Siestamar Apartments are in two separate complexes divided by a road.
The main block 'Siestemar 2' is right opposite 2 supermarkets and close to the village centre, which is handy for food and entertainment. However, can be noisy till late in the evenings.
'Siestemar 1' is further away from the centre, has its own pool and probably quieter. We stayed at edge of 'Siestemar 2' which backed onto Sa Paissa resturant/bar/accommodation complex with entertainment loud late at night. We would not wish to stay in that particular complex again.
The apartment blocks were no more than 3 stories high. Our 3rd floor studio was quite basic but well maintained and fairly comfortable for a couple.
Beach is reached by road or via 200 steps with resting places. Siestemar runs a minibus to and from the beach or you can use the road'train' for a few Euros.
There appears to be lots of things for kids to do at the complex and entertainment for them in the evenings.

We stayed in siestamar 2, the hub of the complex and was self catering, and must say the apparment was very well presented and tidy. the appartment was quite basic, but catered for all our needs.
The food at the hotel was not all that expensive, but must say was not that impressed with the food it'self.
Also be warned.. the deserts look alot bigger in the menues!
The hotel staff were nice, the reps were nutters!,especialy one of them..
The entertainment is excellent for familys. There is so much for the kids to do, but not very ideal for couples. Was not very pleased about the sunbed situation, especialy when towels were left on them during the night to reserve their place in the morning. All in all would not wish to stay at the complex again.. But thumbs up to the reps.

Recently come back from Siestamar 2 and must say had a great time.
I never thought staying in a small resort (Cala'n Porter) would be up my street but i was proved wrong, there were enough decent restaurants to go to such as ..The Castle, Sa Paissa, El Pupo etc.. if not eating in the apartment complex and all catered well for kiddies also and also a few bars to have a few late light ales also.
At Siestamar 2 the nightly entertainment for the adults was good i'd say 10 times out of 14 so on average that wasn't bad and the entertainers for the kiddies were excellent........Ricco, Olivia and Veronica were on a different level to other hotels childrens entertainers and were permanantly hyperactive which the kids loved, there were also kids clubs (saviours) throughout the day between 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm, 4pm-6pm and 7:00pm - 8:30pm.
In the day there was the usual games throughout the day for adults & kids, such as Killer-pool, Archery, shooting, waterslide races, Football matches (not good in 120 degrees..i can assure you !!) water-polo etc..
The pools at Siestamar 2 are good for adults and kids but be warned about the demand for sunbeds, gets a bit busy down there at 9am !!
The coved beach is also very nice with a few bars, restaurants but beware it is down 190 odd steps so not for the elderly or those with buggies although Siestamar does run a courtesy bus (mini-bus) to and from the resort.
All in all it gets the thumbs up from me as the wife a nd kids had a great time, will go back.
