Beaches

Second time to Cala'n Bosch and its got all top marks for me. The harbour is obviously the centre attention with ample bars and restaurants and a great place for the kids called goody goody's. The beach is only a stone throw away from harbour which makes the resort whatit is. Lovely place and can see a third visit shortly

we went early May and the weather was bad,but in the summer should be nice with a good beach and resturants and the locals very helpful and nice.

Our party of 12 stayed in a villa approximately 10 mins. walk from Cala'n Bosch marina. Although we were within close proximity to the resort centre, we only spent 3 evenings there during our two week stay. In each of the restaurants we visited, the staff were polite and efficient and the food was average but well priced. There was very little authentic Spanish food on the menus and almost everything came served with chips! Our best meals by far were at the port in Ciutadella. If you want 'authentic', avoid the beach resorts!
Every part of the island we visited, including Cala'n Bosch, is kept very clean. Venture further from the resort centre though and parts of it begin to look tired. The paving in particular is in a poor state of disrepair.
I wasn't aware of much in the way of resort entertainment at night, but being part of such a large group, we never felt the need to seek it. We made our own entertainment! I'm glad we had cars for the duration of our holiday though, as it gave us the freedom to explore the rest of the island. We could not have done the same thing every night for 2 weeks and kept our sanity and friendships intact!
During the day, Aquarock is worth a visit. We had lunch at the villa first then arrived at the waterpark after 2.30pm when admission is considerably less. The park is open until 6pm, so you still get 3.5 hours which is probably long enough for most people anyway! We didn't do the go-karting next door, there's a place on the ME-1 towards Mao that does it for much less. (It's next to the mock castle/fortress looking building that sells Lladro!)
We avoided the small beach at Cala'n Bosch as it was always so crowded. It looked clean and the sand was lovely, but way too busy for us. Again, because of the cars, we were able to plan days on beaches further afield. We visited the neighbouring beach at Son Xoriguer only once, but didn't stay long - even the children (aged 9) were happy to leave! It is a larger beach, therefore less crowded, but compared to other beaches, it just didn't come up to scratch.
We may return one day,(never say never), but with so many other destinations to choose from, why restrict ourselves? Overall, Cala'n Bosch was a good base for our holiday and we did have a fantastic time. I would however, strongly recommend car hire as there is so much more to Menorca. We packed alot into our fortnight and the memories will last a lifetime.

Lovely resort did not feel too english or commercialised. Restaurants were lovely our particular favourites were Taco Negro, La Fontana and La Tapas. The beach is gorgeous but does get very busy. The sea is crystal clear.

This resort is small but nice . beach small but very clean .a major down side with cala`n bosch is it is very expensive we were lucky we were all-inclusive because we would not have been able to aford to eat or drink out every day , also a lack of bars, mostly restaurants very little entertainment . on the two nights we did leave the hotel we went to the irish bar and enjoyed .
