Food in the restaurant was good and varied with something to please all tastes. The separate food section provided for the children was a good idea.
The pool area was always clean and tidy but the availability of sun beds and umbrellas could be better managed.
The beach, promenade and restaurants are just a short stroll away from the Puerto Azul Suite Hotel. We've booked for 2007 today.

The food was excellent. Our 10 year old loved the children's buffet. Plenty of choice, and you could go up as often as you liked. Particularly liked the grill section where a chef was cooking food in front of you.
Hotel location was fine - suppose the only downside was there is no sea view, but beach is only a 3 minute walk away.
Staff first class - from reception to waiters/waitresses - they love the kids! Hola wappa (hello beautiful!).
The entertainment was great. Kids club great. Our youngest at 2 and a bit wasn't old enough to join, but she was still welcome at the drop in centre. Brilliant work from Alex and Impey and the rest of the team. Stardom beckons.
Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone with children under the age of 12. May not suit families with teenagers.
PS: Visit the town of Pollensa (a one Euro bus ride) and climb the 365 steps up to the little church at the top.
Worth it for the views.

On arrival we thought yes ok it looks good. We were a little disappointed that you were told where you room was rather than not being shown. But when found it was a good sized family room. The welcome meeting was well presented. Giving some good advise on tours and things.
The pool was excellent, kept clean and tidy, Every morning the pool was cleaned. Strong on chlorine though!
Food. Was top quality. A dish for everyone. Counted 42 different dishes one evening!
The entertainment during the day was sufficient. A mid morning game of Boule, pool, bean bags. And a daily quiz. There was no pressure what so ever for you to join in.
The kids zone was great. The entertainers were great with children, making them feel welcome. Jolly Jess & Loopy Laura were the ones our son fell for. Especially Loopy Laura! The evening entertainment was good. The kids had their entertainment 1st from 8pm. With an appearance by Thomson the dog! The adults entertainment was also good. With some participation ny the parents some time required. Not a problem!!
We took the Pirates excursion (a must for all ages). They even encouraged the children to dress up as a pirate and Jolly Jess even done face painting for budding pirates. We also done the marine land tour. There wasn't much to do here. You saw the Seals and then the Dolphin shows, and a parrot show and then had about 2 hours to kill. Very small place, not much to do.
The weekly local market is a must to visit. Loads of locals selling local products. A great place to buy your presents.
We were very relaxed whilst on holiday.
We only have 6 weeks to go and were off there again!

Just returned from a fortnights stay at the puerto azul.
Absolutely brilliant!
The rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day.
The hotel staff are very friendly, especially in the restaurant. Food got a bit samey in the second week, but when does'nt it on two weeks half board.
The Superfamily staff were brilliant. They really earned their money when the weather was terrible.
Our kids did'nt use the kids club, but we got favourable reports from everyone.
The Entertainment staff were fantastic, I think my wife fancied Amazing Adam!
Some griped about the sunbed rush at 9am. I found it a really good way of getting to know other guests.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone of any age, and will most probably go next year.

The hotel is situated within close proximity to the beautiful beach and pine walk area of Pollensa with a backdrop of the mountains close by.
The hotel itself was very clean and tidy and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant (Isabel was great fun!).
The entertainment throughout the day was great for adults and kids alike. The music during the day got a bit tedious and sometimes loud, however it seemed more acceptable during our second week (I suspect they'd had some complaints!). The entertainers deserve mention; Amazing Adam, Ruthy Juggs, Princess Ryan and Barbie Ben to name a few. They all work very hard and deserve much credit.
The only downside we felt was the noise level after 9.30pm. We had a room on third floor with a pool view (307, block C) directly overlooking the outside stage. It did become very difficult to get our 2 year old to sleep some nights due to the noise levels, but this would be our only complaint. Also the pool snacks are a bit poor for the money.
We would definitely stay here again and so would our friends, however we would request a quieter mountain view room!!

There was 2adults and 2children (age 9 & 4) on this holiday with reinforcements of nanny and grandad coming our 2nd week.
The hotel is in a great location with the mountains as a beautiful backdrop. The hotel cleanliness was excellent. The hotel staff very friendly, especially in the restaurant. The rooms were very spacious and clean.
The food in the restaurant was lovely. Plenty to choose from and everything was labelled which was good for my husband who is vegetarian. They always had a vegetarian choice everyday, so he had plenty to eat too.
The entertainment was great. The shows that came in from outside most of the time were good. The superfamily entertainment team (Amazing Adam, Princess Ryan and Ruthy Jugs) were the best. They worked so hard all day and night. They were fantastic.
The childrens reps were great too. Barbi Ben and his team also worked so hard. They worked really well as a team and made the childrens holiday fantastic. Our daughter who is 4 has Down's syndrome and all the reps including the entertainment reps included her in everything and really made our holiday by looking after her so well. They children went a couple of times to the kids club but most of the time enjoyed going to the drop in centre on the kidszone everyday which got them out of the sun and gave us 2 hours rest a day too.
All the team I found were great. There was not a day gone by when one of them was not chucked in the pool by the children, but they did not mind they really enjoyed playing in the pool with all the kids.
As usual in all these hotels there is never enought sunbeds. In the mornings it was like a mens club, with the men waiting by the sunbeds for them to be unlocked chatting. But if people were not greedy and only took two sunbeds per family then of course there was enough to go round, but you have to get there early (before 9am).
All in all we had a fantastic, great, wonderful time and I would recommend it to families most definately. My mum and dad had their 2nd week on their own after we had gone home, but they still had a great time afterwards too.
We loved it so much, we have just booked again to go next year.

The cleanliness of the hotel was great and nothing to complain about.
The location of the hotel couldn't be better, just a 2 minute walk from the beach and the pine walk.
The staff in the hotel were really nice and friendly.
The entertainment at the hotel was fantastic too, the kids joined in everyday and loved the Thomson kiddy reps (super Sam and Barbie Ben). My daughter loved the kids club and I found the kids reps to be very responsible and trustworthy. The daytime entertainment was brilliant especially the whirlpool and the aerobics with Ruthy jugs.
The waiters were very friendly and the food at the pool bar was excellent and v good value for money too.
We took our friends with us this time and they couldn

The food was excellent (apart from the pool bar snacks, this was the only slight negative point I can make about the holiday as we thought they were a bit naff).
The apartments/rooms were more than adequate, we expected a room not an apartment with a balcony with a great view of the mountains.
Superb holiday, we enjoyed it and little one loved it which is surely the most important thing.
I would definitely recommned it to families with children.

Couldn't fault the hotel staff (especially restaurant) or the Thomson entertainment team. Special mention for the very talented Princess Ryan, the ridiculously handsome Amazing(?) Adam and the brilliant Barbie Ben (Oooh Betty, erm he's nice).
And a very special mention for Ruthie's Jugs.
