The resort is pretty low key if your looking for a liitle nightlife behond the hotel there is a bar called chaplins at the marina which is open till 4 in the morning.
staff there are excellent.
Next door is a bar called Legends which had all your sports and programmes like x factor if you want to watch it. there sunday lunches looked excellent.
The resort is basically situated around the marina with all the bars and resturants.
it is really pretty and nice to walk down there in the evening. there are a couple of shops not many selling souvineers etc.
beach is really nice but if youwant a good spot get there early as we went later on and couldnt get an umbrella. by the way they are 6 euros an umbrella so probably cheaper to buy your own.

Was nicely surprised at how clean the resort was. Cant really comment on entertainment as wife and i like to eat out and quiet drink. But some eating places were near where a couple of blokes sang and played music which was pleasant background music. Marina lovely went on boat trip around the beaches and a stop at another beach for 1.5 hours which was nice.Would def recommend the area wasnt noisy but dont know what its like in mid summer

CalanBosch has a very pretty marina with loads of restaurants and shops. Boat trips run from the marina. The choice of restaurants is excellent. Everywhere is extremely clean. There is an excellent bus service to Cuitadella from early morning to late at night and the buses run every 20 minutes.
CalanBosch beach is very nice, although a bit small. The beach bar is very good. There are lots of umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach, for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella it is 18 euros per day. The beach is quite crowded by mid morning.
The second beach for the resort is Son Xoriguer, which is larger and costs 21 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella.

Calan Bosch is a beautiful resort, one of the nicest we've been to, the place is spotlessly clean, the people are lovely (except in the Brittania Bar at the end of the harbour, we wouldn't go there again the staff were very rude!) but every where else we went was fabulous, There are lots & Lots of Bars & resturants all around the Harbour (feed the fish there with bread!) we mainly ate in the "El Pato's" resturant the food there was lovely & pretty reasonable too. the only thing we found, was the drinks were quite expensive, especially in the "comfy chairs" bar (as we called it) but you get a really nice Pina Colada there & Live entertainment. The beaches are lovely, white sand & clear turquois water. Go before October because things start closing down then. We ended up in the "Shamrock" Irish Bar, most nights, the live singer there is great & there's a real party atmosphere! Don't go to Calan Bosch if your looking for lots of night life & Disco's ect. (it's not Magaluf!!) but for couples & family's with young children, you can't go wrong!!! We met up with our good friends from Scotland (Hi Sharon & Martin) & a very good time was had by all!!
We were encouraged by the reps to go to the "Rancho Pedro"?? Theme night, it was billed as a western night, it cost 52 Euro's each, I would advise you not to waste your money, they fill you up with Sangria & Beer early on & through the night (that was great) but we feel that this was to disguise the mediocre entertainment & basic food, we've spent a lot less & seen far better!!! But you decide!! You can catch the bus to Cuitadella outside the hotel, it costs only 1.65 euro's each way & it's well worth taking a nice stroll through the narrow cobbled streets, lots of shops ect & a market on Saturday's 9-1pm. But be aware it's not cheap to buy gifts or food & drink there! The harbour there is very nice, but the resturants along it are very pricy, again, especially the drinks. Take the train ride around Calan Bosch, early in your holiday, it costs 7 euro's but we thought it was worth it.(you can pick it up on the harbour).
we will definitly go back, but next time with more money!!. Enjoy!!

The bus survice is great, always on time. Went to Cuitrenella and Cala n forcat a few times.
Tabacco shop in resort closed for the season while we were there so the nearest shop is Cuitrenella (sorry about the spelling).
All in all one of the nicest hotels and places I've been to.

There was no faulting the cleanliness of the resort. Streets were always clean. Due to the time of year we visited (29th Sept) some of the restaurants, around 3/4 were closing as we arrived but, however, there was still pleanty of others to choose from around the marina. We did feel a lack of atmospehere when we went out to eat (again could have been due to winding down for the season) but the food was always tasty and enjoyable but slightly repeatable, we would have liked to see more traditional spanish dishes. One of the beaches was a very short walk from our apartments and to get to the other you could take a little bus which was like a train with different compartments, at a small cost (2's and under free) you could take the 1/2 hr trip around the resort and get off at the beach or stay on for an hour. It was a great idea as the kids liked it and people would wave to you as you passed. You could also hire, not sure what you call them, bikes with two sets of pedals and extra seats at the front! which was good fun as you could stick the kids in the front and have a pedal around. There was plenty of little shops such as perfume, souvenieers etc. There was also a mini waterpark in the resort which was free although you did have to pay a small amount to use the water slides and seperate amounts for each of the bouncy castles but this was for all day use and you could come back later and still use them. There was also mini go-carts and rides, amusements. We took the bus into cala forcat which only takes about 30mins and the buses are airconditioned and very clean, bus driver very helpful. While there we went on 3 excursions the first being a trip to the water park which was a short trip to cala forcat. You took the bus by yourself, but when returning get the bus from the same side of the road as you got off as the bus is on a loop and turns around. Water park was great no complaints good for little ones and older ones. Great restaurant there. Our second trip was to Mahon, the capital. We were picked up from the hotel opposite and collected people from other hotels on our way. When we arrived we went to the harbour and went on the boat there, given all sorts of local history info, then went to local market, stoped for something to eat then carried on to local caves which had been turned into a nightclub then visited the local leather/shoe making shop. This trip was worth doing as it got you out of the resort and you seen more of the island and the tour guide was really nice and we enjoyed listening to the local history. Also visited the local Gin factory while at the harbour and tasted the different flavours of gin. We took the kids (ages 2&1/2 and 3&1/2) they did not get bored and loved the caves. Our final trip was to Pedro's Ranch. We were picked up at 7pm ish and took a small coach ride to Pedro's Ranch. We had a 3 course meal and really great entertainment for adults and kids only complaint was we were not informed at how long it would go on for (finished at 12) which was fine but obviously by this time the kids were getting very tired. For all of the trips my 2yr old went free which was great, did have to pay for my daughters meal when we got to Pedros Ranch though as becasue we did not pay for her there was no meal provided, which was fair enough, however, we weren't informed of this until we got there.Overall a great resort and it was a generally unfaultable first family holiday abroad, especially since we took under 5's with us. I would definitely visit again, maybe during a slightly more busy period to see if there is more going on.

We walked a long a main road to the harbour, this was fairly quiet.

The actual harbour is beautiful. Plenty of restaurants to choose from including italian, mexican, chinese & tapas. Lots of ice-cream & crepe stands. Also quite a few cocktail bars, one in particular (which got busy as was very popular) had live music every night. The BeeGee's night was really good. We paid about £25 for 6 cocktails & they were in very large glasses & nicely decorated.

The beach we went to was around 15 minutes walk, it was quite crowded nearer the sea. A little rocky in places but still quite pretty.

This resort was a little quiet for us. We did do one day trip, an island tour which was excellent value for money & the tour guide was great. It was interesting & we got some lovely photos of the island.

We liked the resort, it was only small but everything we were looking for. No loud discos. A lovely Marina and plenty for children to do - rides and arcades. The beach was beautiful - golden sand and clear shallow water. Quite busy but always a space ! Not much in the way of shopping - each shop was pretty similar selling the usual gifts. We also felt very safe walking around at night and found the people very friendly. We would definitely go back again.
