A quiet area of Playa De Muro, which is just what we wanted. There were 4 supermarkets,a few other shops and about 6 restaurants within walking distance.

A lot quieter than nearby Alcudia so great for families with younger children. Usually array of arcade stuff will lots of games for the children to play (make sure you have a ready supply of 1 euros!!!).
Beach is lovely and clean - seaweed does come in late in the afternoon though. but is cleared away by morning.
Regular buses pass through to take you to nearby places so if you fancy a night out it is easy to arrange.

Playa de Muro is remote and not for the person who likes well run resort.

The hotel is well placed in an area known as Alcudia Pins. There are a small number of bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The local bus service is fantastic (every 15 mins right outside the hotel) if you fancy a change of scenary to either Pollenca, Alcudia Port, Alcudia Old Town or Caen Picafort. Is does get crowded on these buses so be warned. It took just over an hour to get to Palma on an air-conditioned public bus at a cost of under 30 euros for a family of 4. (A similar trip with First Choice was approx 120 euros for a family of 4)
There are a number of beach bars within walking distance which are really great (The Underground does a fab english breakfast). One beach bar just on the dunes behind the hotel (the one with a yellow slide for kids) has nice views of the bay (and a happy hour!). You can walk through the pine forests or hire bikes to explore the surrounding countryside.
In the evenings the resort is quiet with entertainment all focused in the hotels. The kids are well provided for with a couple of amusement arcades and pony rides in the early evening. If you want more variety you need to take a trip to Playa De Muro/Alcudia/Caen Picafort. The last bus back is before 10.30pm and is very crowded but there are plenty of taxis.
The resort is clean and well looked after. The beach is very clean and the only negative point is the seaweed which gradually makes its way down the coast during the day. The beach is cleared however as you can spot mounds of seaweed at certain points which we saw being taken away quite regularly. The bay is lovely and not too crowded. Jet skis/boats etc are kept away from the swimming areas.
There are mosquitoes about so make sure you take some spray/protection for the evenings.
Would visit this resort again.

Playa del Muro was fairly clean but the lack of entertainment was suprising.
If you took Oasis and the Posh Paddy bar out, the place would be woeful at night.
The beach was lovely just went on for miles.
To to sum up great hotel, but evenings too quiet for grown ups with no kids.

Quiet location, but easy access to Alcudia and Can'picafort via local bus or taxi.
Only a few restaurants with similar menu's, not partically great quality. We ate in Can'Picafort most nights, restaurants are excellent here, very friendly.
Beach is beautiful and by far one of my favourites. Entertainment for children revolves around arcade type, and pony rides on the same poor ponies daily.
Go elsewhere when children or you get fed up as the area on a whole has plenty to offer.

Playa De Muro is nice enough, but not a great deal going on, other then the hotel complexes, which really are enough on a family holiday
Bus ride to C'an Picafort is only 1 euro and takes around 5 mins, 8 euros back in a taxi, well worth a visit. Loads going on, bars and restaurants, and nice beach front, although beach very busy during the day.
Alcudia bit further, and we thought not worth a visit

This is a great resort, quieter area which is what we prefer.
Few restaurants etc around. The beach is great, very clean and they comb it every evening. It has an on-shore breeze which is great as without it it would be to hot for our 2 year old.
