My top hotel tip is to avoid this hotel and area spend the money on somewhere closer to Palma where it’s probably maintained and nice or just in case you want to go home your close to the airport.

Area around the Hotel
=================
S’illot itself is not a very big resort which is nice because everything is on hand. There is a Spar Supermarket exactly across the road from the hotel, but, also just around the corner is another supermarket which is a fair amount cheaper. (go right out of the hotel past Tonys bar and take the first major left – the supermarket is on your right). Also both to the left and right of the hotel all along the sea front are a selection of restaurants. Our favourite was Oncle Willeys which is along the sea front to the right. Also in the same direction is a bar which offers champagne and beer for 1 euro – we went here every day.
If you take a left out of the hotel and follow the coast line for approx 10 mins you will come to the resort of Sa coma which has more restaurants and shops and a large beach. We found a great Chinese here which gives starter, main meal, desert and coffee plus a drink for 7 euros.
The beach opposite the hotel is great and I think to hire 2 sunbeds plus an umbrella costs 14 euors but we bought lilos and laid on them on the 2 occasions we went on the beach.
There are plenty of shops to buy beach things and clothes etc and also presents

The resort is lovely although very quiet. If you want a meal and a drink its fine but no real night life. If you walk into Sa Coma which is 10 mins along the sea front you will find more night life there. The Kings Head is good for Karaoke, Bingo etc.

The only good thing about the resort is it was only a foot bridge away from SaComa with alot of activities, the beach was lovely..

s'illot is only small but has plenty of eating places and shops to look around. its only a small walk to sa coma and theres a little more going on there. cala millor is a 10 min bus ride away for those that want a little more night life.
the beach was clean and safe
the only downfall we found was for my 2 teenage sons ( 18 and 16 ) found that there wasnt much to keep them entertained but the 2 younger kids loved it.
its a safe place and i always felt safe when walking around on my own
deffo a place to go if you want a nice family holiday

Found the resort to be nice, clean and tidy. Lively of an evening but not too much if you are a family. Plenty of nice shops and bars and restaurants to choose from

I loved S'Illot and would definitely go back again. It was a very relaxing place and suited us fine but if you are looking for nightclubs and other late night entertainment this would not be the place for you.

Fantastic beach !! clean, secluded, marvelous restaurants that cater for singles and couples. The beach is not over populated during busy months and many of the locals share the beach which gives it a nice spanish feel.Peaceful and yet a casual stroll over a quaint wooden bridge to Sa Coma where there is some nightliofe and wide array of shops to cater for everyone.Definately a must visit.

The area is lovely - we didn't find it too noisy - the beaches are really good and the food is good - we liked the chinese restaurants in Sa Coma and the beachfront Antic restaurants best. Tony's and Fogons and the Red Lion are also worth a visit.
There's not much in the way of evening entertainment which we are used to having so we 'gatecrashed' other hotels nearby.
On the whole we did enjoy ourselves but have realised that it is not our sort of holiday - we like nice rooms that are cleaned regularly, air conditioning and evening shows etc.
If you've already booked, don't worry you'll have a good holiday and if your thinking of booking just remember that it is budget accommodation.
Incidentally I spoke to loads of other guests who were really pleased with the accommodation and would come back again. (There are 2 buildings at Arcos - I stayed in the one over the road from the pool and the standards may have been different in these).
