Having said that, the rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels provided daily.
The staff all over the hotel were very hard working and generally pleasant.
A word of warning..we were told that the rooms on row B or floor B (not sure which) have a rather unpleasant odour so when you check in try to avoid being allocated those rooms.
The head waiter in the dining room kept his finger on the pulse and tables were cleared and changed efficiently and quickly......sometimes a little too quick. (If you need to get up from the table to collect a utensil or cup etc, tell your family to keep an eye on your meal or it will disappear!).
The food was ok, adequate - not five star but then you're not paying five star prices. Generally even the pickiest of guests will find something to their liking.
Free snacks are on offer all day in the dining room with free tubs of ice-cream in the fridges at the far end of the room.
Outside there are two pools. A smaller shallower pool for the little ones in a large grassed area and that leads down to the larger, deeper (feezing!) pool in a very large pleasant paved area.
However, this area is a day long sun trap and there is LITTLE OR NO SHADE! Be warned!
Several people went to the shops to buy beach parasols as they are expensive to hire. Ohhh and what a smelly beach it is too! Visually it is stunning, but there is a horrible sewage smell which follows you into the sea and you try to not to think too hard about what you might be swimming in!!!
There is an Animation team which does quite a bit with the children in the day time and there is a different show every night till about 10.30-11ish.
Bars and lounges close and it's lights out at midnight so those who want to carry on socialising apparently had to do so quietly in the car park according to one disgruntled group of guests.
If you're not keen on listening to the sounds of childhood then the Cala'n Bosch Hotel isn't for you.
We went in September expecting fewer school age children but truanting was alive and well in this little part of Menorca!
The hotel has two lifts and plenty of ramps for those with mobility problems (however for those families with tiny children using a double tandem buggy, the lifts don't have the depth).
The Cala'n Bosch hotel generally does its best to please guests and we had quite a pleasant holiday.
It's definitely an ideal hotel for families with small children and we met several people who had made return visits.
However, I don't think we would.

Food was wonderful. My picky 2 1/2 year old never had a problem finding something to eat. Yes ok the hotel is in need to refurbishment and updating but the hotel is clean and the rooms are cleaned every day. Large pool was cold at this time of year but kids pool was fine and my daughter spent most of the day in it! Beach was lovely although one day we couldnt go in the sea due to it being too rough.

Food we had no fault with and always plenty to choice from.We had rooms at the front of the hotel and the veiw was great the sea one way the harbour the other.
great location could not be better.
Hotel was clean, rooms cleaned every day and the sheets and towels were clean and white and towels were changed often. Bathrooms could have a little attention payed to them.
Hotel staff were on the whole very nice and polite just one that let the side down.
Entertainment was a little poor but there was 6 off us so we made our own.
We all said that for the price we paid for our holiday this was value for money. Style of the hotel is a little old but for me you get balcony space and l like that. I guess if you want modern and perfect then you have to pay for it.
At the end of the day the choice is yours and we choose this and had a great holiday. With plenty of wall to wall sun shine.

The hotel was spotless in all areas. The food was some of the best we have had in a hotel in Spain this was our first time all inclusive and we enjoyed it.
In my opinion the location of this hotel is excellent right on the beach and close to the marina.
The staff were great.
I feel the entertainment was on the poor side but the kids did enjoy the kids disco at 8.30 every night.
We would go back to this hotel.
The only area I would like to see an improvement in is the bathrooms, they do need updating however they were very clean.

The room was fine, it was cleaned every day without fail. We were at the front of the hotel on the second floor and had lovely views out to sea. The location was great, only a few steps to the beach and just a short walk to the marina with its bars and restaurants etc.
We found the food to be excellent so did not need to eat elsewhere. As with most All Inclusive hotels We have stayed at, the food does get repetitive - you try feeding hundreds of people from all over the world and keeping them happy!! Saying that, it got that I would look forward to certain dishes and hoped that they would be on the menu that night!
The entertainment is good - the in-house Animacion team worked very hard and were lovely people - Hugo especially, he is mad!! Once they get you involved in the games etc, it gets addictive - we all wanted to win a Certificate and go on the stage in the evening.
The evening entertainment was very good, with discos, magic, parrot shows, singers, Spanish Dancing - the whole lot.
The bar staff were friendly and very accommodating - watch out for the vodkas, they are mind blowing!! I would stay at this hotel again.

Bad points first:
The hotel pool was Frezzing. I have travelled to many places at this time of year and have never been unable to go into a pool because of the temp.
The bar was understaffed of an evening with many people becoming frustrated.
Not enough sun beds around the pool as many were damaged or broken. We tied towels and other materials around our bed to stop it from falling down!
The beach is a little crowded and very brezzy. One full day and the day we were leaving the flag was red which meant we were unable to go in the sea on our last day.
hotel needs money spaent on upgarding rooms e.g damaged toilet seat, uneliable flush, very old patio doors that slam(becareful of small children trapping fingers).
Good points:
Bar around pool was good with very pleasent staff
Excellent position.
Quiet during the night.
Entertainment-not bad.
Marina near by is brillinat-shops-bars and many stalls seling the usual gifts, hair braiding etc..
Food was lovely although you cauld drink many beers without any affect!
General:
Good hotel but an hour and a half transfer time. marina is the best area to be in of a night. Dissapointed with the pool been so cold.
The weather wasnt that warm for august as it was quite cloudy and windy so night times were cooler. If going to this resort try the Amigo boat trip that visits the nudist beach-Never laughed so much as I did that day!

On arrival we were pleasantly suprised with the outside and location of the hotel, but inside it was obvious that the refurbishment had not taken place.
The rooms were very dated and all the drawers had a funny smell!! But that was the only down side of our stay. We had a great week and could have stayed for another.
Food was lovely and always lots of choice.
Staff were very friendly and location was great.
We would certainly come back to this hotel but will wait for the refurbishment please!!

The hotel is superbly situated, beach one side and harbour on the other. All resort amenities close by.
The staff work extremely hard from the chamber maids through to the restaurant staff and a warm welcome from reception.
The food is very good - we are not fussy eaters. I have to say I was impressed by the quality and the variety of the food.
The hotel has the AI down to a fine art.
The entertainment was ok. Bingo every night and a mini disco for the younger children. Again, the staff work hard. We were asked several times by the staff if we wanted to join in with various activities but its not really our thing (so not the hotels fault is what I am trying to say!)
My only negative comment is that the hotel is in need of refurbishment. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked and the grouting around the bath mouldy - it all looked a bit scummy to be honest - but again, in the hotels defence there are staff cleaning all the time.

BUT..................
The rules are very strict you cannot drink past 12 o clock (11 o clock our time) the security called the police. My children was so scared 1 of them wet themselves (aged 7 ). When reported to rep she said she would get back to me never did to much hassle.
One of the reception ladys was very polite and spoke very good English.
The animation team was impossible to find and when they done a game they would need a 2 hour break. IF YOU DON'T JOIN IN IN THE EVENING THE DON'T TRY TO GET YOU UP THEY JUST SAY FORGET WE WILL DO A QUIZ INSTEAD.
The food although was niceish it became boring and samey ofter day 4
At 10 on the dot the breakfast was taken away and you couldn't get anything else. THE SAME AT EVERY MEAL TIME. You queued like sheep every time you had to go into the dinning room. Oh the ice cream a little pot which you cannot take out of the dinning room the staff a watching you all the time.
I feel it was catered for the lower end of the market because this was not our cup of tea
HAPPY HOLIDAYS.............
