Cala Galdana is a really special little bay. It's quiet without being deserted, although I sense this may change as it is getting increasingly popular and there are a couple of big hotels. Quite a few of the hotels are set further up the hill and this could be a problem for some although they are no steeper than anywhere else. The resort generally is really well kept, although further back fro the beach is a 'river' which is not particualrly scenic adn the further away from the centre you go the more this applies. The beach is fantatsic, although the pine needles can be painful at one end, which is unfortunately next to the toilets, so it is impossible to avoid them.
There are several bars and restaruants, the best by a long way being the restaurant up on the headland, which not only serves good food, but has amazing views. Since we were staying half board this was the only restaurant we visited.
There are plenty of cafes along the front and along the back of the beach serving pretty typical snack foods, but none were particularly offensive and there are some good spots for breakfast with fresh pastries.

cala galdana is very pretty, clean, excellent redtaurants, we ate somewhere different each night, then walked through the square where lots of live entertainment, bars and cafe,s. Beach is first class pretty horseshoe bay.
