Make sure you stay in Sol Mirlos NOT Sol TORDOS. There’s two hotels and this is the most modem and has better larger rooms. Tell reception when you arrive.

Beaches

Whilst we were staying major work was going on with what appeared to be the main sewer-lot of noise and beeping cars early in the morning and throughout the day.
Beach was gorgeous.

Very quiet and clean in February - somewhat different in the summer I suspect. Beautiful beaches and a lovely promenade to stroll along.

Palma Nova is a nice place though many shops/bars/cafes were closed when we were there (End December, beginning of January)
The local dog owners allow their pets to foul anywhere and I found I was constantly looking down to avoid mess.
The bus service to Palma was excellent (though forget the timetables!) being served by 5 different bus numbers.

Lovely weather for November. Only thing to add to all the previous reports is that Palmanova at this time of year is like Eastbourne relocated to the sun! Magaluf was very quiet. Just want to add a note about entertainment. Stayed at the Son Matias and it was better than expected. Top marks go to a chap from Birmingham (can't remember his name) used to be a warm-up act for the BBC. Must have missed stardom by a cats whisker. Belted out the songs well into the night like a good-un. And, a very special mention to an acrobatic group called Orient Express. After a short while of watching them you realised you were watching something very special indeed. Two gorgeous girls and a guy who looked like the increadible hulk doing all the usual acrobatic stuff but with such skill, style and charm that it blew you away. Now who’s kidding who? These acrobats are not your average entertainers they are world class and to have them perform in the hotel bar is just unbelievable. My guess is that they are from the Pirates show which has closed for the winter. Perhaps they are keeping their hand in until the show opens again in the Spring.
This also brings me on to a programme of events organised by Calvia - the Palmanova local council. This free programme is aimed at keeping the place alive during the Winter months. Events range from guided walks to market visits, and on Saturday mornings flamenco and dancing shows on the sea-front put on by the local dance schools (truly excellent).
There are also concerts in the Sala Palmanova (council hall). Out of curiosity we went along to a show called CATS. Had no idea what to expect except that it probably wasn’t the Andrew Lloyd Webber production! Would you believe - it turned out to be an acrobatic show featuring one of the girls from the hotel trio and two others. The show was in the same league but totally different from the hotel act. Once again – totally boggling free entertainment. I would pay good money to see them again.

Palma Nova is very small with most of the entertainment taking place in Magalluf which is only 5 mins walk.
The beach is supberb with plenty of loungers if required.

palmanova is good for a chilled out beer and the minigolf is a must. magaluf is superb especially the plaza-a goal every night.and the bronze bar across the road from the magaluf park is a good crack and really nice owners.

The resort of Palma Nova is very nice, its not very far to walk to magaluf, and there is more than enough entertainment in the area to keep you busy. There are plenty of little shops and bars to visit, There are many restuarnts to visit each one different and original.
The beach is very clean and is around nine euros for two sunbeds and a unbrella for the whole day. However, Steer clear of people selling cans of pop, melons and fruit etc. on the beach, these people are crooks and take advantage of the common tourists trust! thirty euros was stolen off myself by two of these. Do not buy off them!
Overall the resort is very good and would visit again in a different hotel.

Resort was quiet given the time of year. Plenty pubs and restaurants to go too- never ate out as food in hotel was great!
Beaches were clean, though the sea was full of jelly fish!
