We were in block C and were very happy with this as it got the sun until about 1.30 p.m. Block A got the sun in the afternoon and evening but this could make the room very hot. Having said that all rooms seem very spacious and bright.

The town itself was disappointing although if you’re in the ‘Blackpool is great’ brigade (but without the nightclubs) then you’ll do just fine. We steered clear of British pubs although after five nights of rubbish Spanish service and average food we started to question this policy. As luck would have it we stumbled upon Es Passeig restaurant just past the well-known King’s Head and unearthed a little gem. Decent service, decent food, decent prices and decent surroundings. It was the only place we’d recommend.

Ones to avoid

La Todega – 75 minutes to get served a tiny meal and when it arrived it wasn’t cooked properly. There were only 10 people in the restaurant so it’s not like they were rushed off their feet. High prices and a real let down.

Cafe Del Mar – Food cooked on a grill outdoors in front of diners which looks and smells great but the manager’s attitude left a lot to be desired. My daughter dropped her fork pre-meal and as I went to pick it up the manager took it away and never brought a replacement. Half an hour and four ignored requests later, I had to go to the bar and demand a replacement for a fork I never wanted taken away in the first place!

Juan Steak House – not bad, just plain average.

Hippodrome – if you like being ignored in favour of Spanish diners then you’ll be fine here!

Happy Bar – not bad but the chilli pizza left me needing to near the toilet for the next 2 days!

Troublesome teenagers being aloud to stay out until 3 and 4 in the morning was a nightmare.

Having to get up a 6am just so as you had any chance of getting a sun lounger was ridiculous.

We met 2 blokes who having already been there for a week and not once had been able to get a sun lounger for their families, actually slept on 2 loungers all night!!!!! What sort of holiday is that!!!!!!!!!

The beach has soft very fine sand, with a long promenade which was lovely for an evening stroll. There is a bike shop on the main road which hires out bikes and motorised cars for the children. Do not expect a quite walk along the prom as this was used by bikers. Very safe for children. The beach was as busy at night with lots of people strolling along the edge of the sea and playing volleyball on the sand. There were also families having beach picnics. There are many restraunts and cafes in the resort, lots of chinese restraunts touting for business in the evening. Lots of shops, some souvenier type shops and some more upmarket shops. A great selection for everyone.

Sa coma is a beautiful part of Majorca.

It has the most beautiful beach.
You can walk along the front on a wide footpath and is so clean and tidy. The beach is spotless and the sea was great.
You can go out very far and still tuch the bottom which we found good for the children.

There are quite a few bars and shops but not a young person's place.

Sa Coma is a place for family not young single people.
We will go back again.

Very British, Blackpool in the sun.
If you like the above then this is a good family resort with reasonable quality, cheap food and good family entertainment.
The beach is very good although this can become very busy.

The resort is great for familys and older couple who are looking for a lively resort without gangs of lads or lasses ect, Sa Coma is more or less completely flat so great for buggys, or the less able.

The beach is to die for white sands and crystal clear sea, however the resort does seem to lack in good resterantes, a great selection of bars serving food, but very British, but never the less we never had a bad meal and all the places we ate in were very resonable and offered a great standard of service.

Especially the Royal Oak (nr the capriado ?? supermarket) did mean breakfast (full monty)which set us up for the day !!

The resort was very clean. It is a very peaceful and safe resort ideal for families. If you plan on visiting the caves of drach don't book the the rep who charges 31 euro's each. We caught the bus ourselves which took about 20 mins and drops you off outside. For a family of four it cost us 30 euros in total including the entrance fee. Bargain!!

sa coma was a wicked place to stay even for a young couple. the beaches where lovely (although rocky). we found several great places to eat we was spoiled for choice. the kings head do great food and the entertainment was fab. all of the bar staff made us feel so welcome and the dj was a laugh too! its run by a young lad called manno?? and he really did do his best to make us welcome we didn't want to leave!
also the royal oak was good for food but in my opinion a little over facing if like me you feel rude not eating it all. the wedge of beef was well worth the money (about 7 euros) thats definatly worth trying. the staff where all nice too.

we didi take a walk to bar antic on the sea front in sillott but didnt like it very much we waited almost 1 hour and it really wasnt worth the wait.

one thing we did do was the safari and i must say it was ok and just ok. if you like that monkeys jump up at you to steal anything they can grab then its ok but i found it a waste of money

sa coma will definatly be seeing us again
