The resort,Son Bou,was very clean and you would very rarely see litter.

We didn't need to go to any of the resort entertainment because the shows at the hotel were brilliant, but from what I saw, the clubs and family clubs were very good.

We spent a lot of time on the beach and the sea was so clear and warm that we spent more time in it than in the pool.

I would definitly visit Son Bou again.

Son Bou is a lovely resort, we felt very safe for children. The beach is lovely and very clean, although the sun beds are a bit expensive (17 euros for 2 beds and umberella). Plenty of variety for eating out, couple of supermarkets. Although we found las Dundas not very nice. Cococobanna club really good, also do entertainment, although most entertainment is within comples or hotels. We had a 17yr old who found the entertainment a bit tame, but he still enjoyed the holiday. We visited the Waterparc on the opposite side of the island through the skytours day trip which was really good. We also did the dancing horses which the kids enjoyed. On the whole a really enjoyable holiday.

The beach at Son Bou is quite crowded, there are two very large hotels on the beach front.

Half the beach is a nudist beach, so it's as well to be aware of that. Sand quite coarse and dark, pedalos and sunbeds for hire.

There is no entertainment (thank god). Son Bou is a quiet, relatively undeveloped area as yet.

Son bou is a small yet busy resort which was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. We only saw one disco / nightclub but then again we were on a family holiday and not really looking for night life. Some of the themed bars were very welcoming and the children were kept entertained by the bar staff on roller skates! The beach was clean and the sea was warm and welcoming. The sun beds however were rather expensive and not enough places to buy drinks - so make sure you take plenty with you. We are definately looking into returning to son bou.

The resort was nice and had a good selection of shops and restaurants, we had a Chinese meal a couple of nights and that was very nice.

The best restaurant we went to was the Comfortella (up the hill and turn left) the steak there was cooked beautifully.

All the bars were used to having children running around and the staff were very good with them. The sangria in the resturant outside the enterance to the hotel was the best in the resort!!

Don't know if I would go back to Son Bou, probably not it was a little too small. We stayed for 2 weeks perhaps 1 week or 10 days max would have been better.

The resort was very clean and quiet, only a few bars but they were all too laid back with little or no entertainment. Joseph's bar needs to be checked out, cheapest beer in the resort and made great bagguetts.

The resort is fairly small but has a good choice of shops, restaurants & bars. It is child friendly in most bars but the shops were not that keen on children walking around. The best bar was the Hawiain bar as it sold great cocktails for kids and adults and the kids loved the bar staff as they wear roller-skates! Joseph's bar was great for food and drinks. There is a lovely bus/train that takes you around the resort for about 20 mins and costs 6 euros p.p. Again, if you are going with kids there is a fun park next to the Milanos hotel that has trampolines, bouncy castle etc and is very reasonable in price and gives adults a much needed rest after dinner.
Hope you enjoy your holiday!

Very clean all around the resort. Not much going on though, like I sad only a few restaurants and bars.
The beach was lovely but 17 euros for sunbeds, rip off. Also lots of jellyfish in the sea. My children were scared to get in the water as a little girl got stung by one.
Would not recommend this resort or the hotel. Wont be going back.

Son Bou is a small resort with limited facilities. Beautiful beach, brilliant for snorkelling and kids.

son bou is a great compact place to stay. there are lots of restaurants around the few streets and you can easily walk around the lot in 20 minutes.

everywhere we ate served good food. Particularly good was the san jamie club - I can recommend the roast lamb and the chinese restaurant next to the Irish Bar - gave us extra pancakes with our duck as that was all our daughter was apparently eating that day.

I think though that the best place to eat was in one of the beach front restaurants. On the beach are 3 restaurants, the middle one, which you can see as you walk down the road to the beach served good food, gave us a little starter before our meal for free, a drink after our meal for free and sweets for the kids.

The view is superb over the beach towards the rocky coast. At one of our meals there I had forgotten that I could not pay on plastic. I was short by £5 in cash and the owner said not to worry. I came back the next day with the shortfall and he gave me a drink on the house! Last time that happened in england I had to leave my family as security while I went to get some cash.

all in all very friendly resort - would definately come again
