We were in block C and were very happy with this as it got the sun until about 1.30 p.m.
Block A got the sun in the afternoon and evening but this could make the room very hot.
Having said that all rooms seem very spacious and bright.

Had a great time. The staff at JJ and the Sportsman were great very helpful. Also the food served in these two British owed bars was great tried the other English bars in the resort not much to write about them stay clear of the grapes food really bad after a long wait. Its one to miss.
The beach was clean and a trip to the castle is a must
S'illot is the next resort down the beach front.
There are 4or5 english bars there the best one we went into
was called the lunchbox the owner john is from St Helens
great food and drink and all the sports channels ready for the world cup next year we thought both resorts were great
for young famlys and older couples if you have any problems
Dave & Phil at the Sportsman , and Lois & Lee at JJs are the people to see.
Can't wait for next year!

The resort is very child friendly with plenty of games and activities organised for adults as well as children, we often sat on our balcony in the morning and watched the aerobics on the outdoor stage. We regulary saw the pool water being tested, and there was a large number of maintaince staff. Kids play areas are fantastic and we had a hard time dragging the kids of resort to go to other places. Beach ok but not as clean a I would have liked, bins are emptied but there are a large number of ciggie ends on the sand which don't seem to be removed.
Spent most evening in the hotel, the entertainment was good kids club between 7-8pm then more family entertainment up till about 10pm. They do a great kids cocktail complete with umbrellas etc. my kids loved them.

Sa coma is great and clean. Great food and hospitality at The Royal Oak and the Kings Head couldn´t praise them enough. We've already booked for next year.

The resort itself is very clean with plenty of local shops and bars most bars are very british and we found very few places with a spanish feel.
However a resurant called OASIS is excellent with real spanish people and lovely food (mostly served without chips)

Outside the hotel is a spar but the better place to go is the 'caprabo' around the back of the hotel, its basicaly a Tesco size place to get everything you need.
The hotel was approx two thirds Germans which at times (no problems with sunbeds!!)you felt a bit alienated but as Colin told us the Germans only book top quality resorts so it must be good. There are plenty of places to eat and drink,we can recommend Salvatores just outside the Hotel and The best British place was The Royal Oak(try the Beef Wedge!!),and for some posh nosh try Oasis.
We asked where the reps ate and they mostly go to the Royal oak so that was the best recommendation we needed,The others are all quite similar in what they serve quality wise but no real bad ones that we ate from although we were sick of chips in the end!
The beach was nice and only 10 minutes away but was covered in a line of seaWeed and was quite churned up at the waters edge,so i don't know if its normally like that but i didn't go in.
We tried a couple of trips, marine land and and a submarine trip called Nemo.
Marine land was nice but small, the dolphins,SeaLions, and Parrot show were the main attractions and they were worth the 75 minute coach trip alone as they were good shows. The only disappiontment was you get there for around 10:30am and you leave around 2:30 and fitting in the 3 main shows and quieng for food doesn't leave much time, and your back on the coach. We did the MarineLand Extra trip where you get fod tokens to spend.6 euros per adult and 4 per child,no change given, which was good value given the trip was 116 euros for the 4 of us.
The Nemo Underworld trip was a once in a lifetime chance to go on a submarine, again the trip was 90 mins to Magaluf where you take a boat out to the sub and spend nearly an hour under the sea looking at the fish, the deliberatley placed ship wreck and watch the divers feed the fish. They take photo's of you as you enter the sub etc and will offer them for purchase at the end of the trip for 12 euros for 2 or 48 euros for all 8.While we were pondering a bloke came up to us with a calculator and typed in 35 euros for all 8 so maybe try and negotiate quietly ,you may get a better deal as i think it was in his interest to sell them all and the bus was due any minute!!The cost of the Nemo trip was an eyewatering 216 euros for the 2 adults (59 each) and 2 kids(49 each) but it was a once in a lifetime thing and we can recommend it. If you have a 2 year old your laughing as they seem to be free on everything, just our luck our youngest was 3!! Again the minor dissapointment with this trip was no spare time to eat or look around, you are on the go all the time so pack a lunch. The trip is also not a Thompson trip so they couldn't organise a discount to the price so there will be no rep on the bus to welcome you, just when you get to the Nemo building in Magaluf will someone come out and explain what happens.
We read a comment on this site about the safari trip and were interested in going on the regular bus to this that seems to go around the resort When we enquired about it we found out it never passed Thomsons health and safety regs so they don't talk about it on your welcome meeting, and if you have monkeys jumping you for your food we thought it best to give it a miss rather than traumatise the 3 year old!

First time in Sa Coma, I would return again.
just arrived back on Saturday (1/10/2005) the weather was excellent (wish I was still there)
The resort was very nice and clean, has a few lively bars, it is not ruined with louts. There are loads of British Bars and restaurants.
One of the many restaurants that I highly reccommend is 'British El Baron' the food is superb, for those with an appetite then head to 'The Royal Oak'. You are spoilt for choice with loads of good places to eat.
Near the beach is a ranch with horses, cockrels and chickens, this is well worth a visit in the day time on your way to the beach.

I don't think that 2 weeks in this resort are reccomended as there is no were near enohg things to do, we didn't go to the zoo safari as we intended as the bus always seemed empty so we decided not to waste our money, we did however have a nice walk once of twice to calla millor, there are alot more shops and the beach had alot more room on it than sa coma, however, there was alot of large rocks there.. 1 of which i kicked in the sea as i didn't see it.
We also had a walk to the castle, it wasnt much when we got there, was quite small.
We had the breakfast buffett at the complex which was very nice, but alot of people who had the dinner warned us off it.
If you are self catering we do reccomend the royal oak. we ate there most of the time, they are friendly and the food is great(reminds you of home) also... anyone travelling from st helens may know one of the staff 1 Gary Atherton, Dont forget to say hi!!
I don't reccomend going to a chinese called the peking duck or the one next to it, they tout for business and the food left us all regretting having eaten there.
The beach here was always packed, not enough room to let children run around, although it had no large rocks like calla millor did.
They have a glass bottom boat that takes you to 3 bays, we never went on it as it was always way to packed to take a pram on board.
If we ever visit Majorca again, i think we would have to go to Magaluf or Palma nova, all the better entertainment and things to do were all over that side of the island.

Sa Coma is a gorgeous resort. Even tho there were 5 of us singles, we still found plenty to do. We went to Delaneys most evenings, the entertainment is the best.
The best place we found to eat was The Grapes, great food, great hosts, they always had plenty of time for everybody. Worst place was JJ's and The royal oak, well the food was just stomach turning as there was far too much on the plates.
Didnt like the Sportsmans too much, they had hard bum hurting plastic tables and chairs and food pretty awful too. The Beach was lovely, clean and the sea..well what can i say ..Green, Blue, crystal clear.
More people should know about Sa Coma its not very well advertised.
