In August 2005, the 8 of us travelled once again to the sunny island of Menorca and stayed in the wonderful blanc palace. This was the 6th time we visited Sa Caleta, 3 times staying at Son Blanc and for 4 of us, 3 times at Blanc Palace.

Sa Caleta remains extremely clean with a quiet little beach 2 mins walk away from the hotel. Although there isn't much to do, there are a number of shops to visit, and hiring a car does allow you to visit other towns, go go-karting and visit the 2 water-parks.

There are a number of restaurants on near by beaches which you can get to by car or walking(5-10mins by foot) We recommend Sa Nacra, Sa Quadra and Bahia. If you want to venture further away, Es Caliu is brilliant and you can find some fanatastic places in Ciudadella.

A lovely pleaceful resort for those who just want to relax in the sun.

Sa Caleta - very residential, music stops at midnight, except onkawa pub - 4am and one bar in the centro 4 am, not a lot going on no tourist shops - not a bad thing!! Beach is graet and the water crystal clear, no smells when i was there, beach does get very busy by midday

A very quiet and flat resort (in all kinds of ways)- older teenagers may sulk ! The 'beach' also just a tiny cove cut into a flat bed of rock (good for jumping off though..)

BUT a great place to be based if you like to explore, venture further afield and are'nt into the joys of mega resorts. Excellent, cheap, frequent and reliable bus links to trendy Ciutedella and resorts further South. Not too much traffic, cycle routes along most of the main roads and cycle hire next door.

Only a short drive to a long list of beauty spots - some of the finest and most unspoilt beaches in Europe ? We'd go again

The resort was always clean, and the cleaners were very helpful and spoke english so you could ask them easily if you needed anything.

The entertainment was provided by the reps during the day and evening and it was fantastic! they made you want to get involved, and eveyrone had so much fun!

The beach was so close, and lovely once you got down to it. Access was a big problem, the steps were difficult to use and it was hard to get back up them. There was a huge tree which was covered in ants which you 'could' use for balance !!

Resort was lovelly but very small. Not much outside of apartments actually in Sa Caleta. Only handful of bars/restaurants there. But Cuitadella only 15 min walk away. Beach was small but kept exceptionally clean. Another bigger beach only 5 mins walk away. Water very clean and clear. Great for little ones.

Whole island easy to get around and quite beautiful.

Make sure you take plenty of money. Didn't realise how expensive Menorca was.

Nothing in resort only a couple of restaurants supermarkets and commercial centre. It suited us fine. Restaurants were poor the only good one was The steak house at the end of the second beach. Restaurant in commercial centre not too bad. Don't go to the restaurant accross the road from the centre. Staff fussing around like busy bees, service very bad foot dreadful.

The complex Son Blanc was excelled and entertainment non stop from 11 in monring to 11.30 evening.

The location of the resort was ideal for our holiday as it was in a less developed part of the Island but for someone who isn't willing to hire a car to explore would maybe find the buses very cramped and hot (as we used the public transport during our first couple of days, then decided to hire a car, thus giving us the freedom to explore and get lost due to a bad navigator, who finally got his bearings on the last day!!)

A couple of minutes walk was a lovely little shop and restuarant (the only ones within walking distance!apart from the shop on site). The restaurant staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. The prices were all reasonable in the restaurant and the shop.

Overall, this holiday was a very enjoyable holiday and we will be returning again next year! Watch out we'll be back and well done to all the staff at the Sa Caleta Playa Appartments.

The resort was very nice but quiet and not for those looking for a buzzing night life and lots of shops. There was a small sandy cove nearby which was quite busy when we visited and the price of the drinks and ice-creams was a complete rip-off - they charged at least double the price!

Sa Caleta is a very small resort, with only 2 bars, a restaurant and a souvenir shop within 5 minuts walk. However, there is a very good daily bus service that can be used to travel to the old town of Cuitadella, as well as bigger resorts such as Cala'n Bosch and Cala Blanca.

The resort is very clean and is cleaned nearly every day.
The entertainment around the pool during the day is great for the kids and everyone loved the adult's water polo! Every night there is a show in the bar which is entertaining.
The beach is less than a 5minuets walk away and it is a small sandy beach with a snack bar.
