Fantastic resort, the best in Menorca.
Beach is fantastic life guards patrol the beach regularly.
There are a couple of restaurants and shops on the beach front, can be a little more expensive than in the town, but you expect that.
Eating out is very good; we ate at a different restaurant each day and always had good food.
Evening entertainment is spoiled for choice; the hotels always have a live singer or band and welcome anyone who buys a drink.
Definitely will come back

The beautiful beach at Santa Galdana is very clean and safe and ideal for young children. There are plenty of places to eat and everything you need for a lazy beach holiday. If you are the sporty type you can dive, snorkel and canoe and you can also hire boats and pedalos. A trip on the resort train will give you an idea of the layout of the place which is mainly villas and apartments with three bigger hotels. There are walks to other beaches in both directions but we found them very busy in August. There is entertainment every evening in the square and young children are catered for as well. However if you want more than a beautiful beach to enjoy you can use the resort as a base to explore further. The bus service is good and you can easily get to Cuitedella and Mahon, both worth a visit. We would recommend the harbour cruise in Mahon, very enjoyable especially on a hot day. If you want to see the rest of the island, especially the north you need to hire a car. We tried to hire one when we got there but they had all gone so we would suggest that you fix this up before you go. The road out of Santa Galdana is good so it is easy to pick up the main road through the island. We would go again because it is a beautiful spot but we would make sure that we had a car to use when we tired of lying on a beach !

The resort is ideal for families with younger children. Wouldnt recommend it for families with teenagers as very little for them to do. Our children are 2 and 7 and they loved the 2 water slides at the cafe bar across the road from the apartments. 28 goes for 5 euros. No need to use all in one day either as you get the tokens in a bag. Feeding the ducks on the way to the beach was good too as was feeding the fish in the sea who come up to you and take the bread from your hands. The square has mini disco and adult entertainment and some lovely bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

The resort is very small only 4 decent sized hotels but on visiting others and asking about the Cala Galdana was the best. The resort entertainment visit every hotel but is very poor .The best acts were in the square where they involved the audience more. The beach is very good and if you fancy an hour walk you can walk a well marked trail ,with viewpoints,to another beach with cafe (its not to bad a walk as plenty of elderly managed it).
I would visit resort again if i wanted a very relaxing week (not enough there to occupy us for 2 weeks).

I’ve heard Cala Galdana described as a quiet resort that is true but it does have the beach and various bars with most of the entertainment in the hotels at night. The entertainment is in the three hotels in the resort with in my opinion the Cala Galdana hotel the best of the three.
The resort is in a small bay with a gentle beach. There are a few pedalo type boats for hire and also a diving school if you wish to try scuba. The beach is clean and sandy although there are few sahell fragments in amongst the sand. There are three places for snacks along the main walkway and then the restaurants in the town.
The island is not that big and we hired a car for three days just to get to some of the places of note. The main roads are good but be careful if you get diverted from them as some of the lesser used roads are almost as bad as ours at home.
Would I go back yes I would because there was enough going on without being in your face and you could stroll about in the evening and listen to all the varied entertainment available. A couple of criticisms is that it was dearer in the resort compared to the town about four miles inland called Ferreries and the cost of two sunbeds and brollie at €22 per day seemed dear to me.
