! The only downside was all the steps everywhere down to the hotel up to the lifts and bedrooms also the steps up to the pool!!
Our stay was great we have a 2 1/2 year old daughter she loved it, thanks to Sophie she was great she ran the Kids club.Marabelle and the animacion team were fantastic the best yet!! They work damn hard never stop all day entertaining us all the time.
The hotel staff where nice on reception the waiters and waitresses where excellent especially Abel and Carolina thanks alot. Well what more can i say about the Self Service Bar wow no trouble at all no queues great! All in all cant fault this hotel apart from not much choice to eat and nothing for children at all!! Needs updating in the bedrooms but they were very clean so?
We will definately, be returning to this hotel not next year as we like a change. Thanks to all the Staff for making our holiday so great.

The hotel is a bit dated. First impression was not great with bare carpets on the stairs to the first floor. The reception area is quite small and can get crowded. The bedrooms were of a reasonable standard for 3 star. I think the bathroom had recently been renovated as all tiles and sinks/baths looked new. Air con in room worked very well but went off at 0800hrs till about 1300hrs (don't know why)There was a TV but only English speaking channel was Sky News. Rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard and towels changed whenever you wanted.
Pool area is also small but the hotel does not have that many rooms so finding space by the pool was not a problem. Sun beds are chained up till 0830hrs. They do have a policy of not being allowed to reserve sun beds but this was never enforced. They could easily provide a few more sun beds, this would reduce the 0830hrs rush to grab beds. There is a lifeguard on duty and a fairly large slide to keep the kids amused. There is no facility for the hotel to provide towels for pool use as some other A/I hotels do.
We found the food to be excellent. Good selection of salads, a pasta dish which was delicious every lunchtime and dinner, a veggie dish, 2 fish dishes every time and a chicken, pork, beef, lamb selection They didn't have a kids section as such at the buffet but there was always something our kids would eat there was also the occasional burger, fish fingers or chicken nuggets. Snack bar available all day which provided ice cream, crisps, nuts, fruit bread and rolls to which you could add from a selection of tuna, sardines, salami, gammon, chorizo or cheese. There was also a good selection of cakes, pastries and cookies. If your looking for burgers and chips as snacks go elsewhere. as said on other reports the bar is self service. This works amazingly well as I have been to many A/I hotels before but you still have to Queue at the bar. There was never any queues at the bar at this hotel. The beer is on tap you just help yourself. The spirit bottles are all laid out on the bar and you just make up your own. There was always 3 or 4 of each bottle so you never had to wait. Ice was always available and never ran out. Plenty of variety of fruit juices and soft drinks also available on tap. A/I drinks does end at 2300hrs. but stocking up was not a problem as demonstrated by some of the French during the World Cup finals, at some tables you could not see the table for the drinks on top of them.
The entertainment staff were all excellent and catered for all nationalities even though the majority of guests at this hotel were French.
There is the usual activities during the day such as archery/rifle /crossbow/ darts/ waterpolo/volleyball/ tennis. There were activities all day for kids of all ages and a mini disco with games at night from about 2000hrs till 2100hrs. Night time entertainment was a bit hit or miss but usually its what you make of it that counts.
Location is good only about 200m to the beach which was spotless and attended by lifeguards. Watch out for the jelly fish though if you get stung see the lifeguard who will sort you out with some cream.
There were no stag or hen parties at this hotel which is a bonus. and no groups of yobs in football tops.
You can save quite a bit by booking direct with the hotel on OLA hotels website. www.olahotels.com It will be cheaper than other hotel broker sites.
Overall I found this hotel good value for money. I wouldn't go back but that's just because I would like to try somewhere different.

The staff were great with the kids, plenty of activities all day for them. but this hotel was french based who were quite ignorant at times not all but a lot.
The food was quite disgusting till the last day, which we think they changed the chef as all week they didnt cater for the kids but on last day there were burgers, chicken nuggets, fish fingers.
The pool was spacious and plenty of beds most of the time.

The Panama is a great hotel if you like unusual foriegn food, I can eat almost anything but refused quite a lot of the menu. It may have been different had the food been labelled, but more often than not it was do i like the look of this creation.
The self service bar had a very good selection, always plenty of spirits available, with an all day buffet for sandwiches, crisps, cakes and ice cream.
The evening entertainment was disappointing and was geared mostly to the french, (who were very rude and arrogant at all times) the daytime entertainment was first class, many thanks to Maribel and the team. Thet worked very hard to try to ensure everyone had a good time, if you could get past the french, they hated everyone.
If you book to come here dont forget to book for the jet ski, banana boat horseriding or parasending at only 6 yes SIX Euros each.
All in all a good holiday and we would probably come back again in a couple of years.

We went all inclusive which was extremely good value, three good meals a day (if you wanted it) plus drinks from 10.30am until 11pm at night.
The hotel was very clean, although the rooms were a little dated. I would hope they will consider upgrading their bathrooms and redecorating their bedrooms, but again the the rooms were very clean.
The entertainment catered for the French in general, but the reps were very pleasant and did their best to include us.

Food was very good always a good choice even for a fussy eater like me.Self service bar, always every drink you wanted.
Entertainment was good for the children my 8 yr old daughter enjoyed all the activities even with a broken arm the children

The food was excellent with a good choice, the bedrooms need updating urgently as they used to be used for self catering, so the table fridge and sink need to come out as they are no longer used it would give more room.
There were only 18 other British guests in that week the others were French. I liked the self service bar but I didn't like having to clear the plates off your own table and scrape them in a bin as I am used to a waiter removing them. A big let down as there was no gala dinner.
There didnt seem to be many staff working there only plenty of cleaners in a morning.

The next morning we decided to make the best of the 5 days we had in resort and look around. The first thing we noticed was that all of the other guests were french!! We were a little disappointed as out son is only 4 years old and we (and he) were hoping for other children for his to play with. We need not have worried, it would appear that the brits liked to sleep in so as the morning progressed more and more appeared.
This hotel ended up being everything our family needed. The food, I have to say, we found very good, always a good choice and served hot, deserts were especially good!!
The staff were always helpfull and the hotel kids club staff were excellent, always encouraging the kids to join in ( Christina was a favourite of my son and many others)
All the entertainers worked very hard to ensure guests enjoyed themselves and although the evening entertainment was far from Las Vagas they did their very best and a good laugh was had by all.
My advice is to give this hotel a go, clean and friendly with good food and with the added bonus of helping yourself to a comprehensive range of drinks all day ( no queuing at the bar!!)this hotel was well worth the money we paid.
It's position not 200 meters from the bus stops, shops, bars and beach front make it in my opinion an ideal choice.
