Beaches

It was probably because it was the end of the season that the town seemed to have let itself go to seed a bit, not very clean and the shops, bars not well stocked and staff a bit tired

The beach was lovely, white sand and clear blue sea.
There is a small fairground which is open in the evenings for the kids which is nice when you have been for a meal to tire the kids out.
The sun loungers on the beach are very expensive, it was 18 euros per bed but he did give us a free umberella which he then took back when we weren't looking, I would recommend you take a few towels!
There are a few good beach style shops and a couple of designer shops. There is about 6 restaurants to choose from one with a parrot which the kids loved! It also sold English type food. There are a couple of Chinese restaurants one of which the staff were a bit pushy, practically took your hand as you walked by, a supermarket which was quite reasonable prices, (much better than the hotel shops).

Beach is one of the best, we met a couple who had traveled from a far distance to visit this beach we were told even before we arrived that Sou Bou beach was one of the best in Menorca and we were not dissapointed.
Supermarket very reasonable and much cheaper than hotel shops.
Lots of resturants but no bars as the restaurants had them built in.
Kids enjoyed the English restaurant which had a parrot in the front of the resturant, it was talking to them in Spanish and English.
Take the train bus back from there on a night time it is a lovely ride and very nice views and goes to most hotels in Son Bou, romantic for adults and great for kids but take a cardigan can get a little chilly late at night on the train as it is all open. It was a reasonable fare too at 2 euros and kids under 4 go free.
Enjoy your holiday.

Son bou was a lovely resort, with a handful of restaurants and bars, all serving the same basic meals. To be fair, with a child of 4yrs old we didn't really go looking for any lively or late night entertainment in the resort. The Hawaiian Bar always looked quite busy, but usually after having our evening meal we headed back to our pool bar for the entertainment!!
The beach was lovely and quite shallow for young ones. Very busy the times we were down. We took our own mats and umbrellas, as they were quite pricy to hire down there.

Son Bou is a lovely resort, very clean and well looked after. There are plenty of restaurants and bars etc to choose from but not on the scale of the larger resort of majorca. The whole complex is well laid out, with the added bonus that there are plenty of shops for gifts, ice creams etc. Beach is one of the best i've visited miles of white sand. People are very friendly on the island and really polite and helpful. An excellent family holiday fully recommended.

San bou is quiet small and apart from the summer, I think it's very death. There are lots of fun bars and the beach is great!

The resort cleanliness was just acceptable. The entertaiment was more or less like a cheap local pub. The beach in my view was a bit untidy and the water sports really expensive for what they were. I wouldn't go back there even if I was paid.

This is an ideal resort for families and both my 5 and 8 year olds enjoyed the beach which is very popular. Be careful though a brolly and two beds may be the cost of a good lunch if you are not careful.
Prices in beach bars/cafes were good and kids and adults were both catered for.

sun bou is small but very nice, great bars, and resturants try the chinese in the centre of town it is first class.
we are going back in 2007 i hope things havent changed too much.there is a very good hawaii themed bar the whole place looks realy good the staff serve you on roller skates with cocktails with three foot long straws so you can lie back in the large bamboo seats and swing seats and enjoy. there's even non alcohol ones so the kids can have fun too. this is a very family frendly resort its small but its just enough to have the best holiday ever.

Son bou is a lovely resort but very small. I would recommend Las dunas to eat the food was great and the staff very friendly-excellent.We ate there most nights, the house wine very good!
We went to the"Copa cobana" club most nights good family place-great entertainment-Beatles,Four tops and Abba tribute groups were excellent! We also went in the hawaii bar a few times!
A good holiday for a week but i felt that the resort was a little small for a two week holiday, we hired a car in our week's stay!!!
