This is the second AI we have stayed in and we were all really pleased. There wasn't as much choice that there has been in other hotels when we have stayed half board although there was always something that you could eat and the food was very nice.
The hotel rooms were cleaned every day with the exception of Thursday and Friday (I think) and the rooms are very spacious although it is pot luck with regards to which room you get. We were happy with our room although it didn't have a sea view - it overlooked the mini golf and children's park area which meant they could play and we could see them from our enormous balcony! On first arriving at the hotel we were a little disappointed but the hotel really grows on you - it is more a complex than other hotels that we have stayed in that are usually set over a number of floors. But this actually adds to the charm of the place as all room are spread into the hillside.
The hotel is not too close to the beach which wasn't a problem for us as our children want to stay around the poolside or join in with the mini club (age 4 and 10). There are lots of steps to the beach for a quicker alternative to the road although we tended to stroll down to the beach the long way the road way so that we could take our daughter for a walk in the buggy for her to have a siesta! However, be warned you have to be fit - it is a very hilly resort! Be prepared if you do take a buggy or have limited mobility you will struggle with the hills! However, this was mentioned before we booked the hotel so it should not come as any surprise to anyone who books!
Hotel staff were very pleasant and courteous - one of the barmen was very funny! Always throwing down his tray pretending to have dropped it and waiting for a cheer! And the entertainment team were by far the best I have experienced. They worked relentlessly and no matter how many times they got thrown into the pool they still were cheerful!
The kids club was 11-1 and 3-5 which was great to keep my two pale red heads out of the sun and the team - Elena, Wendy, Alex and Neils were superb and really friendly - they really are an asset to the hotel! My daughter especially like Elena - the Spanish girl - who always smiled! Your children will love them! My ten year old was distraught when she had to say goodbye to them and cried all the way from the hotel to the airport as she was going to miss them all so much! Their enthusiasm is truly wonderful no matter how many times they do the same songs! it is as if they are really enjoying all the dances!
The shows are all home grown - once again done by the entertainment staff - they were pretty much what you expect but the children loved them!
A truly fabulous hotel - very organised and well run! it is not an easy task feeding and watering that number of people with what appeared to be not that many staff - but they did it and made it look easy - I would defiantly recommend!

had great stay and could have stayed another week.
read mixed reviews before we went and for a 3* i was not exspecting much, but we were all pleasantly surprised. food was good although more choice would have been great. snacks basic, either hotdog or burgers with chips.
pool area great for kids, mine are 1 and 4.
my kids loved kids disco and kids club was on 4 hours a day 11-1 and 3-5.

Had a fantastic week out of season. There is an outdoor heated pool which is partly covered so it can be used all year round. The food was great, very varied and lots of typical english, pork chops n gravy etc as well as spanish and german dishes. Had a lovely park next to the restaurant so u can watch the kids as u eat.
The drink selection was great. Even the cocktails are included which is very unusal. The hotel is on top of a large hill, so it has amazing views over the sea and santa ponsa. If u cant walk far dont go as there are lots and lots of steps. There is a free shuttle bus to santa ponsa but the hotel has steps to each room. The entertainment was ok. but had to be in english and german so the quiz could be slightly confusing. You can go on organised walks do golf or archery there is others but i cant remember.
The rooms are huge! massive balcony kitchen tv lounge and a bedroom. Normally all inclusive are just a room and beds. Had a lovely week met some lovely people. a mix of english and german. very friendly.
I would definately return for a bargain all inclusive

The hotel was very nice but had lots of stairs. It was hard work carrying the suite cases. The room was really nice but the location of the hotel was up a hill. We went back fit and toned though.

Went to Club Santa Ponsa for 3 night all inclusive. Firstly the location of the hotel is at the top of a bank but the views were brilliant.
Staff are very welcoming but speak very little English.
Choice of food was limited but food available was nice. We mainly ate chips and pasta all week. Hotdogs or burgers with chips were available during the day time in the bar area.
The night entertainment was a quiz which lasted about 30 mins then back ground music for the rest of the night.
I would visit this hotel again if I was returned to Santa Ponsa for a relaxing long weekend but would go elsewhere if looking for a lively weekend away.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of the summer season as Santa Ponsa shops etc. were closing down. For a very reasonable rate.
Our room was spacious clean and very comfortable, we actually appreciated the fact that this hotel was situated on top of a hill so we could enjoy the fantastic views over the bay and also walk off our dinner.
We found the food fine, and there was always something there that we both liked.
The entertainment was a bit of a joke, particualarly the man dressed up as a woman!
We are now returning in May with our children and can't wait to get there!

I am surprised by some of the comments left here previously. I went to Club Santa Ponsa with my girlfriend for a week, and had a lovely time. Despite going in March the weather was lovely.
Food is nice, but my girlfriend is a veggie and didn

This hotel has wonderful views as it is perched on a hill face, therein lies the problem as it is 224 steps down to the beach and all of the rooms require steps.
The food was very poor with limited choice but lots of Spanish dishes, we had raw sausages one day. The beer was San Miguel but the strangest tasting san mig I've ever had didn
