Only shame apart from the weather was no one had told us it becomes a ghost town on 31st October. Everywhere shuts, little stock in supermarkets because they have been running it down.

There wasn't much lively entertainment of an evening so we went into Alcudia town to do some shopping and have a drink in the cafe's. We even visited a great little nightclub called 'Papaya' in C'an Picafort.
There is also a place called 'Ranche Grande' about 15 to 20 minutes drive from the hotel that serves up a barbeque and does horse riding and line dancing.

We walked into c'an picafort each day which is 10 minutes up the road, but be careful at night as there is no street lighting. There are a number of bars and resturants, the best one we found for value and friendliness was Williams Bar owned by two brothers (William & Paco)great lads well worth a visit!

Relatively small, but good enough for the variety required for a couple of weeks.
Possible to find local resturants with great food provided you can understand the menu (licky dip).
Spaniards seem to go to dinner with their entire family fairly late in the evening, taking their food at a leisurely pace and making a great fuss of their offspring, a joy to behold. You are of course tolerated outsiders, the food in these establishments was the best on the holiday, the pace of the service forced you to unwind or was it the beer.
Interesting and enjoyable evenings.

There was a limited choice of restaurants in a fairly smnall area and you really had to venture out of the resort to find things to do.The beach was fairly clean and was ideal for kiddies.Wouldn't return to Playa de Muro again as there wasn't enough to keep us occupied for a week nevermind a fortnight.

Beach was lovely at Playa De Muro - very quiet in September and you only really get people going to the beach that are staying at Playa De Muro as it is not really close enough to Alcudia etc. Boat trips from the beach taking you to the Port Alcudia and also further a field - would recommend to anyone,

Playa de muro is very tidy with loads to do, for us kids! there are two arcades, a trampoline, pony riding and the beach is just a second away from the hotel, the street it is on is really safe and my mum and dad let me and my brother go down to the arcades and the supermarket on our own! Go the hidro park and see pirates they are both really good, but dont go to the caves of drach because it is rubbish! The beach is really good because you can go in the sea,it is very clean and safe. I would definatley come to playa gardens again, it was the best holiday I have ever had!

the resort was in a nice quiet area not far from public transport to go in to the town for shopping.

The resort of c'an picafort is about a 10-15 minute walk away or about 5 euros if you dont fancy the walk (reception will always order a taxi for you. The old boat pub on the front serves excellent food and the service is great. Also for any thirty somethings out their, there is the reggae bar along the front with good music and good food while you watch the world go by.
Alcudia is about 6 miles away and the bus stops right outside the hotel (all very nice air conditioned coaches), and costs less than one and a half euros each, alternatively a cab will set you back around 12 euros one way.The beaches at both Alcudia and c'an picafort are both excellent and well worth a visit.
If you do use a taxi to the hotel from either resort remember to ask for "el Camping" as that was the hotels previous name and a lot of the taxi drivers have never heard of Blue Bay holiday village.
